I had purchased the unit and had a 5th wheel hitch installed by Owasco. This is my first 5th wheel so I know very little about requirements. The first camp out We went too, had a steep grade. The trailer hit my box rails on my truck. At this camp I spoke with other 5th wheel owners and we discovered that my hitch was too low in my truck, allowing only 3.5" clear to the recommended 6".

I was able to adjust hitch before leaving camp and had no issues with it at corrected height. This caused damage to the trailer and truck. Owasco repaired the trailer damage (no cost to me) but I needed to repair my truck. So due to this being late in season, I had to scrambled and booked storage at Owasco's off site facility. I also ordered A cover as I don't like the thought of leaving it uncovered all winter. As it turned out, they keep my unit all winter sitting outside with no work being done and uncovered. The work was only done in in the spring March or April. I am pleased with the work and the warranty issues that where required, the problem I have is they lead me to believe that I would be getting my unit returned in a timely fashion and I would be able to store it properly at Owasco's off site facility. As it turns out I had to purchase storage at their facility which never got used ($1200.00 + dollars), and my unit sat all winter uncovered. When I spoke to Owasco regarding this I was told that they would not pro rate this. I have been arguing this point until this Fall with them only saying that they will give me $200.00 in store credit. I go to use my in store credit only to find out it does not exsist. No one has replied or returned any calls in regard to this. So my position with regards to Owasco as a representive of the Jayco Brand (this is my 2 Jayco), is that the front line workers ie; service advisers, parts personal, and my sales rep, who actually left Owasco shortly after, stating that her values did not align with management. She was very customer orientated and jumped through hoops to get things done. These workers are very good and knowledgeable. It is the upper management that takes a, too bad for you approach. If there was a Jayco Dealer closer to me I definitely would not go to Owasco. The calls should have been returned from Amy V.the General Manager & Igor R.the Service Manager who in my opinion are the most arrogant agents I have ever dealt with when it comes to RV purchase/service. I have been enjoy this past time for over 50 years and Owasco management is the worst. Needless to say I love the 5th wheel, and Owasco's front line personal, but despise the arrogance of the upper management. I would recommend Jayco's product line but I will advise against purchasing from Oswaco.

Amazing experience, Zoe has to be the best sales person I have ever dealt with. Polite, understanding, prompt with info an very helpful with every little dinky question I had.

I'm here only to add to my original review below; I work for a company that runs a number of Winnies. We have required parts service on a number of occasions, I originally searched long and hard for a service center that could help when we were in need - I spoke to many, None of which could provide a solution then and there, and then I found Sandi and her mates at Owasco and it just got done. Recently, again, we have had to make use of Owasco's superior Customer Service, and again, plain and simple, this is the place to go. What a relief.

During a snow storm last winter, driving a commercial Winnebago back from a job on a narrow 2-lane back road, attempted to avoid a truck headed the opposite way and clearly driving on almost the middle of the road almost hit me, sheared my driver's side mirror off. This vehicle was an early year model and finding parts proved to be more than a little difficult. Sandi in the parts department, however, did her thing and saved the day, finding what was probably the only available part in the world, and had it delivered in record time. No doubt she'll be running the place one day.

We purchased our trailer with Mike Johnson a year ago and he was very pleasant to deal with.
Since then we have dealt with Sandy in parts.
We loved dealing with Sandy. Always pleasant, always happy to serve. Never regret calling her or stopping to see her. She goes out of her way to serve and please. She could not make us feel more welcome to be there to ask for advice.

After purchasing our first RV from Owasco in Bowmanville of course we had questions. Sandy and her staff in the parts department could not have been more helpful. They were able to point us in the right direction for so many products and services. I would not hesitate to recommend Owasco to all my friends.

2022- We recently purchased a new travel trailer and we had a wonderful experience with Jason. He was fantastic to deal with, from the moment we walked into the store, throughout the whole purchase and to the time we drove our trailer home. Thank you Jason!

2023 - One year later - I change my review to 1 star but I would give minus 10 stars if I could. This company is helpful until they get your money then they want nothing to do with you. They are immoral and unethical.

