Volkswagen Canada Head office has a huge recall on the suspension spring coils get break and its can cause an accident when you are driving at higher speeds … there is a huge issue will all their spring could with all males but they are trying to keep down to a certain model.this is sad as with 2018 car the spring could should not break

Terrible service.

I went to Owasco in August for a check engine light. They performed a diagnostic, said they tested it and it was ok. A couple days later the light came on again. I brought it back they said said it needed a part. This was an expensive repair. I brought it in for the repair, the service advisor (Rebecca) texted back saying they didn't have the gasket to complete the repair and will have to keep it overnight. After the repair, I picked up the car. I said to the service advisor that cashed me out (Brett) that I hope I'm am not back here in a couple days with the engine light on

To which he replied that the invoice is a guarantee of the work.

A couple days later the check engine light comes on again. After a diagnostic, they say it needs another part. I state that they didn't fix the car correctly and misdiagnosed the problem to begin with, to which the service advisor said to talk to the manager Greg Baxter. She said that he was in a meeting and would call me the next day. This call never happened, I phoned back, left a message and no one will return phone calls.

Clearly the car left the dealership without them doing the proper repair, multiple times. It appears that the best they can do is throw parts at it, at the customers expense.

My oil change was completed quickly last week, and the car was clean when I got it back.

I had a ding in my door fixed too, which took 2.5 days, and thank heavens I had the protection package because it cost me only $250 out-of-pocket. The plan covered about $1,200. I can't believe how much body work costs these days! The door looks like new, and they cleaned up the car very well afterwards.

I would have given zero if it was available. I was given 18th Nov 2021,8.00am time to fix engine light problem on my diesel VW sport wagon. For 2 days (18th, 19th) vehicle was in their premises and had no time to look into it. Was advised by Rebecca either to leave the vehicle for the weekend so that the issue will be fixed in earliest chance next week. Or wait till a loaner vehicle is arranged. My upmost dissappoint is why my vehicle couldn't be repaired/touched in two days, then why an appointment was scheduled. I think OWASCO has to look into it.

Recently purchased a 2018 atlas. Our sales rep Raf was such a pleasure to deal with. Very helpful, respectful. Would absolutely recommend him as a sales rep

fast forward 5 mos. Still happy with the experience with Raf; however have had nothing but problems with the vehicle starting at 3 months post purchase.here is our review.

We purchased an Atlas from the preowned section of dealership. Within 3 months the door hinge on the drivers side broke; the bolt sheared in half it was completely corroded. We paid for this to be fixed, no one at the dealership would return our call and when my husband finally walked over to the preowned manager he was rude and basically told us "sorry about your luck" this is the risk you take buying used.

It is not a reasonable expectation that a door hinge breaks on a 3 yr old car let alone any car. We paid to repair this. VW corporate was no help either insisting we did not purchase extended warranty therefore not their problem

If you have children or value anyone's SAFETY this is a major concern.

Secondly we have had engine problems with this vehicle and for the last month and a half the vehicle has been at the dealership more than in our driveway. We left several messages for the general manager or owner of owasco to please give us a call. To this day no one has called. The only person who has spoken to us is Dan the manager at service. Currently our engine light has come back on again and we continue to have a start/stop error therefore the vehicle needs to go back in for the 5th time. We are not sure they know what the problem is, just keep fixing stuff and the original problem persists.
VW corporate has been absolutely no help and very difficult to speak to anyone with any authority there.

Bottom line.the 122 point inspection that is supposedly done on certified preowned cars may or may not have been done. Definitely the door issue should have been caught if it had. If you're buying a used car budget for another $4000 in extended warranty because they do not honour nor are they accountable for their product. FYI once you drive off the lot you can no longer purchase ext warranty. We believe at this point this vehicle had issues prior to us buying it and the dealer should have some responsibility to do their due diligence and not offload bad products onto other customers

We would not recommend this dealership/or vw products to anyone. We paid a lot of money for this vehicle and have only owned it 5 months. We are not confident in the vehicle and very disappointed in both customer service and integrity of the dealership. To be honest if I could I would give 0 stars.

This is my second time going to Owasco in the last 3 years, the first time I went to this dealership I had a mediocre experience, a few bumps with the process of getting my vehicle. But the second time, Phil Nedham was my sales representative and he was just amazing. He listened to what I wanted and got me exactly that. He was very efficient and a kind person to deal with. I will definitely be coming back here and to Phil for any questions or concerns. 5 star experience!

