Outback Steakhouse Niagara Falls

The food was amazing not sure if people order things that are random but the classics such as blooming onion was delicious as always. I had the Alison spring chicken was amazingly cooked and tasty. My gf had salmon which was massive portion and also tasty.

The only downside was the service was a bit slow other than that great food. Will come back.

Food was decent. But $140 US for 1 steak dinner, 1 chicken dinner and 2 kids entrees is INSANE for an outback steakhouse. The prices were so inflated here. I now know why the restaurant was dead. Only about 4-5 tables had people during the peak of niagra season and at 6pm.

So Niagara Falls restaurants are pricey and most of the time the food is dull but this restaurant takes the crown. The food was beyond tasteless the services was terrible and the washrooms were disgustingly dirty. If there was zero star they will earn it without hesitation. Do not go there to eat, you will be better eating at burger king

My husband and I have been looking for a restaurant with a blooming onion. I came across outback’s website and saw they had blooming onions on the menu so we thought we would give it a try. Sadly the blooming onion was so incredibly salty to the point we couldn’t even eat it, I know blooming onions are a salter food item but this tasted like someone put an extreme amount of salt. We had only a few bites and left.
Service was great just sadly not impressed with the food.

They add the nfdf scam fee to your bill and say the government adds it to every business in the falls. Yet every other business either doesn’t charge it or removes it when asked. Government also says its an optional fee. Scam.

Just an fyi that you do not have to pay the extra charge they try to add to your bill for tourist tax or as the server told us it was for fireworks total scam

Was looking forward to dinner at the Outback Steakhouse and what a mistake that was!

A disgusting, foul smell coming from the sewage pipes in the washroom which was dirty and had water on the floor from pipe leaks. That's a health and safety issue.

Food was awful. Over cooked and over priced. When the bill came, I had a 10% "NFDF" charge on bill pre-tax and was taxed for this! When asked about this charge I was told it's a mandatory fee that has been established since early 2000's to help local municipality maintain Niagara Falls for tourism. I have NEVER been charged this and I am an Ontario Resident! I will NEVER go back to Outback again and there is a reason the restaurant chain didn't survive in Canada. Save your money and go to The Keg!

Staff was very friendly and nice, shoutout to the waiters whose name i forgot. The food was good, although they got my order wrong the first time, but quickly brought my right order when I told them.

Horrible to say the least the atmosphere was not pleasant seems old an dated, the food was horrible ordered rib eye steak 56 bucks Plus but it was not even grilled seems to be pan cooked on the stove I coul have done a better job at home, they did not have fresh greens as advertised on the menu my wife ordered spaghetti with broccoli and was charged a whopping 36 bucks other order was sirloin steak 57 bucks but again not cooked properly and tasty
The are way over priced the only reason we went here was because we recd a $30 coupon from our stay at embassy suites
On top of that the waitress brought a malfunctioning pay pad the buttons kept sticking and could not see anything as it was not lit up
Please do not be fooled by tv commercials this seems to be the only outback Steakhouse in Canada but has failed to reach any standards

Pros-
The food is really good. Not just for Niagara Falls but also for a chain resturaunt. I saw other tables meals & everything being served looked great.
Service was excellent.
Cons-
The prices are very high. $40 for the chicken which was really good & was a big piece of chicken. I only got 1 side since there wasn't many options to choose from. I didn't leave hungry though.
$46 for the 11oz steak wouldn't be too outrageous but I didn't even realize until after we left that's what my husband had ordered. I thought he had ordered the 8oz since that is what he given.

Saw them refuse a clearly pregnant lady to use the washroom when they weren’t even busy. Who does that?

The service was good but the food is over priced we got one steak (was all right) and an appetiser it was really oily and one soft drink, it came to 100 dollars honestly you can eat at the keg and pay less

Thought I’d get myself a treat of a bloomin onion. Price was double that you’d pay in the US. Then, I see they’ve tacked on a “Niagara Falls Development Fee. ” Bartender says it goes to help development of Niagara Falls. I looked up the fee on the Inter and it’s a fake fee that the city tells the businesses that charge it they should use it to make things better in the area. So it appears that it goes straight into the company’s funds. I noticed they also charged HST on it too! So, all in, the appetizer cost $24.85! I told the bartender they shouldn’t be taxing it. She said she’d let the guy know in back.

The onion itself has a beefy smell to it. They were certainly smaller than those you’d get in the restaurant in the US. The breading, to me, tasted like KFC batter and the sauce tasted more like thousand island dressing.

Overall, a poor experience and I won’t be back.

Ordered calamari and got these overfried dry calamari, after spending $30. I tried eating them but they were dry and hard. Very disappointed makes sense now why it was nearly empty. Will not be going back!

