Editing the review and changing rating since the post purchase experience has been terrible.

I received some pending bills from the previous owner, which are not added to my account by Region of Peel.

After speaking with the city office, they suggested to talk to Lawyer who can easily sort out this kind of situation.

As advised, I reached out to the lawyer several times. I got nothing but assurances that it’ll be done. It’s been approx 2.5 months, still no action taken by my lawyer.

At this point the bills are going to be added to my property tax and I’ll have to pay previous owners due if the law firm doesn’t act upon it.

I expected better service OWS Law.

Third time customer with Shahwar, always a great experience. My last transaction was particularly complicated with several delays on closing from the other party but Shahwar offered great advice all the way through and got the deal done. Great work!

I have dealt with Zaheed Moral at OWS law many times in the last few years and he has always been the best, dealing with him has been a breath of fresh air, all the time! He never disappointed me… starting from closings from multiple houses from selling, buying, refinancing, vacant land purchase, private sales, he has always been my go-to person and always available around the clock to answer any questions and always provides great advice and feedback and works for your best interest as his client. No matter if it is at 11 pm at night or over the weekend, if I needed Zaheed he was there for me and this review is for everyone out there just so you know you will be in good hands with him!:)

First of all, I would have to say this office is beautiful! I actually had completed my closing with OWS a couple months back and had an issue with the previous owners of the property. I'm very grateful to Shahwar's team for taking care of my claim with title insurance. I had come in for my own peace of mind to speak with someone in person and bring some photos and past bill payments only to be greeted by the sweetest receptionists. Honestly, asides from the trust that I have with this whole team, the hospitality I was shown when I came in was all too kind. I was given a coffee and had the pleasure of sitting down with Bella to get a sense of what the process looks like. It was a very quick fix and I'm happy to have been updated through the process and given the time and care. I really felt like I was being taken care of.

I urge everyone who are in the market to THINK twice before you retain this law firm and organization. CONSUMER BEWARE! I have personally retained this organization to facilitate my real estate transaction. Mr Shahwar Akbar, owner of this law firm and his fellow associates Mariyam Khan, a law clerk are nothing but FRAUD. Mr Akbar have retained a fellow associate lawyer Andrew Kirk - who does not know how to complete simple paper work; he made numerous errors on our transaction which resulted in unreasonable delays. They are nothing but deceitful and dishonest! They do not respond to emails or any correspondence with any parties that are involved in the transaction. They share confidential information with unauthorized individuals; unreasonably delay responses so they can jeopardize the stake of the parties involved. I have reported this organization to the law society to initiate an in-depth investigation to the integrity and professionalism of Mr Shahwar Akbar and his fellow associates.

Be aware of the phenomenon of the amount you give in the trust account for the closing. In the excitement of buying a new house no one checks the amount taken.and there some of these people make extra money. Always check negative reviews before getting any service. I had the worst experience.
