We ordered udon soup, bebin bap, and other stuff. Staff were very friendly and food was good. We will be back!

The most important of sushi is fresh! And you can find them all here! This is a Korean-owned Japanese sushi restaurant and food are very yummy. Outside of the restaurant can not catch your eyes as it looks a bit smaller and old that we were doubt abt to walk in and give a try. Once we taste the food, I feel like we will definitely come more often in the future! Recommend For sure!

Such a cute and cozy sushi spot in Richmond Hill! Can’t believe I hadn’t been here before. Great atmosphere and family run. We had the monday special platter and it was so fresh and tasted great! Takoyaki was soooo good. They don’t charge for green tea which was refreshing will honestly become our go-to spot!

I used to go to this restaurant often. The last time I went there was last week. Ordered something I used to order, but I found portion reduced a lot and ended up the service was not as good as before.

4 of us ordered 2 sashimi combo with Udon and a chicken dish. End up the "straight face" waitress gave us a look and not even say anything else.

Not that we were cheap. It was too hot outside that the weather made us not want to eat. We used to order a lunch set each, but it always would not be able to finish it.

Food came, and we asked for bowls for sharing the food. The waitress started giving us look like "seriously? 4 of you want to share those. "

After we paid, she didn't even look at us or say Bye. Just walked away.

I used to love this place a lot. After last week.never mind, I will find a better one in this area.

If you were busy, we would order take out and not bother your lunch time. Since we saw you had an empty restaurant during lunchtime, we decided to sit down, at least make your place not so empty.

All the Sushi, Sashimi and the rolls we ordered were delicious. Really liked the Tataki Roll. Will definitely eat here again.

This place is crazy! It's the most perfect restaurant I've ever been to. The food is very fresh and very delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good and above all, it is kind. And Korean food is also delicious. I plan to visit the restaurant again soon to eat other food. I really love this place.

Unagi rice tastes good; reasonable price ($22) & generous portion of unagi. Various bento box options with decent price & portion as well.

Sushi was really good. Only thing that stopped this from being a 5 star review was that the beef teriyaki we ordered was overcooked.

This is best Sushi restaurant in the area. Don't worry that it's not "all you can eat", the prices are reasonable and the food is very high quality.

The booths that are sometimes available are great for a small part of 4 or 5. The food is excellent, is served quickly and service is super friendly. If in Richmond Hill, we will return to Oyaji Sushi.

The Salmon and Tuna looks very stale (not in it's fresh light colour tone, but in dark red or pink colour). The rice tastes so like overnight. Only thing I can safely eat is the tempura, and the fried udon which is cooked. However, every piece of the grilled chicken are burnt. Please don't order from this restaurant, it's so much disappointment. I can get fresh sushi even from my local grocery but not this sushi restaurant.

Usually I would say 5/5 but since the new changes they have added a new 9: 30PM last call. I called beforehand to see what time they closed; they said 10PM and last call was 9: 30PM. Perfect.

Little did I know that doesn't actually mean you get to sit down and eat even if you arrive before 9: 30PM. I arrived at 9: 15PM and they made us order take out on the spot and wait at the tables anyways while the chef made our food (10 mins). There were other tables also still ordering while seated.

It would have been nice to know before driving to the restaurant that we would not even be allowed to sit down prior to arriving before last call.

Good Japanese/Korean restaurant with good sushi. Very friendly staff. Extensive selection of dishes on the menu. Good sushi items, bento boxes, appetizers and a la cart options.

Food is THE best in the area and is prepared so fast! We came over here after our party of 8 was not accommodated over at MINE Sushi up the street. The staff here is very hospitable and took great care of us. This was an important dinner with family from out of town. We couldn't have been happier!

Edit: Aug 7 2022. It’s ok quality sushi. They are starting to go downhill ever since a couple years ago. They need more variety of rolls, they are all kind of similar. The tempura they put inside the sushi was also very stiff and hard. I’ve yet to find a quality sushi place in richmond hill. Kind of sad…. Service is still great though.

Great for the family. Prices are around the same as everywhere else and service is great! I go with the family and they always give us a free fish. Always come here for sushi or Korean food. Mostly family run business and awesome place to eat! Also, the maki sushi sizes are pretty big, not like other places which skim on ingredients and make them the size of a thumb. Hopefully this place won't start making their sizes smaller in the future like other places.

Me and 3 of my friends went there for a relax midweek get together, we enjoyed the food and had a great time together, when came the time to pay we asked the bill to be split between the 4 of us, the “manager” brought them and we each started paying our share and decided to tip 15% that was payed by 3 of us instead of splitting in 4 because it was easier, she kept asking for the 4th person to tip also and we explained that we split the 15% tip between 3 person instead of 4 and she kept pretending she didn’t understand why the 4th person is not paying tip…. Since when is it ok to force people to tip more then they feel the need to? I was not a good way to end our dinner! Not going back! They lost big customers because we are big sushi fans and we get together often!

Ordered uni sushi and galbi lunch special. Two pieces of uni sushi for $13 are fresh and yummy.

The galbi lunch includes 3 slices of beef short ribs on a big pile of onions with 2 small pieces of broccoli, 1 small scoop of white rice, 1 piece of deep fried veggie sushi roll, tempera (included 2 pieces of shrimp, 1 onion ring, 1 broccoli and 1 sweet potato), miso soup. The $17 lunch special is a small portion.

