Wow! We are so happy with our sons monument and bench. Patrick and his team really made a personalized masterpiece for our son. They helped us out last min with only a few days to produce after another supplier missed the dates for our son Funneral. We could not be more happy with the masterpiece they created for us in 3 days from design to completion.

From our initial phone call, Patrick O’Shaughnessy at Laurin Monuments made me feel comfortable in creating a unique headstone for installation in a small nearby Quebec town. Patrick actually price matched a quote my co-executor had on a design which I was not comfortable with, and assured me that with laser etching, we could create a look much more tailored result for my uncle’s legacy. I had no experience in any of this, and as one would expect, was stressed after dealing with the funeral preparations and all that comes with the sudden passing of a loved one. This business really is about people's lives, and the support I received in feeling heard along the way truly did make a difference. A particular nice touch was the image of my uncle which was etched into the headstone overnight. When I contacted Ottawa Monuments to have my step-dad’s inscription added to our family monument, I didn’t know the exact location at Notre Dame cemetery. It wasn’t an issue. Patrick located the headstone, helped with the wording, and then did an excellent job inscribing the stone. Quality work at a reasonable price.

I was concerned with the rating this business had received and then I started reading the comments. Seems that all that had dealings with this business for its services were very positive and the ones that were one star have nothing to do with what this business owner offers.

Dealing with Patrick brought great comfort to me at these otherwise very trying times. He is a kind man who wants to do nothing else but please you! His work will be what you want it to be as he takes great care in creating your monument for you and your loved one.

The Canadian Polish Congress-Ottawa District contracted Lauring Monuments to create a plaque with an inscriptioin to mark the 100th Anniversary of Poland regaining its Independence. The plaque was created as originally designed incorporating three languages, English, French and Polish including accents. The CPC-Ottawa District wishes to thank Patrick O’Shaugnessy and his team for ensuring that the etching was absolutely perfect, which indeed it was. This will be the third plaque created by Laurin Monuments for the Polish Community in Ottawa and we certainly recommend this firm.

I recently visited Ottawa and noticed the letters on my grandmother's headstone have faded over the years. I was very upset because I couldn't even see which year she past away! I don't have family there because I live in California now. So after I got home, I searched 'headstones' on Google and Ottawa Monuments popped up. I casually sent a message on their contact page on a Saturday afternoon thinking maybe no one would get back to me till Monday. To my surprise, Patrick called within 30 minutes (it was probably around 8 pm in Ottawa because of the time difference) He was very professional and understanding. He knew the exact location where my grandmother's stone was (just going off my bad directions). He assured me that repainting the letters was all that was needed and he was right. A week later, the picture he sent me looks as good as new! He even brought flowers to my grandmother! Thank you Patrick!
