Buyer Beware! Amateur installation. They installed engineered hardwood in winter but failed to allow for reasonable wood expansion during more humid summer months. Rookie mistake. We now have a huge “pitcher” mound in the centre of the room that they have promised to fix but it’s now been more than a year. This happened despite our house having controlled humidity with household air conditioning. And despite their promises to fix it (lies) ; they stopped communicating six months ago so it’s unlikely we will see them again. We got screwed.

Most disappointing experience. We had a contract to install hardwood throughout the first and second floor and to replace the staircase from "2nd floor to the basement. " I had paid in installments and had 2K left to pay when the owner informed me that he had increased the price of the job by an additional 2K. This despite the fact that we had a fixed price contract and no changes had been made to the contract or agreed upon. On top of that, he refused to complete my stairs to the basement as was stipulated in our contract and stopped halfway down. My stairs are a u-shape and the ones to the basement were only completed to the corner of the U (half way down). The owner told me that I was crazy and that I should have known that basement really meant halfway down to the U. He told me that he would complete the job for a special price of 1K. So in all he was trying to increase the fix price contract by more than 3K, without any changes to the services identified. He threatened to walk off the job and to lean my house if I didn't pay up. He left with more than 5K worth of work outstanding even though I had paid the full amount of the contract, less 2K. My paralegal has recommended that we attempt to reclaim the money through small claims court. We'll see. I do not recommend this company as they are not trustworthy and very aggressive.

I was searching for a flooring company and found Flooring. I have never used them before but they seemed to be the best option so I contacted them and they come out to the house the next day and did a great job.

Do not believe the 5 star reviews as they were most likely bought. I had bought a new house with a certain developer, I won't mention any names due to arbitration but dealing with this contractor is a nightmare.

This contractor always use some stop gap solution instead of actually replacing the poorly laid floor wood as they should have from the beginning. There is a 1/8 of an inch gap between this particular piece of floor wood in my living room and other floor wood pieces. You can clearly see it if you sit on my sofa.

Their tech always make excuses after excuses, it's been more than three times that I have raised the issue to them. And it's been more than a year, close to almost two years, since I closed on the house and it's still not fixed after I brought it up multiple times.

So overall the staircase we got from this company looks acceptable. When you get up close and personal though you do see evidence of poor workmanship, especially around the tops of the spindles. See photos for example.

We also had issues where they brought the wrong spindles and if we hadn’t noticed I’m sure they would have installed them. As it was, we did end up getting the wrong wall anchors on another part of our stairwell but it looks fine so we let it go…

I also had a problem wherein our newel posts look too high compared to our bannister and they mentioned that it’s because of the spindle height we chose and they can’t cut the newel posts down because of code (which, fair enough). I wish they could have done a 3D render like other companies are able to do so I would have been able to spot the issue in advance.

Have gone to this showroom to pick hardwood floors for our house and we were overwhelmed by the professionalism they showed.they were extremely helpful, very considerate and offering exactly what we need.we have also had their service team at our house multiple times and we received nothing but amazing service and treatment. Enjoyed working with everyone and would recommend to everyone we know. May.

I would just like to say that we had a great experience with Continental Flooring. We under took a renovation of our 40 year old home that has lasted five or six months during the pandemic and I must say that Continental conducted themselves very well compared to the rest of the trades that we have dealt with during this time. The president of the company is very colourful, experienced and knowledgeable. His employees were professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Was everything perfect during this engagement? Given the size and scope of what we were trying to do with four different levels of our house to be floored, the answer is “no” but we are very, very pleased with the results. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Continental to anyone!

Just had a new stair case done and over 3000 sqft of hardwood install through Continental Flooring! Couldn't be happier. They were very professional and help with all my request and questions. Would definitely hire them again. 1000% recommend.

The owners at Continental Flooring are extremely knowledgeable on their products and projects. I have a rental property that was flooded and needed urgent help. During the pandemic they went above and beyond to ensure we could get it done on time. The new floors look amazing and I most definitely recommend their services. I look forward to working with Continental Flooring in the near future to get new floors put in my house. 5 STARS!

