Ottawa Goodtime Centre

I'm giving a 3 star because i'm not looking to hurt someone's business.

Spent nearly 30 minutes in the store looking at clothing and trying on jackets. I was the only customer in the store. The sales associate never looked up from her computer. I walked in and out without a word. Customer service is everything. Especially in an evolving economy.

I was in to visit the service desk to sort out winter storage for two motorcycles. The staff seems to have turned over yet again but they appear to know their business and were pleasant and worked with my schedule to get my bikes serviced and ready for next season. Theory suggestion I could make is their computer system seems slow (from my side of the service counter.)

The parts department was excellent. Assisted with ensuring the best tires possible for my full dresses Indian Roadmaster were provided and, done so at a fair market value.

The service department however did not perform their tasks as promised. The replacement tires were to be installed by 1100am on a Thursday. I waited until 1pm without a word. I called to find out what was going on only to be told my vehicle was very complex. The service department mixed my bike up with a completely different make and model. I was then promised my bike would be ready for Friday at lunch. Once again I waited till 1pm to call. I was told then that my bike was ready.

A week later I took my bike to an Indian dealer due to vibration and weird noises.
I was advised that both wheels were out of balance and, that my drive belt was over tightened. When I called Good Time Centre, I was told their Indian rep was not available and, that I would need to wait a month for him to return or, I could pay some other shop (again) to repair Good Time Centre failure.

I asked to speak with the manager. I am still waiting three weeks later.

I've bought two bike here and always have had good service. Always been very helpful. I had issues with my front turn signal for my 2002 Ninja ZX-6R. Bruce in parts helped me out, put the part aside for me then walked me through how to install it myself. Easy peasy.

Recently had an issue with my 2005 BMW R1200GS. My headlight lens cracked from a stone. $1,000! Have to replace the whole light set and not just the cover. Not really forethought on those brilliant BMW engineers (or maybe it is - more money!). Parts department offered me some alternative solutions I could do myself.

I just wished I lived closer! Motorrad dealers in TO not that helpful.

Thanks Ottawa Good Time Centre! Just wish I had the money for that new R1250GSA! If I do, it will be with you guys.

Brought a simple Kawasaki 250 in for service. Took more then 2 months to do.
Front counter had little clue what back was up to, who knows what was going on in the back. When I finally came to get it, after phoning them a couple of times to prepare them, the battery was dead, did not start.
Guess no time for a test drive after having it after 2 months and over a $1000 later. Last visit here.

My husband and I were looking into Revit gear. We were going to try it on at the store to determine fit and size then buy online. We had great service from Shawn. He was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. It was Shawn's great customer service that we decided to buy at the store. There was a few mistakes with the items that had to be ordered in. The invoicing system delayed the transactions. 5 stars for Shawn but 2 stars for the store.
Edit: miscommunications happen but still get a better system or train the staff on using it. At 1 transaction, 3 different associates tried to finalize the order. We were waiting at least 30-45 mins. It still wasn't done correctly but we overpaid just to leave. We had to call back to get refunded the difference.

I was looking for a Speed Triple RS 2023. Found the last one they had in the showroom, put a deposit and passed the credit. Motorcycle delivered within few days. Everything was perfectly done. Cheers to to Jason for his perfect and respectful service. Thanks to Amanda that I made business with for credit. She has been ultra professional!

Very disappointed in Ottawa Goodtime Centre Service. Their Service department refused to install new Pirelli tires, I had purchased independently, on my 2013 rims simply because I had not purchased the tires from them. They said it was a liability issue. (!?) What is the difference between I handing the service tech the the shipping package with the new tire vs the parts department doing the same thing? I can't see a liability issue there. Seems to be a case of enforced 'upselling' of Goodtime services. As a long time frequenter and purchaser of their parts and accessories and user of their storage and maintenance services I will now think twice and look for alternatives before making the trip to Goodtime Centre.

Bought a bar end mirror for my R3 here, the staff Ben went above and beyond and helped me installed it perfectly. Great service and a good place to check out if you need motorcycle accessories.