I am posting to help the management and owners at OWASCO to improve their customer service experience for their Service Department. While my purchase experience was top notch, the same cannot be said about the Service Department at Oswaco. I've owned several VW's and had them dealer serviced. One of the reasons I decided to purchase my Tiguan was because of the professional service and customer service experience. It is difficult to believe that this is a VW dealership, because their practices at OWASCO doesn't resemble the level of service I have come to expect from a VW dealership. A simple snow tires installation and key fob programming with a 9 am appointment, took over 3.5 hours with numerous mishaps along they way. I had only received one key fob on delivery of my vehicle because the second fob was defective. Confirming my appointment earlier in the week to insure the key fob was ordered and that the snow tires and factory rims had arrived, I was advised that only the key fob programming would occur because the tires and rims were backordered. Arriving at the dealership, I was advised that the tires and rims had arrived. Great! Tires and installation were to be at no charge because it was part of my deal on the vehicle purchase with the salesperson, but the service department had no record of this deal for the tire install, so were charging for this. An hour later a service advisor tells me that the key fob was not ordered because they had no authorization. I contacted my salesperson and they assured me the key fob was ordered and they would talk with service. The key fob was then located. Another hour passes and I go to look thru the service bay window to see if I could see my Tiguan, and I see that the snow tires were installed on steel rims, clearly not the alloy rims I had agreed to. I mentioned this to the service advisor and they said they would look into it. Another 45 minutes pass and I can see the snow tires on alloy rims are installed and that it appears the programming for the fob is happening. The end of my visit appears near! But wait, about another 15 minutes or so passes and the service advisor comes to give me the completed work order copy and my key fobs. My vehicle is parked out front. I approach and notice my summer 20inch tires are not bagged and sitting on the back seat, albeit on plastic, but the tread surface is pressed up on the door and white stitching, with parts of the tire sidewall leaning on the leather seats! The tires were making it impossible to close the back door again. I removed the tires from the back seat so not to further soil the rears seat area and doors. The cargo tonneau cover was laying on the back seat floor and not stored under the rear hatch floor lid, where it is meant to be stored. Tires in the hatch are also not bagged. There's more. I go into talk with the service advisor and ask why the tires were not in bags. He tells me he will take care of it and retrieves green garbage bags to try and rectify the issue. Presumably the green garbage bags would be used to put against surfaces the rubber is touching on the car interior. Again, not an acceptable solution. Apparently they didn't have any bags to fit my factory installed tires. I asked if he might consider calling the sister Audi dealership next door to see if they might have bags for 20" tires. Behold, they did! He retrieves the bags. I lowered the second row seat backs (you night think that the service people would think of this little trick) to make the area big enough to store the tires. Meanwhile my pants and hands both need washing because of course the tires are not clean. I then go speak with the Service Manager, Dan and he doesn't seem particularly surprised by the actions of his service personnel but agrees their actions were sub-standard. Ultimately, I am still a VW fan and happy that I have professional dealers where live.

Ben did an amazing job detailing my car! When I got it back it looked brand new. I have 2 dogs at home and I junk up my car. I dont think its ever looked this good. Thanks Ben!

We bought VW Tiguan, and the reason for our 1 star was the unethical business process.
Right before the day of our vehicle pick up they mentioned that the infotainment system is not working due to a call back.
Promised to have it back in 2 weeks, now it is almost 2 months no update and their response is very bad. No return of our call and very ineffective answer.
These days infotainment is a core aspect of any vehicle, we cannot play music, use any safety features and the vehicle is sitting idle.
I will avoid this place at any cost if you are looking for a new or used vehicle.

Dealing with Lima Mendez was an absolute pleasure! My wife and I were in the market for a SUV and we had planned out a day of test driving a bunch of vehicles that fit our criteria. Our last pit stop was at Owasco and honestly, VW was not at the top of our list, at least until we met Limas. We walked in planning to test drive only the Taos and Cross Sport but after Limas got to know our needs, he suggested looking at the Tiguan. Long story short, we loved it right away and ended up purchasing a vehicle that we weren’t considering in the first place. Our experience with Limas was personable, relaxed, supportive and understanding. We got a great deal on the vehicle, but more importantly to us, we received a level of service way beyond our expectations. On the day of pickup, he gave us a rundown on all the little tech features and showing how to navigate everything. The cherry on top was our dance party we had in our new car. Limas is a legend!

Terrible customer service with very poor communication and no sense of customer care or urgency. I bought my VW from this dealership and the initial experience was great. The sales man went above and beyond to look after us until the deal was done then it went completely down hill. Over all this dealership had provided me with such a frustrating experience and I would never recommend someone to buy or service their car there. It is such a hassle and waste of time.

