We’ve been going here for quite a few years now. The coffee is exquisite and the space bright and comfortable. The biscuits and buns are also delicious.
Had a great experience at this coffee shop. Got an iced coffee, and it was delish! The staff member was super knowledgeable and friendly, and they had a good selection of roasted beans as well. Cute back patio and open air seating in the front as well.
I went all the way to pick up my week's quantity of roasted beans. Tough they had all the relevant varieties and recent roast dates, the minimum quantity required to be bought was only 340 gms.
I expected such roasteries to sell smaller packages, like St. Lawrence's Everyday Gourmet coffee roaster kind of contained roasteries do.
Good cappuccino. The first time we went the Americano wasn’t to our taste, just didn’t like the flavour. On our second visit the Americano was a nice experience. They insist on putting in the sugar themselves, don’t have stir sticks and don’t do a very good job of dissolving the sugar into the coffee, so takeout coffee isn’t something we enjoy from here. If you stay to drink your coffee, you get a spoon and can stir the coffee yourself. Enjoyed the ginger molasses cookie. The carrot and pecan muffin was a bit dry. The almond croissant was nice, but a bit closer to the texture of a Danish. There’s some seating indoors, but it can be quite warm. A nice bench and a couple of comfortable chairs outside.
Small place serving good, roasted on-site coffees, pastries, and an intriguing selection of cheeses. Brightly lit and comfortable with some outdoor bench seating. Service was excellent!
Stumbled upon this Gem today! Hands down the best coffee so far in Toronto. I had medium roast regular brew and this coffee beats any global brand by a mile! You walk inside the store and good vibes are all around you.
I have tried a ton of local coffee roasters and this one is the best of them all! Their beans are always incredibly fresh and they have a great rotation of single origin beans at good prices. Staff is friendly and they make a mean cappuccino.
Fantastic coffee and super nice staff. I've began buying my coffee beans there and it comes with a free coffee when purchased. They have a good selection of coffee and the staff seem knowledgeable. I Definitely recommend them. Haven't tried their treats.
The best part of working from home the past two years is that I start most mornings picking up my coffee at Outpost. The coffee is delicious, the staff is warm and friendly and efficient, and they are always playing great music. Already dreaming of summer when the back patio re-opens.
Excellent coffee and staff. I found this little gem a couple years ago and it’s my Go To coffee staple when I am in the area. Cute little patio out back for days you want to relax and unwind with a quality java.
Great lattes. Cute spot. Only thing was there were wasps on the pasties/bakery items which turned me off from getting them. Will come back in the winter to try their pastries!
I make 1.5hrs round trip drive to this place every two weeks to buy my coffee. For over a year I’ve been searching for good beans all the way from Oakville to downtown Toronto and tried every roasters along the way and Lefthook is it! Love this place so much I’d much rather drive here in person rather than order online. Staffs are friendly and espresso tonic really hits the spot. And when you see a shop pulling shots with van der westen you know they are serious about their coffee.
Adam, the owner, is really helpful, patient and knowledgeable. In a few minutes he was able to help an espresso rookie to gain some basic get strong knowledge on espresso beans. I recently purchased a fully refurbished Saecco Odeo Go machine from a LA Strada Fine Espresso Machines (horrible experience with the owner, check my review for more details), so I am happy to have found another place where I can purchase the espresso beans and gain more knowledge to serve my new found love for espresso. Thank you Adam, I will definitely be back.
Coffee was good. Scone was over baked. The server didn't seem to care that people were lined up and kept conversations going past the time it took to serve someone.
I really liked the atmosphere. I personally don't drink coffee but my friend had nothing bad to say. What I did have was a donut and it was pretty amazing lol.
Amazing coffee both brewed and roasted to purchase, one of the better I've explored around the city. A neat little cafe, tasty scones. A friendly girl barista helped me the best she could couple days ago with any question I had, great service although I can't say the same about the owners customer service/attitude. Overall 9/10.
Had a tasty espresso pulled by baristas who care enough to make great coffee. Nice cozy ambiance and next level service from the people behind the counter. Definitely recommend!
Had a difficult time to find which coffee shop to go before go to art museum near. And after googling eventually chose this one, had a go and no regrets as a latte & cappuccino lover! Oh, enjoyed flavorful latte! Even though it was crazy busy Saturday afternoon, most of staffs there didn't lose there smile!:) Keep it up guys!
I have a friend who comes here every single Sunday and she raves about this place. One day I came with her to try their baked goods (not a coffee drinker) and they were really good! Definitely recommend their croissants! Friendly service and a cozy spot near Dundas West Station!
They use a Kees van der Westen espresso machine, and have a small in-house roaster. Baked treats are top quality! Have had multiple friendly service experiences with different staff including the owner. Nice tea selection too. Small cafe with some shared table space, a perfect spot for coffee aficionado in the Dundas West area. Steps from the UP, TTC, top of roncesvalles.
Fantastic (and skilled) staff, great ambience and most importantly the best coffee in Toronto. And that's not an exaggeration. If you want a place to go that will always leave you feeling satisfied then you gotta check out Outpost Coffee. Troy, Alana and Adam and the gang always do their best to make every visit a great experience. The only downside is once you try the coffee you won't want anything else. A problem I've had since the day they opened! It's worth the trip folks, so go check them out.
Been here thrice. Really expensive for average coffee. Just your average hipster place. Servers can't properly take your order, I got soy milk in my coffee twice, after requesting regular milk when ordering.
And the raw milk offered is not truly unpasteurized milk, because it's illegal to sell raw milk.
What an cute little place! Flat white was delicious and great oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. A huge bonus meeting Adam and Tiff, really awesome people! Thank you!
For anything else go grab some coffee at this outpost cause it's that good. Also the staff are friendly, personable and just good people. Who doesnt like good people? I recommend the Americano. Support local, you wont regret!
Beautiful decor, great seating area. Only con is that they don't keep their cream and milk outside and you have to ark their barista if you need to add cream into your coffee.
I'm very picky about my coffee since I'm a roaster myself and I've been hard pressed to find the few shops that have baristas that know what they're doing, and have a roast that is under a week old.
This place delivered, on top of which the person who did my pourover did a splendid job or balancing the bitterness and acidity. It was also a great place to sit and work since it's small and cozy, and has great natural light coming in.
This is my new go to shop in the West end other than Mofer Coffee.
I had kids and order one hot chocolate for them. And they asked me amke two cups. I was so happy to hear that. And also they made it not too hot for kids. It was first time serves like this since I moved Toronto. Thank you so much. I will comme back for sure! This is my one of favorite cafe in Toronto!
