Ottawa Shawarma Palace

I know why it's so popular, the food is fantastic and the service is why people enjoy this place so much. Highly recommended.

Food is fantastic probably the best in the city. And you get tons of food for your money, The restaurant is a little messy. They ask to leave plates on the tables but if that is the policy they should clean a little more frequently as I would say 50% of the tables were messy.

By far my favorite Shawarma restaurant in Ottawa. The food is always excellent, the portions are large, and the staff are very friendly.

Very over priced. They charge 18$ for a chicken shawarma plate. There are many shawarma places in Ottawa that charge 14 for same quality. You are paying for the there renovations.

Fav shawarma place in Ottawa. Their mix platter (chicken and beef) is amazing! Great portions as well. Their shawarma wraps are also good - very filling.

Very bad chicken. Serving uncooked chicken and I specifically asked for 2 sauces and they never did.

The chicken shawarma is very good They are a bit busy they try to accommodate requests and are friendly The only downside is that it is debit or cash only Minimal seating inside only and proof of double vacation for dining in

Best Shawarma place in Ottawa. Tried many, but few compare to this one. It used to be even better with friendly and funny staff before the business moved and restructured, but the food is still great. I come from Kanata to get my Shawarma here.

Small portions. They have decreased the portions especially for to go orders. Not looking to visit again.

Amazing, delicious shawarma plates filled with fresh ingredients. I love the chicken, the garlic sauce and the potatoes here. Also great that they offer a brown rice option. Highly recommend this place for chicken shawarma plates and wraps. One of the best in all of Ontario!

Good shawarma here. The garlic paste is great. Consistency can be hit or miss depending on who's working and what time of day it is, but it's generally good. I usually get a small sandwich so it's so cheap I don't ever feel like I didn't get my money's worth. The cashier is a bit worthless though, she works very slowly (as if oblivious to how busy the store is) and is certainly a bottleneck to the entire chain that can cause longer waiting times. At least she's polite most of the time.

They have the best food. It's our regular spot for dinner. They have good number of healthy options. All of them taste wonderful in that chicken salad and potatoes are our favorite. Thier poutine also tastes good.

We had the best service from thier staff. Always smiling. Can't ask for more, Highly recommended.

With the new rules in effect, any business that wants to see my papers will be given a 1 star no matter how good their product or service is. The level of harassment I got here is incredible, thanks to that ill never come back here.

The overall shawarma platter was good. It seems a little bit on the quantity over quality side. But better than out west.

Very tasty food. We always take chicken plate, chicken salad and garloc potatoes. All these are very good. I suggest you guys visit if you are nearby

The place looked nice, but when I got my plate there was barely any chicken compared to the other shawarma places I’ve been to (including the shawarma palace on bank). I kindly asked the employee to add a bit more since there was barely any and he responded by arguing that he’s been working there for 14 years and wouldn’t add any more. I usually don’t make a big deal for portion sizes but there was literally less chicken on my plate than on a small sandwich. Bad customer service!

The food is excellent and definitely worth trying. The problem with this restaurant is their inability to manage crowd control when several customers walk in. Combine this with the fact that 3/4 of customers don’t know how to order, or they take their sweet time deciding what they want on their wrap or plate, you then have a recipe for disaster in terms of waiting for your food/order. I can’t count how many times I’ve walked out of the line or turned my car around simply due to this reason.

Definitely get a good bang for your buck in regards to price and the amount of food you get. Lots of options, with vegetarian options as well.

Great service and even better food! There was a line, but always worth the wait, don't let it deter you. Best shawarma in town!

What can I say. By far my favorite restaurant on planet earth.been going there for more than 15 years and their Garlic sauce still taste the same as back in the days.always my first stop whenever i go to Ottawa.

The girl there was very rude whi was working at cash during Saturday evening and she didn’t appreciate our honesty at all. She was charging us 5.31 instead of 55.31 and we told her after looking at our receipt that u charged us less we paid that extra 50$. Instead of appreciating our honesty she forgot to give us our full order and when we went back again to pick up our order that she never gave it to us. She refused to take the blame for that and was making rude comments. I swear to god that was the first time in my life that I regretted being so honest.

Is alriight but Not worth it even if the Garlic is tasty. Plenty of other shawarma shops that don't charge you for rice or tabouli in your sandwich. Which is a basic thing in middle eastern cuisine. Either way, I like parsley in my food.

This shawarma spot used to be great, the food quality and staff are just horrendous. The staff are very rude and they give the worst portion. Never again coming to this shawarma. Unless they get rid of these new employees because they are just the worst. They have no respect or even acknowledge what you specifically asked of them.

Definitely an Ottawa staple. The staff is nice, friendly and funny. They do not hesitate to put more meat in your shawarma wrap or plate and the food is seasoned well. I always get a mixed plate or two mixed wraps from there and the food have never disappointed me.

Friendliest humans and hands down THE best shawarma in Ottawa. Both in their old location and through the change over to their new shop across the street, they're still crushing it!

The food is delicious, but most staff there, especially the cashier lady, have difficulty smiling to customers' faces!

This place has worst customer service I ever have, I went there with my friend on weekend and girl in cash was so rude, First there was no greeting at all and she charged us $5.5 instead of $55, we showed Integrity and told her that you did mistake and charged us less amount Instead of appreciating us, she gave us only half order and when we went again to pick it up, I asked her why you did not give us full order and she rudely told me that its your mistake that you left. I wont recommend this place to anyone because of that bad customer service.

The amount of food you get has considerably decreased since they've moved locations, I would recommend going to another shawarma palace.

Oh man, this place is awesome! Not gonna lie though, it's more expensive than other places, and the portion might not be as big.
But when it tastes that good, who cares.

The Best Shawarma in Ottawa - hands down. They simply have the BEST marinades for their meats and their roasted garlic potatoes have no equal.

Rideau and South Keys locations are much better than the one on Carling Ave. Staff on Carling so rude food is disgusting, every time I go their they give me when I tell them to make the shawarma well done

There was a sharp piece of broken glass in my shawarma plate. It was the size of their potatoes and I almost choked on it. When I showed it to them, they only apologized and didn't offer to change my plate or offer a complimentary meal for next time. They simply didn't care.

Absolutely plain and overpriced food. Rice for platter was over spiced and the chicken was extremely dry no flavor or tender. Could improve better. Customer service was good though.

Very neat chicken meat and portion, unlike many shawarma place where the mince chicken fat, this place has lean chicken.

Amazing place, serve with smile and delicious food. Reasonable prize. We ordered 3 chicken large shawarma and really they are very tasty.