Tempera sauce wasn’t included. 10% cash discount applied if spending over $30.

Excellence! The food was visually stunning, I was very impressed by the beautiful atmosphere as well as the friendly service despite how busy it was. Monday evening was certainly a worthy experience, I'd love to come more often! Thanks a bunch.

It was the first time I went to this restaurant with my family. The food and the atmosphere of the store were so good, and the server was so kind to talk to me and explain all the food. Our family was so happy and will come back here again.

Excellent sushi! I attend this restaurant regularly for lunch and dinner and the quality and service are always top notch. I love the lunch specials (sushi lunch) which comes with Miso soup and salad. It's very delicious and healthy. Thank you to the staff for being so great!

Fresh uni and sashimi. We tried the tataki roll. It’s really good. Definitely coming back again with more friends.

Food was great specially the shashimi salad. Service was quick. In the last three times I have visited this place they have been very consistent.

As a sushi lover that is very astute of fish quality and freshness, I am extremely impressed with Oyaji Sushi. We got the $60 Sushi combo and they even included pricier fishes that you normally don't aee at this price range. Fish is extremely fresh and well prepared. Service is five stars. I think this may be my new favorite place to eat Sushi at reasonable price in GTA - bar none. Keep up the fantastic work!

A very pleasant surprise. I chose this place because my go-to sushi house is closed Tuesday's. The platters impressed the whole group with the salmon lovers platter being the biggest hit. I will be back for more.

A great place for some sushi tucked away into the corner of a plaza. Friendly service and lots of sushi options. We made a reservation for 7 on a Friday night and shared two boats which was plenty of food and very fresh. The uni could've been better but I enjoyed everything else a lot. I came here once a couple of years back and I'm glad to see they're still doing well!

The medium combo was good and perfect for two people. Came with miso soup, salad, and a noodle soup. Sashimi and sushi were tasty. I’m glad it came with so many types of fish, and even came with salmon roe. Only negative part of the meal was that the miso soup was very salty. The noodle soup was a great addition and tasted good.

I love this place so very much. An absolute gem in not just the city but I would say in the York Region.
The atmosphere, the staff, the service is amazing. It is a family owned business and they take pride in what they do.

When you walk in, you get greeted sincerely by sushi chefs themselves.
You know that they are happy to see you.
The food is always, aaaaalways fresh and absolutely delicious.
The waitresses are attentive, quick, helpful and truly care about you.
The kitchen is fast too.
I have been coming here since they opened. I believe in 2014.
If I am far from from them but want Japanese and Korean food, I will drive extra but will go to Oyaji.

This place was phenomenal. I really love when sushi restaurants focus on the fundamentals, like high quality fresh fish and good preparation. I'll recommend Oyaji to my friends who live in the area.

This is my go to sushi spot in Richmond Hill. Family owned, by some of the kindest and friendliest people I have met. The crunchy noodle soup is really tasty, and the sushi quality is really good! Definitely give this place a try if you havent!

1. They give you SO many little side dishes/appetizers after you have ordered! No joke, there were so many that they didn't even fit on our table before the main dishes came The dishes are all VERY tasty too! My personal favorite side dish is their noodle soup

2. The service is always spectacular ️ The staff have always been nothing but warm to me and whoever I have brought here! All questions are answered in a friendly but informative manner ~

3. Portion sizes are A+ I often used to dine here with friends who I knew to be big eaters so I could order a variety and try everything? I have ALWAYS left here being way too full but that's because everything was so flavorful and fresh!

I have ordered from Oyaji for more than five times. They have always delivered with good quality sushi and sashimi. If you are lucky, they sometimes throw in uni (sea urchins) in their platters.

My girlfriend and I have come here a few times to dine in.we just visited this past saturday, as it was the first restaurant we decided to visit after covid restrictions lifted.weve never left this here dissapointed.the food is fresh, and the staff is very friendly.also theres a button at your table if you need something, you press it and a waiter/waitress will come. I stress this, every restaurant needs this, we don't have to go hunting down someone for help.on top of that you can see them making the food at the front, you can see the passion these guys have.hands down one of my favorite sushi spots to come to.we travel quite a distance to get here as well but its well worth it.even the restaurant atmosphere feels very private, intimate and not loud.gave it a very much like home feeling.would recommend to anyone! Thank you guys at Oyaji for such amazing service!

Had dinner here with my boyfriend and I just want to say that it's totally worth it the sushi and sashimi were amazing 10/10 I gotta say. I have been to a lot of sushi restaurants and this is in my top 5 choices now. Our server was Billy and what a gentleman so friendly and outgoing, made us feel so comfortable. Will be coming back again, I highly recommend this sushi restaurant. (We ordered Small combo of the sushi & sashimi platter it comes with miso soup and house salad and subbed out the Cali roll for the Fire Dragon Roll)

Best sushi place in Richmond Hill. The sushi Bento box gives you so much sashimi. They give so much fish and it's fresh, soft, and juicy!

The food and service were beyond our expectations. We really liked the environment of this place. Awesome restaurant to take my family out for lunch.