My new car came with a chip in the drivers side panel. I had an appt for my car to get fixed and even confirmed I could leave it after 5pm and when I got there, they were closed with no one around. I went back again and got a rental, they had my car for 3 days and didn't even look at it, it just sat in the parking lot. When I went to pick up my car, the body shop had the keys and was closed so I had to come back AGAIN to pick it up. I filled out the survey saying I was disappointed with my experience and their service. A month later, they arranged for someone to come pick my car up to get it fixed. I stayed home from work and no one came on the arranged day or time. I reached out and someone came the next morning (with no warning, thank god I was actually home at the time). They were supposed to fix my car and drop it off the next day. No one came to drop my car back off and the dealership had it for 6 days (including the weekend). Once again I had to call and email to get my car back.

Communication within this service department must be awful. Our appointments get rescheduled more often than not, and we've been out and out forgotten on a number of occasions ("oh, so and so is on vacation. Was on lunch. Isn't in today", how are these reasons that no one else knows about my confirmed appointment?). Promises to do better are not worth the virtual ink they are typed in, and phone calls are rarely returned within a professional timeframe, sometimes if at all. We've stuck around for the valet service, but have decided we're over it.

I just bought my 21 Golf GTI from Candice at OWASCO. Couldn't be happier with the car. I had to drop something off at the dealership and asked if they could buff a scratch out and.they put the car through the car wash too. Small thing but made me really happy as it was already soooooo dirty from all the bugs. I just brought home a 2021 Atlas Cross-Sport and I had the BEST experience working with Lisa Allamshaw! To my amazing homies at Owasco Volkswagen - I wish I could give you a million stars! Your dealership has done nothing but given my vehicle the proper love and attention, so thank you! I bought my '13 GTI here and have been dealing with Owasco for almost 5 years now. I live in Pickering and make the travel to Owasco due to the outstanding work and service they provide. I've boycotted Pickering Volkswagen after they made a massive error to my engine on my old '09 GLI and took zero liability. Will never take any of my vehicles there, ever again.
Shout out to Rebecca Irvine in service, she's amazing and knows exactly what she's doing! Really, the entire service department are angels. Trust their collision center as well to make sure any and all damages are repaired to perfect condition. Had an incident a couple years ago where a branch took out my front bumper during a windstorm, and they did a fantastic job at repainting it.

For anyone else reading through the reviews, just know that everywhere you go there's gonna be hiccups along the way - but it's all in how mishaps are handled. I myself dealt with a brief issue with Owasco when purchasing my GTI. However, they throughouly acknowledged and LISTENED to what I had to say, and corrected/made up for any errors in a quick manner. Let's just say, how they handled their mistake turned into me purchasing the vehicle. This dealership isn't a 'stealership' - be nice to them, they'll be nice to you. Make lasting relationships with these people and they'll have your back!

What an absolute awful experience.

I found a car I wanted on AutoTrader, looked up the dealership's hours and I requested to do a test drive an hour before close. I got paired with a salesperson Limas who clearly does not work the hours I requested. I had to tell him FOUR times I could only be there at a certain time.

After I drove over 80KM (one-way) to get to the dealership I waited to be helped and was not greeted by anyone for ~5 minutes. There were 2 associates in their offices who made eye contact with me but continued having their own conversation and completly ignored me.

I was finally helped and when I asked to see the car indoors with light to check the condition of the car, he proposed that I drive to a nearby Tim Hortons and apparently it should be well lit enough in the parking lot that I could see everything?

He then offered to bring the car around for the test drive and I watched him get into the wrong car. When I told him that it was the wrong car he was completely dumbfounded and said "oh we already sold that car". We exchanged e-mails that day and at any point he could have let me know it was sold.

I've never been to such a poorly run dealership in my life. What a complete waste of my time.

I didn’t want to turn to social media about my experience with Owasco but they have left me no choice now. I purchased a brand new 2019 Jetta in May 2019. Within 5 days of owning the car I noticed there was an issue. It’s been 6 months of unanswered phone calls and multiple visits to the dealership. Owasco has done absolutely nothing to make the situation right.

They painted my car hood and grill, but they used poor paint quality. The hood has not re-assembled properly. I called you many times but no answered I have all documents including emails from Liza Hoogsteen so check your record properly.

Lisa was great to work with- she was friendly, communicated everything easily with us, all our paperwork was prepared. We’ve had poor experiences in the past working with VW but Lisa was wonderful. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a vehicle.excellent customer service

Alexis made the whole process of selling my used car easy and uncomplicated. I had expected some issues because it was not a trade-in, but there were no problems. Alexis was friendly, super fast, and gave me a fair deal.

Andrew McQuaid and Bob Verwey are fantastic to work with. Andrew was the point person and was always available to chat, even outside of his work hours. Really happy with our car and the awesome deal they were able to offer us. Highly recommend!