I had my trailer in with their service department to deal with some electrical issues and they couldn’t find the problems but sent me an invoice for $40 for fault finding… we also provided video and photographic proof. The next day we go to collect the trailer and overnight they’ve changed the invoice to $323.07 but didn’t tell me or send the invoice to me. We were left in a situation where we didn’t know whether to leave the trailer and challenge the invoice or take the trailer, as we had a trip planned, and take the advice of the service assistant Stephanie who said to put in a complaint and try to recover the money. Stupidly, we did the latter.

Stephanie and she said she understood my complaint and said the company was doing the wrong thing and she agreed with me asking for a refund of the additional invoice added in secret. She also admitted in an email that it was a “system error”.

10 days later after 3 unanswered emails Stephanie replies saying “upper management will not refund the invoice” and said this time it was a “technical error”.

I was more than happy to pay for fault finding but after they send an invoice they think it’s completely acceptable to increase the invoice by hundreds of dollars without ever telling the customer. It’s unethical and they just don’t care.

We ended up canceling our trip with the trailer as we had no confidence in our trailer.

Don’t ever buy from this dealership! We wish we took the advice from all our friends who own RV’s to do the same.

Don’t ever go here, they don’t take care of their customers.

I've bought 2 trailers from Owasco, I had a few warranty issues with my first trailer and every issue was dealt with promptly. I purchased my second unit based on the warranty service I got on the first, to be honest I was impressed. I just read a few bad reviews with people just slamming these guys, I disagree!

Went in thinking tent trailer but upgraded to a hybrid. Unfortunately, within 1 year, the fridge stopped working and needed to be replaced, the knobs broke right off the stove on the first trip, the radio needed replacement under warranty within a year and the dealership was very disappointing to work with in resolving the issue. Would NOT buy from Owasco again and have said as much to other campers many times.

Outstanding service!
My friend and I were on a camping trip in Ontario.
His new RV had a serious problem with his propane tank.
We stop at Owasco for help.
These guys were fantastic. We were not clients, they didn’t even carry my friend’s RV brand.
Still they fixed the problem in just a few hours. All their personnel were very polite and attentive.
Really a first-class team.
I strongly recommend anybody in the Bowmanville area, even up to Oshawa I would say, to stop by if they are looking for a RV or travel trailer.

Thank you Owasco team, you made our day (week). 2 thumps up.

Talk about QUALITY service! The Sales Centre Team - fun, kind, helpful, patient and friendly yet professional. Most definitely we have no hesitation doing business with them. Highly recommended.

Service is absolute trash. Learn how to use a funnel and a phone. I want my RV and a refund. Find new employees or close your business. Don’t shop or get service here.

We had a horrible experience with the service at owasco rv.
Booked an appointment for service in April 15th and I was clear that I would need the trailer for may 15th. But the trailer wasn't repaired. We ask if they would ship us the parts so we could have it fix under our own expense but they have refused.
It has taken they over a month to return my email and still no solution has been offered.
So disappointing I sure wish I had purchased my Jayco from another dealership.
The worst customer service experience I've ever experienced.

Worst experience ever. No communication between management to regular staff. Went there to drop off my table for my trailer and it took 2 months to have it arrived then took it home when i opened it theres missing part advised me to drop it back then they told me i can pick it up monday soo i already told them when i dropped it off that i will pick it up on tuesday at 630pm service department told me they will leave it in the reception area and i can pick it up from there. Arrived asked the reception nothing was left for me and then i asked for the manager and the manager was asking me if i got a phone call and ive been explaining to her what agreement i did with service department as they know i am booked for camping. And she keeps on telling me wait for a phone call the next day. And ive been telling her that i dont have any free day to pick it up because i have a camping to go to and still insist that wait for the phone call tomorrow. Its too frustating.

We had our trailer keys stolen from our car. Talked to Brock in parts department and he was able to get us a new set with 24 hrs. Our weekend at the trailer was saved thanks to this fantastic employee. Forever grateful Brock.