Parking was a mess. Parked a ways away and busted my tire. Prices were crazy had a 12 ounce steak and fries, Pepsi, chicken Caesar salad shrimp appetizer and a ice tea $ 153.00 with a 12$ NFSD fee or something. Meal was tasty Clark the waiter was cool

The food is good as well as the service. However be prepared for the prices. It's really overpriced as it's a tourist attraction magnet. There's also a special tax that goes to the Niagara fund on top of the HST people. So be prepared when you get your receipt!

Awesome steaks and supper. Our server Jenna was friendly and attentive. The decor was a bit tired and the booth we were seated in was a tight fit.

We were staying close by and our hotel provided a coupon, so we gave it a try for dinner. Sunday evening, not busy, prompt service. Food was average (the ribs being my favourite). I still am in sticker shock at the price of two adult meals (which is normal for all restaurants in the area) to charge and absurd amount for food. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, despite the restaurant not being busy for the hour we were there. What made this exceptional, was our server Colleen, she was delightful! Definitely an asset to have her at your establishment.

Honestly i feel bad for the servers that have to serve this dog food.the prices are like the keg, but nowhere near the quality.it felt like we were being served food straight out of a freezer, into a microwave and onto our table.

Where do I start, the bathroom is gives a foul not freshly clean smell. The food is subpar, low quality and definitely NOT worth the price. My chicken was over seasoned with pepper and salt, tasteless and had traces of fish smell and pink inside. The mashed potatoes was course and clumpy. The steak was hard, burnt and could be mistaken for leather. We tried to eat the food we ordered a second time in the hotel and just couldn’t. An expensive regrettable experience.

Made me question my perception of reality.

Like a lot of people, I also had a coupon and I hadn't had a Bloomin Onion in a while so Outback it is and boy, was it an experience.

My girlfriend and I sat down for dinner and we ordered 1 water, 1 coke, a bloomin onion and waited. The menu for dinner was limited and when I asked why there weren't any burgers on their menu, the waitress stated that burgers are only served during lunch. After a quick glance at the menu, it was clear what they had done. They had intentionally taken off cheaper items to upsell the dinners.

Side note:
The bloomin onion was fine but the bread they served us was white. Now, it didn't taste bad or anything but every outback I have ever been to served that dark brown bread. This is what made me question my existence. No burgers, white bread. I looked up to look at my girlfriend and asked if it was real life. Luckily she said yes as she receded back into the moral plain.

Continued:
I got bloomin chicken (because diabetes sounded fun that night) and my gf got a half rack of ribs. My order was.okay. Nothing really special but nothing too crazy. My gf on the otherhand got two 1/4 racks of ribs on her plate, and both were dry. My thought was that these were obviously the ends and possibly just reheated from lunch. Keep in mind, these prices were $40 and $50 per plate.

We opted not to get dessert but even for just 1 drink, 1 app, and 2 entrees, we were charged roughly $130 AFTER the coupon. They added an additional tax specific for Niagara too. I didn't really ask or notice it in other places but I was not expecting to tack on an extra 18% to my bill.

Overall: Avoid this place at all costs, even with a coupon. If you do, you may be charged for breathing too heavily.

This Outback is located very close to hotels but parking was a hassle. Hotel parking lot they share was full so had to park offsite location approximately 5 minutes walk from the restaurant.
It is really dark at night.
I was seated right away and server was great.
Tried fish special and it was delicious, wish they served fries in a different basket, juices from the fish made fries soggy and unpleasant.
Coleslaw was good.
I also ordered Outback special and was cooked perfectly and delicious.
Price for 2 dish and a drink including a 30 CAD discount coupon was 95 CAD.
I thought it was a little too much but I guess the charge is due to location and I should have checked before arriving.

The prices do not match the service, food or interior. There was absolutely no parking. Had to pay to park 2 blocks away. It was dirty, the bathrooms were disgusting and the table wasn't wiped down. The waitress seemed to hate her job. Would never go back and would not recommend. Had the no rules pasta, was very bland and the cheesecake was not good. Could get better cheesecake from Walmart. Don't waste your money.

Understanding that this location is in a tourist district, I would have expected decent quality citing the restaurant competitiveness in the area. Steak was fatty, fries were stale and over salted. Server was helpful and knowledgeable, kitchen quality could use improvement.

Service was fine, but my and my wife’s steaks were over-cooked. My plate had some food residue left on it from a previous meals. The prices are comparable to a high-end restaurant and they charge a random “Niagara Falls Development Fee” that they don’t tell you about! They will remove the fee if you ask, but the whole experience was terrible and not worth the money.

Best wings I've ever had.cooked to perfection. Light breading, great flavor, very juicy! Serving staff was polite and very helpful. Definitely will be back to try more of the menu.

Haven't been to the Outback in probably close to two years. (Covid was main reason)
We found the prices very high. Food was ok and service was good.
Sadly we will be thinking twice about going back.

