Me and my husband went there recently (on Jan 8,2024) at around 9pm, we were busy looking for some food items and the lady at front screamed loudly from behind “CLOSED NOW” its not what she mentioned to us was not right but she significantly lacked customer service skills, if she would have very nicely told us the same thing, we wouldn’t have felt bad, both me and my husband left the store and she disrespected the customers, we were under the impression that store is open until 10 pm, surprising part is even after we left and went to our parking spot, the door had the “Open” sign on, I mean she really need good communication skills, never coming to the store again and will never recommend to any of my known ones. We were both very disappointed and felt insulted.

Just had the best Vada Pav made by Varsha. Loved it! So reasonable, like only $4

The place is good, has most items needed for us Indians. The only problem is, the management needs to train and make its staff understand that not every customer that walks into your store is a shop lifter! I came in today around 5 pm with a back pack to carry my purchased items, only to be checked at the billing counter on the basis that I had stolen some item when clearly I had not! I have shopped here for the last 2 years never had experienced an embarrassing situation like the that happened today!

Rude staff at cashier. I have ordered tea several times here and I am aware how much quantity they serve. This time I received half the quantity of the mug and upon asking that the qty this time is very less, she rudely denied that we serve that much qty only and we cannot do anything! It would be approx 100 ml tea for 2.50$. Don't buy!

I didn't tried all dishes. But I tasted "Dahipuri" & it was amazing, delicious and fresh.
Priya is amazing chef, very attentive, handles customers with respect and care, fast working.

Indian grocery shop, under one roof you can get fresh roties, tea. Indian vegetables and live Golgappa and snacks.

The grocery shop is overall good with a lot of indian desi goods but some products are a little overpriced but still works.

How can they sell items only on debit card or cash? Outdated business model from 18th century is not going to work in 21st century. I along with some of friends have stopped going to the store.

One star for the simple reason it’s going to be gone soon. There is a bigger n better store 500 mtrs down the road towards markham.

I really wished there was an option to give less then 1 star. Seriously, you guys are selling rotten food. Bought 2 patties from the Scarborough Markham location yesterday come to find out that both had white fungus (Attached is the image). Guys, DO NOT buy those Samosas or any other fried thing from this place as they are legit selling old and rotten food to the customers. I am going to complaint to the health inspection dept.about this. This is just insane!

Great place to do some Asian grocery shopping. Found some items to be expensive though. Was pretty disappointed that they only accept debit, cash or online transfer. They don't accept credit cards. I understand that processing fees are high but I feel they should allow that option especially on purchases above a certain amount. Other grocery stores in GTA do the same.

You get all Indian veggies and groceries. Readymade foods especially Dokla is a must try. Some utensils are also available. Conveniently located at Elmsmere and Markham road intersection. Limited parking is available.

1) Always, ALWAYS check your bill once you check out. Panchavati is known to charge more than the list price. I and my friends have noticed it multiple times.

2) The Punjabi students at check-out counters are rude. They lack the basic etiquettes and don't know how to treat customers. They all need a crash course in customer service. The Gujarati girls however, are a bit better than the Punjabi girls.

3) Panchavati has extremely inflated prices for some items (for example, Nescafe Instant Coffee), so please do your due research before shopping at this supermarket.

How can they sell expired products? Not every time people would look into the details before purchasing. I bought these especially to write the review. The manufacturing date is in September 2020 with an expiry of within 9 months. Imagine!
It’s a famous product amongst Asian households and consumed by all age groups.
They should recall all expired products and start selling the fresh ones. It’s ironic how they sell bad products and charge it’s customer high price.

Please be aware.

I avoid going to this Supermarket in winter because they burn Camphor and it makes my jacket smell smoke

Got stuff from here the price marked was different and later when I checked the bill, they charged me more than displayed. Savera Paneer was priced at $1.99 each and they charged me $3.98 each. Now I live far and can’t go back immediately, the staff is really busy and don’t care about charging customers real price, This is not acceptable *EYES ON THE BILL CUSTOMERS* Very unethical and unhappy with this kind of service!