I reached out by e-mail on February 2 2021 for a quote with pictures. We agree to proceed and I sent deposit. So I removed the stair railing on my stairs and had contractors come in on March 6 from Continental Flooring to start the replacement. I had previously sent the owner a picture of what I want (specified I wanted it in wood, send like 6 weeks ago). The contractors brought a huge post (I’m talking at least 8 inches in diameter) for the bottom stair instead of a continuous railing as in the picture. So I called the owner before they started to instal (and put holes in my stairs) and told him it’s very different from what I asked for. He then (for the first time), tells me it’s not to building code. So I told him he can’t just change my design without letting me know that what I wanted is not to building code. He should have emailed me back to ask me to pick another design. He told me he did. So I asked him to communicate with me in writing instead, so that things are not lost in phone calls. He then tells me they’re not doing the job anymore, tells his contractors to leave and leaves me with no railing. Problem here is lack of proper communication and coordination. Avoid this guy (Wojciech Sepowicz).

I don't recommend this company. Poor workmanship and even poorer customer service.
They installed hardwood floors for me last year. They left creaky spots in my living room. They wouldn't even return calls, let alone coming and fixing them.
They don't seem to want to honor their warranty so do business with them at your own risk.

Looked high and low for the right gray engineered hardwood. Great selection and prices.

I can't say anything about their flooring quality, but I certainly do not recommend to deal with their services for floor refinishing. The whole process looks like a scam. They want a 50% deposit in order to just schedule it. They refuse to provide a receipt for the deposit, they say it will just be deducted from the final bill. That's a very big red flag. Also, you pay HST on it, but they refuse to provide you with a contract, only the estimate, which they say is "legally binding", which is not at all true and have never been an issue with other contractors. So I have a feeling if you are not happy with the quality of their work, it would be your problem

Had an unpleasant experience. Requested a quote and the representative came, measured and provided me with a detailed estimate. I was informed that the work to remove/replace the flooring in my small condo would take 3-4 days. The first week, they ran out of flooring material and it would take a week to get delivered from Montreal. Following week, they ran out again and another week’s delay to get more sent. Thereafter, they came to install transition strips and ran out of materials. 4X and a month later, the work was completed. To my surprise, the final invoice was 104 sq ft more than the original due to their measurement error and an extra $900+. Not once did they reach out to provide a new estimate apologizing for the error nor did they follow up at any time to state that they had run out of materials. I only learned this when I continued to phone to ask what happened. First day in, one of the transition strips broke under my foot. I will not ask them back to replace/repair. The workmanship was good but the delays and extra cost will not see me return again.

Where do I start! We were doing major renovations before putting our house on the market and we went with Continental Flooring for the all the flooring and tiling, and it was the best decision possible!

Not only was their product top quality, the service from the owner, managing partners and installers were top notch!
We started off getting the two master bedrooms re-done with hardwood. After our first meeting with them, we decided to continue with Continental for the rest of the flooring decisions and soon discovered they would do the tiling for the bathroom and shower.

They were aware of the pressure and timeline we had and provided the best service in a timely manor. The owner even drove to Montreal on the weekend to make sure the product was being delivered at the right time to ensure project completion was on time.

Had Continental Flooring do the hardwood in my new home. I ended up going with there Lauzon product line up. The staff were very helpful and made choosing between the colors I had in mind easy. They took the time to explain certain parts of the process I did not understand.

Install was flawless. Highly skilled installers made the flooring look amazing even with challenging cutouts around my cultured stone fireplace. Vojcek and Dominic were very helpful and ensured the site was left spotless before there crew left. I would highly recommend this company as they go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied.

Worst company EVER! They have or had a contract with Tartan and my hardwood floors were all splitting and had gaps in them. Continental Flooring were the ones who put that original floor in. I complained to Tartan and they offered me a new floor but unfortunately I had to have Continental put the new floor in. They showed up in the morning and this was in March so it was pretty cold outside still. They brought the new flooring in and didn't even let it acclimatize to the temperature in my home. They just started ripping out the old floor and putting the new one in. 6 hours and they finished everything. Well guess what? The new floor was worse than the original floor. It was so bad! Full of huge gaps everywhere. Totally unacceptable! I called Tartan (President) discussing this horrific situation. Tartan let me choose a flooring company that I knew was reputable (after weeks of arguing back and forth) I found one and Tartan paid the company of my choice to replace my second hardwood flooring. Complete nightmare that entire situation was. Bottom line Continental Flooring is horrible I don't recommend them whatsoever!

We were very impressed with the services and flooring we purchased from Continental Flooring.
We had a 4 1/4” solid cherry floor installed on the ground floor of our century home.
One of the owners came to our home and gave us advise on material and installation methods in covering the existing floor.
The price was good, the material (cherry) was the perfect choice in fitting with the home’s existing millwork. The installer, Igor, did a fantastic job and was very detailed in his work. Excellent craftsmanship and excellent services from the two owners made this a perfect project from start to finish.
