Since covid prices have gone up and portions have decreased dramatically.

This once was an amazing place to take friends and family to.

I'll never go back or recommend again.

Listen: this place is great. I first went here maybe 7 years ago, and it was great. I was living in Vancouver for some time, and now I'm back in Toronto, and it's still great. I ordered here during lockdowns—it was great. A friend of mine from Vancouver moved to Toronto in the past few years, and she also thinks this place is great. Her friend who is now my friend, who is also from Vancouver, went here with us tonight—he said it's great. Her boyfriend (not from Vancouver) came with us as well, and guess what? He also said it's great. Fun fact: my friend's friend who is now my friend, and my friend's boyfriend are both named Ryan. Sometimes life feels like a circle. When it gets chaotic, you need things you can rely on. Things like good friends and this place, which—by the way—is great.

Some of the best Thai food I’ve had! Partner and I were in town for the weekend and heard about the restaurant from some local friends. There was a lineup for the restaurant, took us about 45 minutes to get in.

The Pad Thai, curry, and chicken skewers were all very delicious! I’d recommend any of these dishes. Price was a bit on the higher end, but somewhat expected for downtown Toronto.

Some of the best Thai food we’ve had. Great service, nice atmosphere and the food is so delicious. We went there both nights we were in Toronto, and will go back next time we’re there. Highly recommend!

Great place. Amazing food, good service, very nice atmosphere and vibe. Wait was about 40 minutes but worth it. Lots to try - all of it was very good.

The food is delicious, but the service is really poor. I queued up for more than an hour and ordered four dishes on the super super tiny table. There was even no place to put the forks. I asked the waiter if she could help me sort it out however she just ignored me at all, and the drinks I ordered were not even given a straw. After asking for the straw, the two people only gave one, I am like really speechless. The most angry thing is that before I finish eating, waitress began to ask me if I needed to pack the box. I felt very anxious feels like she just wanted to drive me away.

I'm writing this review after 2 years, and all i could remember was that the food was soooo damn good, my girlfriend and I were blown away.which reminds me to visit again next time I go back to Toronto.

We droppes in to get some dinner. There was a bit if a line there, but it didnt take long before we had a table for five. The food was really good, so was the service. We liked the informal style of the place.

I’ve been at this place for many years and always celebrate my birthdays here. The other night I had the worst service at this restaurant - no one checked in and they got my order incorrect. BUT, yesterday I had the most amazing server. JULIA is the most genuine person and made our night amazing. I’m coming back for the food and because of Julia. AmaZing!

This place is probably the top Thai restaurant in Toronto and GTA. They have very good reviews and for good reason. Luckily I work right beside this restaurant which is a huge plus for a quick bite.

Excellent pad Thai (great flavour)

Been here a few times- one of my favourite restaurants in the area. Really good Thai food in an INCREDIBLE atmosphere. The drink menu is off the charts too!

Chef Nuit is such an icon in this city! PAi really made a huge name for itself and the hype lives up to the expectations! 5 out of 5, amazing!

Quite good food, with many interesting options. The portions however are small and it is quite expensive.

The food and service were great. There was a wait time of about 15 minutes, with good reason, the food was delicious. One of my favourite places in the city for Thai food.

Love their Panang Curry. Other dishes are good too. Worth the money spent - savory/flavors/decent portions.

Sat at the bar for a pre show meal. Absolutely delicious. Excellent staff. We shared the platter and cake. Drank Thai ice tea and pineapple shake. We will be back.

A MUST Go to place for Tai food when I am I'm the area. Great service and tge food was delicious

Absolutely incredible experience. Get there early and put your name down, we only waited 30 mins but it was worth it. The most COVID safe establishment out there! The decor was really nice and cozy, such a large space and even though it was busy we were spread out. The food was delicious and the portions were huge, prices were fair. Will make sure to come again!

Tried to go in a couple times but the queue were long. We went for a late mid week lunch so no queue- yay! And the food and service was great!

Had the Thai Chicken Wings, Pad Thai, Khao Soi, and "The Lowry".
Overall really great atmosphere, amazing food and customer service from the waiters that served us at the bar. Definitely recommend!