I bought dhokla from this location and it had fungus on it. I am not at all happy with the service they provide. The food is stale many times. I would recommend not to buy any prepared food from this location.

Be ready to pay 50 cents to $1 extra for any item you buy here as compared to other Indian stores. I bet they won’t do price match.

Complain about a product being sold beyond expiry date, you will see same item with new expiry date extended for another year pasted on it next day.

Item with MRP in INR are being sold 3 times the price in CAD.

Seasonal products like for Diwali, Rakhi, Holi are way too expensive. They sell 1 item from the pack at the cost of pack.

I come here for few Indian items only.

Stupid place with unorganised and ugly customer service n unethical mannerisms staff. Hope owner looks after Staff well by minimum standards.

Poor Customer service, they got no respect for anyone, Cashiers are always living in their own world. Went their twice and found the same attitude, same rude behaviour. Please while working you are supposed to treat your customers nicely.

Had the live food (papdi chaat, dal puri, paani puri, samosas chat). It wasn't earth shattering, but it was good, authentic Indian street food. Inside as well they were really well stocked up with all the fruits, vegetables and grocery items you'd see in any Indian grocery store. Definitely worth regularly visiting for your shopping needs or paani puri cravings.

Cannot understand why this store does not accept credit cards even though they charge much higher prices for goods than other Indian stores.

General indian stores are at many locations now but snacks are really good here, specially the patty.

While this branch of Panchvati is regularly very busy but effective, their chaat tent outside during summer is a must visit! Always have had positive experiences! Thank You and keep up the great work!

They don't accept credit card. And the prices are little bit on the higher side compared to other stores that sell Indian grocery.

The expiry dates of many products are already passed and they still sell them saying "It won't harm your body". I have encounter products like Pav Bhaji masala, Garam Masala and sometimes Maggie too. Please double check the expiry dates before purchasing. Most of the time there Billing servers are also down and they just don't care about wasting our time. So prefer to go for an alternate store if possible.

This Indian grocery store is good and clean, fresh vegetables are available here and this store is good for buying food items, frozen food and grains and pulses are available here.

I bought some samosa, Punjabi Samosa and Puff. All items were rotten, stale, not eatable at all. I garbaged all items. How they are selling such not eatable items by saying Fresh food!
Avoid all food Items.

Went to buy groceries. Label a product different and charge different. Happened on 3 items on same purchase. Food displayed on counter is stale and rotten.

Staff is not that friendly. The display messages and staff responses are different. Beware that no credit is accepted for payments. Limited variety is available in the mart.

This place has almost everything you might need from an Indian supermarket. The prices are quite decent, but the more obscure an item you're trying to procure the more expensive it will be. So if you want that specific brand of xyz that no other store in Toronto keeps, you'll pay a premium for it.

I rate it average because the staff behaves like they are least bothered about anything. The cash counter is usually handled by staff that won't even acknowledge you if you say hello, it's so uncanny, it reminds me of a certain place I would like to forget.

Also, don't buy the "fresh" dabeli and Wada pav stored on the shelf near the checkout counter. They are wrapped in plastic wrap with the labels "fresh" but they aren't, atleast the ones we had were stinking of stale oil and the wadas had been taken out of the fridge recently.

I'm giving it 3 stars just for having stuff I can't usually buy elsewhere in the city.

I bought some samosa and two of another item each cost. 70 cents. Samosa was good, but other item was rotten, stale, not eatable smell. I think "cheap goods are not good "! I will never go there! Thanks pancreatic.

The prices are too high when compare to other Indian grocery stores. Better to drive little more and go to Iqbal foods in east york or Mississauga.

Staff should learn manner at cash counter while talking to customers. Prices are outdated on most of the items. Price tags are missing for few of them. It's 2021 and they don't accept credit card, expecting customer to carry cash all the time in their wallet.

