Worst salon for customer service. Waited for more than 10 minutes and no one even bothered to ask why I was there or what service was needed. Never going back there

I have held this in for almost 10 MONTHS now. I had an appointment with Orvik on September 6,2022. I walked in with hair that ran past my shoulders. He said, "We will not take the length" He cut off my hair and my it ended up being up to my ears. That was not all. The left side was cut shorter than the right side. He gave me "Layers" on the back of my head. His idea of "Layers" meant he chopped off half my hair. The proper method of cutting curly hair is when it is dry. He said he cuts hair only when it is wet. My boyfriend saw my hair cut and the first thing he said was, "He ruined your signature look". I did NOT go into that salon wishing to look like someone else, I wanted to look more like my authentic self. I put off writing this review for 10 months because.honestly I am still in shock that someone could do this. I DO NOT THINK THIS MAN IS A LICENSED HAIR DRESSER. HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO CUT HAIR, DEFINITELY NOT CURLY HAIR. I also believe (like someone else wrote) that all these 5 star reviews are from his friends/family/people he has paid! After 10 months of feeling so horrible, I went to a lovely salon down the street from this terrible man's place: HAIR BY REEMA. I had a consultation with one of the hair stylists and she could NOT believe what was done to my hair - even 10 months later she saw how RIDICULOUS my hair looks. Growing it out has been even worse since he did such a TERRIBLE job of messing up my hair now it has grown in all kinds of weird ways. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU GO NEAR THIS MAN. I think he is a SCAM ARTIST, NOT A HAIR STYLIST.

Ovik's Salon & Spa offers a very inviting atmosphere and kind staff. Ovik is really helpful and knowledge. Ovik's is the place to go if you want a professional, elegant, and reasonably priced haircut and experience.

Ovik is amazing! That is all I can say after I saw my daughter’s haircut. She has curly hair and I have never been able to find a hairstylist, who knew how to cut it properly and make the curls look bouncy and beautiful.

I found Ovik’s Salon online, searching reviews of stylists who know how to cut curly hair. Most of this reviews kept saying what a wonderful job he did so I decided to give it a try.

I just came from the haircut, and I am so amazed at the creative ability that Ovik has, so I decided to place a review right away.

I can honestly say he knows what he’s doing in his line of work, and not only that, he’s such a nice kind person, easy to talk to and very accommodating.

I was in a time crunch and needed services right away. My hair was dry and damaged from 8 years of bleaching. I called Ovik and his vibes right off the bat were amazing. Ovik asked deep questions over the phone, explaining his process, immediately indicating his passion for his work. Once at his studio, he got into the grit of my hair history and understood why I came to see him before he even began touching my hair. He is a great conversation and an overall wholesome person. My curls look healthy and bouncy and the colour suits my hair perfectly. Thanks Ovik, can’t wait to see you in a few months.

Ovik is just the best. He knows hair and how to cut it based on its natural growth and how you would like to see it grow out. He has an indepth consultancy prior to starting on the cut. He takes his time and makes sure you are extremely satisfied. He is awesome with curly hair. His salon is such a peaceful unassuming place.

My 3rd visit to Ovik’s and he’s still the best! He truly cares about meeting your wants and needs. Once you get to know him, you’ll know he’s really genuine and is a great listener. He has done wonders on my hair from cut to color. It is growing out really well just like he said!

Horrible experience, He is very unprofessional, check the time he will show up for your appointment always late, Professionals respect the client's time, be aware if he has a hairdresser diploma or any education, the reviews here maybe from his close family do your research before making an appointment with him.

Ovik is the only hair stylist that can give me a nice hair cut for my wavy, curly fine hair. If I can give a 10 stars I would!

Been searching for a hair salon that specializes in cutting curly hair and I no longer have to look further. Oviks is a very professional accommodating hair salon who made us feel very welcoming and worked with us to cut and style my 5 year old nieces hair. He is very kind, patient, professional, and very good at his work. We really appreciate the great work he has done and will be recommending his salon to anyone in search for a great curly cut! Really enjoyed my curly haircut with Ovik. He is kind and genuinely passionate about what he does. The results were a cut with lots of fun layers, bouncy curls and volume.

For all the curly haired people, just stop searching. This place will bring your curls to a level of healthiness and bounce you never had! It’s clear Ovik knew what he was doing and it showed when I saw the final product. I wanted to restart my curl journey and that’s exactly what happened, adding on with new bangs and layers I never knew I needed! Great great experience with ovik. He knows pretty well what he is doing. I went for a hair cut and let me tell all the curly hair people out there. HE GOT MAGIC IN HIS HANDS. I will be a regular customer here for sure.won't going anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Ovik's place is awesome, multiple services are available for hair dressing, massages, mani, pedi, etc. But the main attraction of this Salon is the attention provided by the hair dressers. Everything is according to your comfort and desire, Ovik really knows how to cut curly and wavy hair. After struggling for almost a year, I recovered my natural curls after visiting the place. The website doesn't work for appointments but you can reach out via email or phone and they will be available to book you asap. ‍️
