Ottawa Marriott Hotel

The service is good in general but specially Sam at front desk really made my stay so welcoming!

SCAM HOTEL! DONT COME!

We booked and prepaid via a third party company, and we were charged by Marriott again 10+ days after our stay without notice. The hotel says since they never received the money from the third party so they have to charge us, and ask us to contact the third party ourselves to get the money back. Come and stay if you like to get charged twice.

The bathroom did not have body wash and only 2 towels. I called for more body wash and towels and each time it took 2 calls to actually get someone to come. It was frustrating. The hotel is generally very short-staffed. Checking in/out took 30 mins because only one counter was open and there was a line of 3-4 people ahead of us always.

The hotel location is good. Close to some the parliament buildings, Rideau Canal and nice restaurants in the area. I stayed there for 2 nights from the 8th of July I was very disappointed that as a Bonvoy member I asked to for late check-out just one hour and was told it wasn't available. Thankfully when I was leaving the gentleman at the frontdesk asked about my stay and I informed him of this and he apologized and said I could have the room for the additional hour. His name is Elias so I guess it really depends on who is on duty.

We had a wonderful experience. The hotel was right where we needed to be to explore Ottawa at our leisure. Very nice pool, gym and games room. Sadly we didn't get to use them because we were busy with seeing museums.
I was very glad of the attendant who directed us how to park, because we would have had difficulty finding the lot otherwise.

Modern and well equipped hotel located in the heart of Downtown Ottawa. Excellent service throughout our stay and very pleasant staff interactions. Room was very well appointed with a beautiful view over the Ottawa skyline and river. Room had been cleaned to a high standard ahead of our arrival and sheets were crisp and white. Convenient and affordable on-site parking (underground) and lots of food and drink nearby! Overall great stay and would definitely return in the future! Thank you Ottawa Marriott!

The hotel itself was nice.very due for a renovation, but nice. The staff were excellent, pleasant and helpful. Well done!

The downside, wow.was breakfast at Spin. Does your chef have some affliction that neutralizes his taste buds? The eggs were tasteless, the bacon tasted like it was peeled off of last Thanksgiving's turkey. Dry fruit bowl and deep fried potato chunks (oh no, those are not even remotely hash browns). $17.00 each.that was horrible. Time to up the restaurant game. Until the restaurant is improved, grab a free coffee in the lobby and go elsewhere in the morning to eat

I stayed 1 night at the marriott in downtown ottawa. Honestly one of the best hotels i ever stayed at. The service was amazing, quick and super friendly.

Even tho all the new restrictions due to Covid the starbucks was still open as well as the Spin Restaurant on the last floor. (For order to room only). Unfortunately I did not get the chance to try it out but the menu offered many options at decent price ranges.

The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was clean as well as the balcony and main room area

If you have the marriott/Bonvoy app you can check in/out as well as order service (extra pillows, chat with lobby, order food etc) to your room from your cellphone wich i thought was pretty usefull.

Overall a very good hotel, i highly suggest it. Especially during covid times the rates are more affordable.

Worth it.

Don't take room 2129. The bathroom handle is broken. My wife and I was locked during several minutes until we figured out a way to escape Alcatraz. What the owner is trying to say in his response is: on my day to checkout I complain to the front desk about this issue. The handle got fix. Add after the owner went to verify the bathroom's handle of room 2129. I don't really think that he or she calling me a liar.

Great stay and can't believe how good the room service was. Even during covid, the food was awesome. Fish and chips was light and crisp. Burger was fantastic. Hotel was clean and lots of alcohol wipes in the room, which seemed extra clean. Staff was very friendly. Starbucks in the lobby was open for breakfast. All in all a fantastic stay. Thank you Ottawa Marriott.

Had a great experience here although our waterview was a bit restricted (despite being one of the high end corner rooms). The staff were very friendly and accomodating. They made sure to make us feel welcomed. Housekeeping was fast too. Our room got a bit chilly and they quickly delivered a space heater. The fixtures can use a bit of an upgrade.

I am a monthly parking lot user and use the front entrance to access the underground parking lot. Staff are always polite when I walk by the front desk.

The staff are very friendly and are always ready to help.
We quarantined over here after our flight and found all the right amenities.
The food is great, not very expensive and tastes amazing!
The best part of the room are the views outside, being so close to the parliament!
Would definitely recommend.

Amazing stay at the Marriott. We stayed at a one bedroom suite with balcony overlooking parliament bldg and the view was amazing. Will surely go back again and again. Good service too from the front desk folks.
