Worst shawarma I had in my life.

This was my first time eating at this location. I figured I give it a shot. Terrible decision. It's very difficult to not make a good shawarma yet they somehow managed it. Dry chicken, terrible sauces, poor quality of ingredients, and small portion.

I was hoping that this would be a regular go-to during my office days when I’m feeling Mediterranean food; unfortunately, I will not be returning to Paramount if the business decides to function as is.

I ordered the small box at lunch today, with the base being rice and closing chicken as the meat. To start, the serving size was extremely small compared to the price offering of $14.11 - the lunch could be eaten in 8-9 tablespoon bites.

The food unfortunately also did not live up to the price, as the chicken and rice were l bland. While the garlic sauce helped (as it usually should with shawarma), the server skimped on the amount put on the food.

I understand that the pandemic may have taken a hit on the vendors at First Canadian Place. Compared to its neighbouring tenants who provide a bang for your buck with the price you pay, Paramount failed. Until this restaurant starts to prioritize its patrons, I cannot recommend this restaurant as a reliable lunch spot.

EDIT: I e-mailed as requested, and did not hear acknowledgement back from the restaurant. I don’t think anything will change - do not come here if you’re looking for a delicious meal that will fill you up.

This place is situated in a busy area around different businesses and that's why the food court gets so busy during lunch time. This is my regular place as the food is clean. The only thing I would like them to take care is the dry meat, and that is fine but you don't cheap out on sauces. Overall great place to try out Halal food.

The main issue is portions. They cheap you out on the chicken and fill your plate up with carbs. Typical of a chain location, better off going local where the people actually care about their customer's and are not just employees. Would not spend $20 again for a plate with 1kg of rice and 2g of chicken.

I was planning to put this on my bucket list for my visit to Toronto but reviews for each location says that the servings are pretty small. Sometimes people from other cultures who experienced a lot of poverty are use to having smaller servings and this could be the reasons. North American countries are use to having generous portions. I would prefer to visit a restaurant that serves generous portions.

I had to give a star a star to give my review, and so I gave it an average star.

WARNING! They served us meat after we specifically asked for vegetarian beyond option. The food tasted so much like meat that after we called to confirm if indeed what we were given was beyond meat, they said no. They didn’t even have beyond meat that day! Beyond appalling, the staff do not care about a person’s sensitivities at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