Called service, voicemail no call back. Shortage of people or busy right?
Watch out if you get your bike fixed up here, ask for paperwork such as part orders and old parts other than the work order. Seems like they are doing short cuts.

Negative star if possible review.

Service people makes you go around in circles. Better find a local mechanic than this dealer.

Hopefully other people had good service in this dealership.

Promised you a date for pick up, expect a later date.

When they road test your bike, it means they just take it out of the shop to the parking lot.

Please go somewhere else if you want your bike serviced or stored.

Hopefully you get enough bad reviews that people would trust other dealership than yours.

The dealership should be named Bad Times.

Bought an Arien snowblower here. Great experience! In and out of there in about 15 minutes. Salesman answered everyone of my questions. Ensured I got the best deal possible. Gave me a complete demo. Machine was professionally set up and ready to go. Even loaded it in my truck for me!

I bought a 2022 Versys 300x from a dealer in Montreal and after 21 kms it was stalling out. Brought it to them with no notice, mechanic took a look within 10 minutes and diagnosed them problem in less than 30 seconds. The user manual was put under the seat and moved to cover the air intake.

They will be servicing my bike from here on.

I am very pleased with my experience I've received at Ottawa Good Time Center in purchasing my first brand new motorcycle. All staff in each department where extremely friendly, helpful andknowledgeable. Anytime I go back to the store, everyone is always ready to help me out. Great service. Very happy and pleased with my 2023 Trident 660 in Matt Baja Orange/Black. Thank you for the great experience.

I didn't have a great experience at all. Staff were all pleasant. I had called ahead to have my bike dropped off for a safety. Was told there was a 2 week backlog but if I drop my bike off there maybe a cancellation. No such luck but that was my choice. About 2 weeks passed and was called. Bike failed safety and would cost $800. I asked for the quote. 4 calls and one week later I was finally sent the quote in an email. $900. Detailed all that was wrong and why it failed. Said it needed oil, brake oil, fork oil, reflectors and seals replacement. I went down there, grabbed my bike and took it to a private dude. He said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my bike save for the reflectors. I added some stick on temporary reflectors, took it to Canadian Tire and within 30 mins I had my safety certified bike back.
To reiterate, staff were all pleasant but I was being taking for a ride (no pun intended). As a new rider I'm glad I had the sense to check around after what appeared to be an outrageous cost. Based on this experience I won't be back there.

Bought a used bike. Excellent courteous service. Helped me load the bike on the trailer. Will go back.

These guys know their stuff. Professionals, knowledgeable and courteous. Good selection of accessories and gear too. An upscale place.

Wow! I dropped my antique Honda Magna and dented the tank, 40 year old survivor and I screwed up. I asked Corey to make that day disappear. Tall order but Corey took care of it A to Z. Picked up my bike with a truely amazing paint job. It never happened! Thanks Corey!

Great part and service assistance. These guys know their stuff. Tons of bike selection from BMW, Kawasaki, Triumph.

I tried to place an order over the phone for motorcycle parts. I had to call repeatedly to see why I had not been called back. I was told that the parts counter was very busy, on a Monday morning, and walk-in business took priority over phone orders. I was fed up so I drove the 35 min in to get the parts ordered in person. There was no one waiting in line at the parts counter, one parts rep was on the phone! With a customer! And the other parts rep was at the counter waiting for me to walk up. When I told him why I was there, he then found the note from the phone message in his pile of notes that he knew were waiting, but didn’t seem too interested in taking care of them. So, instead of buying all the parts from them, I only bought what I knew I could only get from them, and ordered the rest, wait for it, over the phone from another dealer, and for a better price. Thank you Ottawa Goodtime Center for frustrating me into saving money.

I had a positive experience there today! The parts staff if friendly, knowledgeable, the prices are fair.
The sales person acknowledged me and my kids, made us feel comfortable.
He answered questions on the BMW S1000R. I learned a lot, and did not put down the other bike I was comparing to. Respecting the competition is something not all sales people understand.
Anyways, I'll come back to visit when I'm ready to make a move!

I've bought three bikes here but in my recent visit, I didn't see any of the salesmen that I dealt with. Always a good experience. The parts guy. Sandy, I think? He's a pretty helpful dude and I like dealing with him.

