The first, and hardest, hurdle was qualifying for a mortgage in the Ottawa real estate market. They have good salaries, work hard with little debt but as first timers struggled. Great experience working with this team! Matt Greig helped me with financing a personal investment property in Ottawa which included money back for renovations and then a re-finance 6 months later; The numbers were really tight but he came up with multiple solutions and spent hours on the phone with myself and the bank to make sure that the deal went through.
