I’ve been training at Pa Kua for around 5 months and all I can say is that it’s great! The community and the masters are very good. Master Julio is very knowledgable, he understands your level and will always challenge you to be better without putting you under pressure. I also love that the school cares about your mental being and not only your physical being! I’m so happy I decided to join!

I've been going for a year now (give or take, with long breaks due to covid, unfortunately), but I am having the time of my life! The school is very accommodating and the instructors work with your comfort and availability (within reason). I'm currently only taking archery, but I'm enjoying the discipline immensely and appreciate the passion the instructors have for their practices. Not only are the classes amazing, but the space itself is very welcoming and accessible to people in the LGBT community which is something that's very important to me. I'm hoping to take up more disciplines in the future and expect to stay with Pa Kua for a long time:)

Pa Kua Martial Art School is a great place to learn about a lot of stuff on bows, swords sabres and martial art. The master is really nice and so are the other students, it is very welcoming.

This is a great place to go by yourself, with friends, or even with your family. I like the options of different types of martial practices. It's a match for everyone. Also, I like how they are willing to adapt some classes for me to take into account my injuries as well.

Pa-Kua is my happy place! The instructors are supportive and knowledgable, and the students are kind, supportive, and welcoming. Together, students, instructors, and Master Julio have created a very special place where each person is encouraged to push themselves to be their best possible self, while also being supported in a safe manner - where taking risks is encouraged and supported. The first week of classes is free, with no obligations. Master Julio and all of the instructors take the time to get to know you - your goals and interests, so they can tailor your experience for maximum enjoyment. You will never regret spending time at Pa-Kua.

We have been with the school since fall of 2022. The staff have been fantastic and welcoming. There are many options for class times and types. The classes are cheaper the more you take but even at two classes a week, I found it affordable on a single income.
Lots of fun engagement inside and out of class times. There are events for the entire school to participate in, such as special classes, belt ceremonies or movie nights:)

Take a free week trial if you are hesitant and I'm sure you'll be signed up in no time!

A welcoming and nice environment with an inclusive and respectful group of instructors and students that go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and help you achieve your fitness goals both physically and mentally. With multiple classes and disciplines it provides flexibility and they are open to working schedules that change even as often as every week.

Great choice for families and women, with a very safe environment and culture.

They also make multiple special events to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie between their members, with activities such as open movie nights, game nights, and reunions that don't directly relate to the classes.

I've studied many different styles of martial arts over the years (with long breaks in between) and when COVID restrictions were starting to lift in late summer of 2020 I started looking again for something to keep me moving and engage my mind in a different way.

I'm so happy now that I found the Pa Kua school right in the heart of downtown London. While it is a bit different overall from anything I've done before, there were also many similarities. The way the knowledge is broken down into different (but overlapping) disciplines with the freedom to choose where to focus your learning and energy. I have been focused on Martial Arts and Archery with a few forays (more to come) into Yoga, Acrobatics, and Tai Chi.

The facility is top notch with a very effective use of space to provide training options for all the disciplines taught.master Julio and his instructors are all very knowledgeable and great teachers. I study both martial arts and archery with multiple instructors and they do a wonderful job of maintaining consistency of training while providing slight variations in how they convey and reinforce that training (which I find valuable).

Overall I highly recommend this school for anyone considering training in any of the covered disciplines (Martial Arts, Archery, Yoga, Tai Chi, Acrobatics, Edged Weapons, and Rhythm). The school facility is great, the instructors are wonderful, and the student body is diverse and close knit but always welcoming.

I've only been coming to Thai chi for a short while but I love it! It's so relaxing and Master Julio is great!

Great place to learn swordplay! After several years, I am now much more comfortable with various Chinese weapons including various sabres, swords, spear and my favourite the Bagua Dao. I enjoy this and tai chi so much that i will be expanding my classes and taking more aspects.

A really nice learning environment. You're always able to pick up any of the classes available at a beginner level and you get to learn at your own pace which is very encouraging.

I started at Pa Kua in January 2020 based on a desire to learn archery and self-defense. Many of my friends also practiced here and everyone had good things to say about the school and Master Julio. After a month of practicing, I was hooked-now, I take 8-10 classes a week. I've enjoyed every moment and it's a fun way to keep active, learn new things, make friends, and boost my confidence. I highly recommend Pa Kua!
