If I could give 0 stars I would. The customer service here is awful. I placed a $500 dollar catering order in advance for delivery. I have called about a dozen times, the employee there doesn't even breathe, he just says Panera Whitby please hold, no one answers again or just hangs up. I had to call head office in the USA to get a response from them. The food was over 2 hours late because they forgot about the order. No call to apologize, or a heads up. The delivery driver who dropped off the food laughed and said we forgot about it, which I don't think was funny at all. One of the 1/2 gallon bottle of drinks I ordered cracked, spilled all over the ripped bag and on an entire loaf of bread that we had to throw out because it was soggy. I am still waiting to hear back from them to correct this.
Been going once a week for a coffee and a bagel. Coffee is average and bagels are exceptional. Very fresh and with butter and garlic cream cheese are a treat. Expensive though. Bagels are around 2.50 but on Tuesday you can buy 13 bagels for 10.99. Great deal. Great flavours. Recommend, but again expensive.
Absolutely delicious soups! We tried the Bistro French Onion soup and Cream of Broccoli Cheddar soup. Both tasted fantastic with the perfect amount of flavour. The soups were presented beautifully in a cute little bun which made it even more appealing. I have to knock off a star because they essentially “rushed” us to leave. As we ordered they informed us that they close in 20 minutes which was reasonable as we came in late. However, as we were eating they were mopping and vacuuming and told us they’re closing in 10 minutes. I understand they wanted to go home but we still had time, and we were certainly going to leave before they actually closed. It just felt a little awkward having them tell us twice and walk around making us feel unwelcome. I’ve worked in retail myself and understand the frustration. However, we never made customers feel unwelcome or rushed.
I always love Panera bread. I sat in my car and ordered my food and it was done in under 10 minutes. My favorite is the chicken wild rice soup. I like it so much that I bought a group portion and ate it for the next 3 days. Their baguettes are really good and they give you a good portion to go along with the soup. Unfortunately I moved out of the area and there is not a Panera bread near me. So whenever I am in the area I am sure to go back.
Had a Mediterranean sandwich/Mac & cheese combo. The sandwich was spot on! This was the first time I visited a Panera since they closed the Ajax location I did have one suggestion. I find it funny that a baguette is offered as a side option when you're having a sandwich. Perhaps carrot/celery sticks or a cookie could be an alternative option.
Got dinner for our family here, the pepperoni and mozzarella cheese melt was dry and bland. Got the broccoli and cheddar Mac and cheese, noodles were so over cooked it was basically mush. First time trying panera, likely the last. Staff was very friendly though
My family loves Panera. Unfortunately, today we found blonde hair in our mac & cheese. I am one to lose hair when I'm at home, and I know to keep my hair in a cap. The ladies that I see by the kitchen don't have one. They replaced it but the look made me worry so I watched them make me a new one.
Always delicious food! Our favourites are the Broccoli Cheddar Soup and the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken sandwich! We love coming with the kids too because we aren't so confined to one table. They can wiggle and walk around.
Came here for lunch and got their Pick 2 combo. There are a few tables for dine in and the workers are great!
I got the half toasted steak and white cheddar sandwich which was delicious and their small French onion soup (a bit too sweet for me). My sister got the half smokehouse BBQ chicken sandwich and half green goddess Cobb salad with chicken which she said were both delicious. The combos came with a side of chips, bread, or apples. I also got their iced coffee which was surprisingly good!
Lovely place to grab breakfast. Food was ready within minutes. I would expect a little more on the quantity served though. Overall, I'd be going there again some other time.
