Ottawa Public Library - Beaverbrook

A very modern and spacious yet cozy branch of the Ottawa Public Library. It has plenty of reading and study spaces on both floors. There are public computers and group study rooms, too. The library gets plenty of natural light. There is a tiny volunteer-run used book store just outside the main entrance of the library.

OPL is amazing. I especially love the Beaverbrook branch, the kids section and activities, and the book collection. We have attended a lot of their summer programming and borrowed countless books from the library. I love taking the kids there. Staff is wonderful and the library is always neat and well organized. Love it!

Everything except the after school parents picking up students is excellent.
Watch for summer hours.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Got a new card, helped find resource books for me, set me up on the computer and showed me how to sign out books! Look forward to going back. Also very quiet and relaxing!

Worse experience ever I had in my life, the lady responsible for story time on Saturday morning needs to educate how to behave with young kids. One kid grabbed a bell and my daughter (2 years old) loved to have one but lady did not offer one to my daughter, my daughter burst into tears so I left the room to be respectful to other kids because of my daughter cry and that lady shut the door on us! I couldn't believe she was behaving like that! I don't understand why people who hates kids why decide to work for kids!

Very accommodating and timely. Staff is extremely friendly and kind. Facilities are wonderful. One of the city's best libraries.

Love this library. It’s the closest one to our home and kids love spending time there. Lots of space to sit and read.

Excellent customer service. Honestly, I am impressed. The front desk personnel are highly skilled in their respective duties and goes above and beyond to meet customers need and answer any question, kudos to the team that works here! Really nice atmosphere for some quality reading time!

As a multi-millionaire and very rich software developer, I do not need to come to a library to acquire books, yet I do so anyways, because of the welcoming staff and sense of community at this library. It's quite good for my children to understand what it feels like to be a plebeian in our society. My only complaint is the fact that this wonderful library is located by the Earl of March high school and its generally unintelligent students often interrupt my thoughts with all the hooting and hollering.

Came here to run an event and the place was great. The staff were really nice in helping to get the event organized and also to help with some of the wifi issues we had. A great space for the event too!

Like it. But the upper room for booking is closed. They said it wasnt properly maintained by someone. So because of one person we all should be denied access to the facility?

Nice and quiet library.
It will be good if there was more variety of books to pick up for a quick reading or to take out right away, but it is always possible to order from the online catalog