This place featured on a food show (day of gluttony) and were keen to try it when we came to Toronto and thankfully we went out of our way to both find it and wait to get in. The place is really cool when you go inside (you wouldn’t give it a second look from the outside) great service but the winner is the food which is simply amazing, just incredible.

Amazing Thai restaurant with authentic food and great desserts. Prices are not too crazy either.

Mediocre food and small portions, with high prices. I personally don't understand how this place has 4.6 stars, but if you read the other low ratings, it seems like a lot of others agree.

Also for the service staff - it is incredibly impolite to demand a tip to your customers.

Luckily waited not too long in line to get seated for 6 people (about 30 min on a Saturday evening- walk in). The ambience was super cute. Quite spacious inside. Seated comfortably. Food was delightfully delicious. Highly recommend

Food was great. Was little disappointed with the service. Had to ask 4 different servers for 4 different things. Our server never showed up once he brought the food out. The guy that brought our bills, I asked for separate bills but he only brought 2. Love going there, I hope our server sees this and do better next time. Love, Indrajit

Amazing food packed with flavors! We tried the Tom yum soup, Green curry and Pad Thai noodles! Will surely visit again!

This is go to place for Thai. I know the reservation is hard for this restaurant and the wait time is also usually more than an hour (sometimes we could find seat after 30 min) but it worth the wait. I'm glad we have such a good Thai restaurant in Toronto. Love their holy basil, love their pad thai, all of the curry taste amazing. Cant say anything bad about this beside how much I LOVE IT

The food was absolutely delicious, we had the Khao Soi which is their specialty.

Our only issue was the waitlist was quite a mess. We ended up waiting much longer than the original 50 minutes we were told. They should try to be more transparent with their wait times.

This restaurant is huge. Servers are polite. We went at the busiest time of the day, and the kitchen accidentally delayed our orders so we were waiting 40mins for our food; the waitress apologized and waived the charge for the items that arrived late so I was still very content with everything.

Service was excellent, water glass never went below half glass before being refilled. That's dedication! The Thai mango salad with cucumber and tomato was particular good!

The BEST place to grab Thai food! Definitely drums up Thailand vibes for me whenever we eat here. Memories of a great bustling vibe when the place was full to the brim and they have the BEST Thai Iced Tea that I’ve ever had since our visit to Thailand. Can’t wait to visit and dine-in again soon!

This has become our favourite Thai spot in the city. Last visit, we ordered the chicken wings, the (medium spicy) pad gra prow with shrimp which is basically grilled shrimp in a basil and oyster sauce on rice, and a plate of crispy whitefish filets with chili sauce on rice for take-out. Unfortunately, food is never as good when you have to walk it home through sub-zero temperatures but we loved the wings and the shrimp in basil & oyster sauce! Can't wait for dine-in to return.

One of my favourite Thai restaurants to eat at. Sadly unable to experience their amazing dining experience due to COVID but still was able to have their amazing food. Pad Gra Prow for the win!

I really liked Pai 2 years ago but I guess today’s takeout is my last time. Thai pad is even worse than Thai Express, I can say the chicken is frozen for a very long time. $17 Tom yum soup has only 1 shrimp as protein. I know it’s very hard time for restaurant, but as a famous Thai shop in toronto, this isn’t really the quality they should present.

I order some foods from Ubereats today but it doesn't taste good. I loved this place before and have visited here alot before but the food doesn't taste like before. I was disappointed this time. I ordered a pad thai and it wasn't savory enough and other foods also didn't taste like before

Delicious, authentic Thai food in downtown Toronto. The best authentic food I've had in Canada - just as good as in Thailand!

Food: delicious, tasty; Atmosphere: great, lively, noisy in a positive way; Service: not the fastest, but still very good. One waitress amoung the 4 that served us was kind of cold, but staff is very kind in general; Price: very affordable. We ended up paying $58/head but we had drinks, and lots of food. You can easily eat for $20-$30 pp; Overall experience: A+

Loved everything about my first experience at Pai! The ambience was funky and inviting, the service was great, and the food was incredible. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Panang curry and both were so delicious. I'll definitely stop by again!

I keep coming back to this restaurant, seriously the best Thai food. Also wait is not that bad if you don't go at peak times. It does get a bit loud in the evening with music and more people, so it's a bit difficult to have conversations over dinner. No need for talking if the food speaks for itself though. Try the squash fritters, you won't regret it!