These guys know what they are doing! Good service on phone. Easy to set up appointment. Deliver ahead of time. Follow safety protocols. Reasonably priced.

Overall had a very good experience with the Ottawa Goodtime Centre. Service was good. Only a couple of small annoyances. 1) this is my 3rd motorcycle and the 1st time it did not come with a full tank of gas. Nothing worse than picking up your new bike looking forward to a great ride and learning I need to stop to gas up first. After dropping the money for the bike, you would think it could at least come full. 2) there was only 1 key so wanted to ensure I had a spare. Was told that the key would have to be factory and they did have a blank onsite. They recommended a locksmith down the street (awesome). But found out when I got there that I did not need a factory key. They made me one in about a minute for a third of the price of the blank! Goodtime Centre was good at giving me a store credit for the blank when returned. But all in all a good experience.

I'm new to motorcycle world but definitely felt welcome here. Great to see so many people who just enjoy riding and not the usual stereotypes I've seen around. Just good hearted people wanting to help you fnd what you like, not what they like.

Just bought my first new motorcycle from Terry. The process could not have been easier. Terry worked his magic and was able to get me the bike I wanted just under the deadline.and kept me posted every step of the way! (Everything is unpredictable during these Covid times.) He even sent me a photo of the crate my bike arrived in!

I was able to put enough Kilometres on the bike to bring it back for its first service four days later. The bike exceeded all expectations, as did the service dept.they took the time to answer all my questions and had me on my way in no time.

I really can’t say enough about how great my experience was. Oh, and a shout to Sam for setting me up with a great helmet.

Store is open by appointment but was able to get an opening on short notice. Good selection of gloves, found a pair I liked, good price, good service. Good COVID procedures - contact info list on entry, one-way path through store, was able to try some on, rejected gloves were set aside for sanitization. Overall good experience.

I dealt with Terry from the sales department who was helpful and let me choose my bike and do layaway payments during the winter months. Totally painless process! When I picked the bike up the service department was just as excited as I was and literally treated me like family. When I got to the dealership there was a minor problem with the battery since it sat during the winter. Battery was reading ok but would have taken some time to charge. They knew I had a 4 hour trip home and changed the Battery for me no questions asked. Any dealership will act nice when circumstances are perfect but this is how you can tell they are an EXCEPTIONAL dealership.can already say I'm planning on purchasing my next bike from these guys and honestly so beyond happy with the motorcycle I brought home. I can't thank you all enough!

Poor service center quality of work. Went to pick up my machine and it wouldn’t start after they performed simple fluid changes. The shop lead was disappointing in regard to how he handled my dissatisfaction. They’ve lost my business (servicing of 3 bikes, a quad, and purchase of any new gear). I’ll be transporting my bikes to Montréal for servicing going forward.

After looking for a good price on a clutch online, I decided to call Ottawa good time centre. I had assumed that the part I needed would be more expensive through them. I was wrong.got my clutch for almost half the cost of Amazon or Fortnine, same brand and I had it in 2 days. I will definitely be a return customer. Thanks very much!

Never dealt with a service representative as rude or incompetent in my life. He works in parts and doesn't know what he's talking about half the time. Can't hear me either. Didn't even bother to ask his name but he had long hair and long beard and tattoos down to to his hands. Maybe one of the tattoos pierced the part of his brain that gives a person an actual work ethic.

Called to have two tires installed and balanced. Was told by the service department that they don't install and balance tires not sold by themselves for rip off prices. No businesses make it refusing money! N

Great service. Had previously ordered some parts and due to the Covid protocols had to do curbside pickup. Called their phone from outside and had my parts in a few minutes. Thanks

Walked in the other day for some basic merch and window shopping.ended up talking to the young sales rep Terry, great guy with great customer service.awesome spot and makes me feel at home every visit (top and bottom floor).

Sales Department, specifically Kevin Wood, really good service. Easy to work with, attentive and helpful. Special requests handled with enthusiasm. Accessories Department (Michelle) knowledgeable and customer focused. Have had only casual experience with the Service Department, but my impression was positive. Would recommend this Dealership.