Staff was great but the place is horrendously overpriced for what it is. Like honestly even overpriced by Niagara Falls standards.there is a reason it was nearly empty at dinner time.it was over first night and figured "well its the area. Sadly that's not the case as all the other restos are pretty reasonable! Seriously I walk by the place and I feel pain without even turning my head. Run!

It is way too overpriced, even for Niagara Falls. We had to repeatedly ask for service while staff were chatting at the bar. They missed an item in our order (the Bloomin' onion appetizer) and then when reminded, brought it late into the meal. The kids mac & cheese was bland, and the kids cheeseburger was visibly dry.

The best thing about the meal was the dessert brownie.

Adding the Niagara Falls Development Fund tax plus tip makes it even tough to justify eating there. I paid more than I wanted to but I let it go because of Covid-19 and how tough it's been for the hospitality sector. But there are far better places in Niagara Falls to visit and this will be the last time I go to Outback.

Sooooo expensive! We went there because the hotel gave us a coupon but its like they know your coming with a coupon and jack up the prices. My hubbys meal was small for a half rack of ribs and lobster tail.my pasta had a good taste though. The fish was way too over cooked. Our server was great. Loved her! But wow the prices and the amount of food you get and even the quality for that cost is not worth it. Definitely learned our lesson! Oh! And we ordered the shrimp on the barbie for an appetizer and it was so small! For 18.99? No girl no.

Terrible service. Terrible food would not recommend anyone come to this place. Kids mac and cheese had no flavour and no taste, also we order wings and they took 1 hour and 20 minutes while other people came in after us 10 minutes roughly and got 4 steaks that took 30 minutes while we were waiting to get our wings. (Sounds like frozen stake too me). It is extremely overpriced and not worth it.mine as-well go to the keg.

Went to this location prices are very high compared to much better food at other places in town. Waitress was nice and it was not busy at all but she took order long wait food came small portions for a 41.99 plate ×4. Did not check on us only twice when we called her over. Went to use bathrooms and ladies was dirty and no stall was working. Told another waitress she said yes been broken for 1 day now. No refills were even offered so we shared our drinks. Worst service and food.if you spend over $226.00 you think you could at least use the bathroom and get a refill of drinks and enjoy the food.

Great spot and incredible food. Steak portions were generous and meals were well plated. We enjoyed their steak and lobster. Everything was cooked to perfection. A bit pricy but portions justify the prices. Two people can dine on one steak meal easily. Our waitress Tracy was so welcoming and explained the menu and great options. She went out of her way to give us the best service. Her personality was heartwarming and we enjoyed this restaurant because of her ease of service. When in Niagra we will dine here again.

My family and I love The Outback! A recent trip enabled us to visit this location and we had a great time! Our server was excellent - his attention to detail was wonderful and he was really personable and fun to chat with. The food was AWESOME! We had the Aussie Cheese
fries, steak, baked potato, caesar salad and French onion soup - so good!? Warning: HUGE portions! We were absolutely stuffed when we left! The only drawback was that this particular location is in desperate need of a physical upgrade. When you enter, the couch in the waiting area is badly worn, the booth seat we used was broken and overall, there's just a shabby edge to everything. I hope it gets a make over soon so that the ambiance and physical details match the high level of service and food. Thanks Outback Niagara Falls! We had a great time!

Food was good, presentation was poor, customer service was okay. The fries was stingy for $49. I bought the ribs, the ribs taste good. But honwstly as a blqck family we were very disappont because we expected much better experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. DO NOT COME HERE.

This was the very first stop we made after our 3 hour drive to the falls. We were starving, had never been to one and it was right beside our hotel. It was absolutely amazing!
We both had the steak and lobster tail. Both steaks were cooked to perfection of how we had requested them and the lobster was outstanding. Even the broccoli was beyond delicious!
The service was amazing, and my long island iced was the best I've had in years and came in an awesome curved glass I would love to know where to get from.
Will deifnately be back on my next visit to Niagra.

Honestly the most expensive restaurant here. Even higher that the keg. Chicken fettuccine 37$. Ridiculous! Many other restaurants with way better prices!

I had waited too long to try the actual Bloomin onion. But now when I had, I feel that it was not worth the wait or maybe I was at a wrong outlet.

The Bloomin onion was wayyyy too salty. Also, oil wasn't drained off properly and hence it was very soggy from the bottom. The only reason this review gets 2 stars and not 1 is because they didn't charge us for 1 Bloomin onion that was barely eaten and they gave us an option to choose a different appetizer for the other one that was partially consumed.

P.s. - Their chef needs to calm down and be somewhat polite with customers. He told us that there's nothing he can do about it and all they do is fry the onion. The tone matters, sir.
