Paradise Park

Fantastic place for grandkids. A beach, playground, and self-cleaning washrooms with change tables. All within a residential neighbourhood.

Beautiful setting. Wear water shoes if going into Lake Ontario as there a lot of pebbles at the shore.

Went for a picnic with my friend’s son, Quiet and great park to visit with kids. The public washroom was all automatic - locks, flushes and cleans automatically. However, the auto cleaning floor function did not clean the paper towels on the floor and felt weird going into wet floor washroom… The park itself is really really nice and big parking lot.

Playground reconstructed in 2018 along with a brand new shade structure and park lighting. New public restroom constructed in 2021.

A peaceful and lowkey park/beach. Me and my girl always pass by whenever we are in the area. Go for a quick walk and just take in the scenery. Leave with a peace of mind.

Anything nature in my book is worth the visit. The coast along east Scarborough, Ajax and Whitby is great for hiking and bike rides.

I do it regularly with friends from Spring to Fall.

I do wish the area would put a bridge west of here at Frenchman Bay so that hikers / bikers can do longer excursions.

Very lovely place but some people when they come the leave their garbages are on the park, big says there no flame " BBQ " still some idiots they do BBQ, beside that lots of mosquitoes. But very quite place

Need to pay for parking expensive, and needed permits for barbecue that is silly. And is small beach compares to Vancouver b.c beaches

They charge for parking for weekends. And there's no parking meters. How do we even pay? And it says $50 ticket will be issued for non payers.

Fun playground for the little ones. There's the beach across the street and parking aswell. Overall good family fun.

Great park with a few spacious parking lots. Nice cute beach, easy waterfront trails, good for walking and cycling.
Be prepared to over come little hills on a trail)

Nice place for family outings. Ample of places to sit with shady trees. Beautiful Beach front. If you love water splashing sounds while sitting on a lush green lawn then it's a good place.

However, water is laced with algae so not so attractive beach front for anyone who would like to take a dip.

Similarly parking is not free for NON Ajax residents on weekends and one has to pay online (20 CAD) as per poster on parking Location and Ajax Town website.

Beach and is great, easily accessible but there is algae right close to the beach. My last time to Pickering Harborfront Beach water was better although Beach not as good. It is on a higher angle and Beach itself rougher. Still prefer Pickering Beach better.

Good place. Beautiful views and basic facilities are available. Beach water is stincy. Beach is not good for swimming even going in water.
Major concentration is on getting money through parking. Disable parking is under paid parking, surprisingly.
Major interest be to develop more than discourage people.

Beautiful beach and treed areas. Also has walkway/ bike trail. 20$ per day parking fee for non ajax residents on sat-sun and holidays. They will ticket on week ends. Lots of security going around regularly. Need a permit for BBQ and groups over 15 people. We had a beautiful day, family picnic. Will definetely be going back.

This park/ beach is a nice chill area that you can picnic. The parking is just 2 mins walk to the beach front and the trail goes on for a long long way if you wish to cycle or walk a bit. There are benches to sit at intervals. During the summer you can swim as long as the water is safe

Beautiful beach.babies love the beautiful park and trails for riding and scootering. I love the trees, scenery and wildflower gardens and the many monarch butterflies hovering over it all

The park is new and the variety of equipment is very nice. There is something for children of all ages, including a tall slide and a merry-go-round. When the washrooms are finished and open, it will be a 5-star playground.

Great place for the whole family. If you aren't local need a parking permit for weekends and holidays or may get a ticket. Otherwise Great place for the whole family

This is a great location for walking, jogging, biking or just simply spending time with your family.

This beach has great open view. Easy to park. But the beach is way too stony and windy. Literally no one kid or adult can swim or boat today.

Truly a hidden gem, tucked away in a cute neighborhood of south Ajax. Keep walking west and you’ll quickly enter Ajax Waterfront Park which features a well paved trail looking down towards lake.

This place is a piece of Heaven. Dont destroy it with waste! Appreciate what you are presented with! I love the area and the lake looks beautiful. Nice walking path, beautiful lake view, you can actually see CN Tower in a distance. Local people are super friendly!

I usually come here for a peace of mind, self reflection, BBQ, have camp fire (ofcourse take extra caution) AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I left the place the way it was when I arrived!

Not much to do here. There's a playground for children. That's nice. Big open field, but not many things so it's just grass. No parking in the winter so you need to park on the street.

Not paradise but close enough. It's right outside of the city - so that's close enough too!

Paradise Park in Ajax is a favourite spot for me to take my dog Mac. He's a Lab that loves the water and likes chasing geese and squirrels. However, I remember the place from my youth. People who were considered poorish lived in converted summer cottages. They had well water and propane heaters. Snobby Ajaxians thought they were white trash. Guess what a building lot costs there today?
The lake and the beach there are paradise.

Good sized parking. Really close to Lake Ontario, and a nice park to bring the kids. Baseball diamond and 2-fenced tennis courts. Close to table and fast food restaurants. Sobeys is close enough to easily drive and pick up a fruit tray on hot summer days.

Beautiful views of the lake. The playground and parking has been updated and realigned as of 2019

The town has refurbished the playground and is transforming it back to a natural state (removing invasive trees etc). Parking is now on the south side closer to the lake

Nice clean parks and water front trails, not much for parking, great for pokemon fans, good view of the water, only down fall in the summer, mind you it could've just been me or what I was wearing but I had a pair of birds dive bomb and follow me down the path, was no different than anybody else going down the path, so i ran further down the path and i was fine, maybe i was on there turf of close to a nest while walking I'm not sure, but keep an eye out otherwise great walk, there are benches along the path as well

Great area for a picnic. Kept well clean. It's not supervised but they have a great park and lots of shady spots with picnic tables or benches

Beautiful scenery. The kids loved it here! It's full of little beach nooks so you can find a section for yourself and it's pretty private. Just bring some good water shoes (not crocks) for the kids, it's mostly rocks.

Adult park, not well suited for children. Also too many dogs, mostly unleashed; big turn off and dangerous for cyclists.

This is a clean, new park with ample parking. Loved that it is so close to the waterfront trail, has a tennis court and a seated area.

This little gem-o-the-burbs located at the bottom of Pickering Beach Road offers a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle just 5 min north.

Sprinkled along the paved Waterfront Trail, are many well-spaced park benches, picnic tables, BBQ pits, and plots of lovely grass (for your doggo-babbies or rugrats to run wild).

Enjoy a sunset stroll, a quiet bike ride, a family get-together, or simply - sink your toes into the sand and enjoy the sound of rythmic waves washing over you.

The park has been upgraded with new play equipment and a gazebo. A bench in the gazebo in a nice place to sit and watch the rolling waves of beautiful Lake Ontario.

Quiet, clean and accessible. There is not of traffic here so it actually very peaceful. Kids can play safely

This was my first visit to Paradise Park since it was earmarked for rehabilitation. It looks wonderful so far! It is still in progress and the washroom facilities are not constructed yet but you can see the new-ness of the area.

The Town of Ajax is conscious of making it as accessible (barrier-free) as possible. I went to visit the large beach mats that they are preparing for scooters and strollers to get access to the beach.