This place always makes me feel very disappointing. Eventhough the staff is very rude towards its valuable customers. I just want to suggest one thing please give some training to your employees how to give good customer services.

Well kept, clean and lot of variety especially in frozen, flour and snacks section. Vegetables are mostly fresh. They have carrom boards as well and are comparatively cheaper.

The cashier need to talk get training of customer service. They cashier is like someone forced them to stand. They look at you in such horrible way that they will giving you favor.

They don't accept credit cards whatever be the amount of purchase, this is RIDICULOUS and very inconvenient. Very congested store, can't even move your carts conveniently. No price tags / incorrect price tags for few items. No reason to go to this place. Will not go here again.

Good place for groceries and food but the staff isn't very helpful in finding stuff and its super cramped. Very tightly packed together and can get confusing to find stuff. But if you're urgently looking for Indian groceries, you'll probably find them here

Bought 12 samosas and all of them were rotten inside.the potatoes inside were stretchy and sticky and smelled SOUR! They leave the whole tray out in the warm or room temperature for hours or days and that is the best way for bacteria to fester. They have no standards and will be reported to the better business bureau and I hope the ministry shuts them down. Uncouth barbaric Indians who have no standards.all they are focused on is the cash flow! This place fits the Indian stereotype perfectly!

Fresh items of veggies, variety of frozen items like roti, paratha and other frozen ones. Lot variety of groceries, snacks. They have a kachori, samosa bar with other mouth watering snack foods.

Its a good place to get all the household stuffs. Also the snack shop infront which sells masala puri etc is awesome. Loved it.

It is old vine in new bottle. It was known as patel bros. Prices very high. Family run affair, not very friendly staff. Was looking for fresh roti making machine.did not see. There are better stores that offer similar products.

You can get all Indian groceries which you get back home in India. Managed by a Gujarati family it has all the groceries and food eatable like Dhokla, khandvi, samosa, patty, vada pav, etc. It also has a food stall outside the shop where you can get Indian Street Food. If you are around neighbourhood of Scarborough you must visit this grocery store to buy all your Indian Food Supplies

A good place to buy Indian groceries. However, the standard of customer service requires immediate attention.

But last time I got charged for something I didn’t buy at all.

I checked the bill and they put some random items it the bill.
I went back to store but they don’t accept their mistake. (I was only advised to check the bill while purchasing for the next time). What’s this!

A great place in Canada who has each and every verity of Indian things. If you visit this place you will feel like its a regular supermarket of india.the same vibes.even music they play and workers.

Fast food and snacks served are delicious. However it may be little pricey. Overall it's a good Indian grocery store.

Perfect for Indian Grocery store, but prices for different items are comparatively costlier than other stores.

Knowing that they have high cost with low standards I still used to buy some stuff but when I realized they have expired food on one item after that I got to know that most of the packed food is expired, would recommend not to buy anything without checking the date and they don't even accept credit cards and worst customer service. Though it is well organized, take advantage of locatin. Rates are much higher for some products and overall expensive than other Indian grocery stores in the area.

One can get all Indian brand groceries here. Small but a good place to have all things in. Parking is available. Have a open stall for Indian street food too like pani-puri, chaat etc. They offer you free polythene carry bags. I would have given it a 5 star but did not because the store accepts only Cash and Debit for payments. No Credit cards. They should upgrade it for the convenience of their future clients.

This Indian supermarket has a lot of variety of products. From daily groceries to dairy products; from rice to all kinds of dal and pulses. They have variety of snacks such as punjabi mixtures, Gujarati sev, indian cookies and biscuits. They have a large variety of drink products such a juices, pops and juicei mix. From vegetable to fruits and also large variety of green leafy vegetables. One thing that caught my eye was Indian cricket team jersey. It's was the right fit for me but the quality was towards down word side. They have also have a carrom board to sell and also cricket bat with real season ball.