Excellent place for casual dinning in Toronto. Food is fresh ans service is great. This is a popular sport for good reason. Be prepared to wait in line for a while. It is worth is though.

I looooove this place. A combination of Thai style food and western style bar. I was surprised how busy it was even during the day, glad me and my friend arrived earlier. And the menu was soooo cute! Fast and friendly services

This is one of my favourite restaurants, but I’m sorry to say the quality has been very inconsistent lately. The same beef pad Thai can come out great or mediocre at best.
Last time we came for lunch, the food literally took an hour to arrive and it wasn’t even hot, like it was sitting on a counter somewhere, way too oily and the beef was tough.
The server was impossible to get a hold of and the place wasn’t even full.

Amazing food. Waited about 30 minutes around 7: 30 on a Friday night - had a drink while waiting. The drink was amazing and food was spectacular. Even saw Kal Penn! (Options available for gluten free)

Went here with a colleague at work and it was great. It would seem like a hole in the wall from the street but is completely underground with tons of seating and an eclectic ambience. Had the fish green curry and it was pleasantly good. Service was fast and friendly. Certainly worth a visit.

Exceptional Thai food at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend the Grabong for appetizers, and the Pad Gra Prow with pork for mains.

Other standouts are the Khao Soi and the delicious ice creams they served.

Place is busier than a bus station in Bangkok and for good reason, the food is amazing.

Pro-tip: If you have a couple dozen friends, you can rent out the backroom. It’s spacious, has a tv, and a window to the bar. Perfect place to sit back and enjoy a wonderful meal while watching hordes of people w/o dozens of friend wait in line for a table.

The room also comes with a set chef’s menu, which was great because I got to eat some shrimp on a leaf.

The pad thai is a most, pretty much everyone recommends that at every Thai place.

The Gaeng Masaman with braised beef is amazing so try that instead of the pad thai because that’s slightly less amazing.

The food here is amazing and the place has a great vibe! The server taking our order was a little clueless when asked about gluten/dairy in some dishes, but would confidently confirm/deny it did, only to check back later and let us know it did/did not. My friend is allergic and had to be sure. It would be completely alright if the server just told us they could check and get back to us instead. Everything else was good and the place is definitely worth a visit.

Really disappointed as this place was so well reviewed. We had to wait for a table which was fine, but when our pager buzzed and we went up it still took them several minutes to seat us. When we were finally given a table the wait for food was over 40 mins, which for lunch is a little excessive. No explanation, no apology. Then on top of that, the food was cold for all 3 of us. It tasted alright which is why this isn't a one star review. Then the cherry on top was having to hunt someone down to bring us the pinpad so we could pay after they dropped off the cheque. Definitely wouldn't recommend, and for one member of our group not the first poor experience here.

This place is amazing and great staff! The best thing to do here before you go is reserve a table as it's very busy in here and could be a long wait if you just drop in. The food here is great! I will definitely come back here for Thai food!

Just the best or nothing!
There will certainly be wait during the weekends and holidays but the food will be worth the wait.
The place can get super crowded but still the place has its own charm so get ready to be swamped during rush hours.
Highly recommended!

Just hands-down a great Thai place. This place was super busy and we were lucky to get a table for two in between reservations, but it's worth it. The vibe and ambience is already great, but the flavours I got from the food were no joke, and it definitely filled me up. I got the Panang Curry, my friend got the Green Curry, drinks of Thai iced tea, and we split their breaded shrimp (can't rememebr the name), and it was just all amazingly good. Would recommend, especially for a date night!

Very good food. Make sure you get there early or book the day before because the wait can be long especially after 6pm. The food is very good though and service pretty fast. Prices for an appetizer are 8-10$, and 15-20$ for a main course, which is very reasonable.

Best Thai in Toronto! Amazing food, tasted exactly like what you’ll have in Thailand. The staff is also amazingly friendly, even recommended place for us Taiwanese to go shop for souvenirs! This is definitely a place you should come and enjoy!

I had the fried fish and it was absolutely delicious! It's a shame I couldn't finish it or bring it with me as I had somewhere to go but I will be definitely visiting again. The staff was friendly and the vibe of the restaurant was chill. Would recommend!
