Very specious for a KOA. Very welcoming and accommodating. The sites are spotless: no sign of thrash (the classic in the fire ring). Very quiet at night. Felt very safe.

We enjoyed our stay here. The pond was stocked with rainbow trout. You can buy fish food for a quarter and the kids had fun watching them feed. The firewood was $16 for a tiny bag. That was disappointing. The pool was clean and there were chairs and a couple picnic tables to sit at. Bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. Will definitely come back.

We camped at KOA Owen Sound for the August long weekend. It was myself and my boyfriend. We had a tent site, with no hook ups. We did enjoy the site as it was nestled in the treed area and our site was complete shade. The downfall was that all the sites were so close that our tent was back to back with 2 other tents. We could hear every conversation and every noise from our neighbors. For the most part, the people camping around us were fine but we did find the mornings exceptionally challenging with kids near by screaming and crying at 6: 30am with the parents not doing anything to try and quiet them as other campers were still in tents sleeping. This was not the fault of the campground by any means, but I wanted to include in my review for couples who are trying to camo here that you may not find the peaceful camping experience you might be looking for.

As for the campground, it was very well kept. Kudos to the owners who work so hard to keep this campground in excellent condition.
The bathrooms were clean 24/7. I never experienced a dirty bathroom the whole weekend I was there and the campground was full. I couldn't stop commenting on how clean the bathrooms were to everyone who asked about our trip.
We did not use the pool, only because we went to Sauble Beach the one day and came back burnt so we had no interest in being in the sun.lol
We did buy 3 bags of firewood which is why they got the 4 stars instead of 5. The bags had 7-9 pieces and were $12.50 +tax. For 3 bags of fire wood it cost us $45.00.
You can find local people selling firewood outside of the campground if you are like me and like to have a fire going whenever I am at the campsite. Needless to say, it became an expensive weekend in firewood.
Overall, we had a great time at this campground, we did scope out a couple sites we would want in the future when we return and will pay the $20 fee to ensure we have that site where it's a little more secluded.
Otherwise, well done to the owners, you guys are doing amazing!

Mistakenly turned in to this establishment. Went to turn around and the owner (I’m assuming) happened to be behind us as we entered, in his vehicle. As we went to turn around he stopped behind our vehicle got out and basically interrogated us, as to why we were there. He was very rude and unpleasant as we apologized and just said we got lost. Would go here if you enjoy rude owners who are unpleasant. Otherwise save your $$

Response to reply

We were not dumping unwanted trash. Thanks for replying and proving my point that you and your staff are rude, and unprofessional. You can dump yard waste for free in owen sound so no need to take it somewhere else to dump… but thanks for your apology.

Terrain petit, collé sur les voisins un sur l'autre dans la section pour les tentes.
Par contre l'endroit est propre et bien tenu

This is our second time staying here and again a fantastic time. We were able to book the same cabin we previously stayed in. The cabin was spacious for 4 people. The washrooms were kept clean. Any inquiries I sent prior to our visit were always promptly answered by Tommy. Definitely will book here if we are in Owen Sound again.

Professionally managed. Very friendly. Big campsites. Showers and toilets very good. Quiet because away from the street.

The Owen Sound KOA was nice, large enough sites, good swimming pool. Just outside of town with countryside views, and quiet.
Staff are courteous, hard working.
Only complaint is cost of firewood! Over $12 a bag. If we didn’t have our g-son with us, we wouldn’t have bought any.

Not sure you want my review on the KOA IN Owen Sound. They police you contestly took alot of complaints about pool being closed Wed for cleaning. Everyone knows it doesn't take a day to clean a small salt water pool. Now because of complaints open at 2 to 8pm. This is the saddest KOA IN Ontario sad to say. Amenities are not what's advertised sad park. New owners need to relax. So disappointed in this KOA. SHARON Knoll 2nd full season not staying.

Hard to believe this is so close to Owen Sound. We camped here for a week. Check in was really quick. Campground is really quiet. Campsite was big enough for our 23 foot trailer with 30 amp, water and sewer. Weather was wonderfully warm. It's a little expensive but you're paying for the KOA name.

Great campground! First time camping with our trailer and we had a blast in spite of the weather!

This KOA hardly had anything to do for kids this is deffinetly not your typical koa. It is very well maintained and quiet I would say this KOA is more suited for older couples or hikers as it has access to the Bruce trail. We also got told that if we had a guest coming to stay at the fire for a few hours it was only an extra $5. Well our guest showed up and went in to the front office to pay and it was somehow $11? I do like how far back into the bush this KOA goes with no highway noise it actually feels like your truly camping. There is also zero food options in the store only thing I saw was pop. Make sure you come with all supplies or else you will be making a trip to Walmart like we did (thank goodness it's only 7 minutes away from the sight)
