Came here for a quick bite, and remembered their beef tartare was on the list to try from blogTO.
Their beef tartare was actually very tasty served with some butter toasted bread. Overall, very good beef tartare and ambiance is very nice on a hot summer day.

Came here on a Sunday evening and we had a really lovely experience. Maya, our server, was spot on in recommending wines based on our taste profiles and she was such a sweetheart. (Hi from Brian and Ashley!) The ambience, service and wine was on point and we would definitely return!

This restaurant was such a disappointment. Very slow service, didn’t have mocktails with the basic Ingredient, and they do not warn you that the tables are shared with other guests. We ordered a calamari which arrived almost 30 mins after, and had fried cauliflower mixed into it!
Will not recommend going here.

EXPENSIVE! Great spot, amazing atmosphere, great service, awesome food & drinks but over $100 for 2 drinks and 2 appetizers.too muckin' futch!

From the outside, this place looks perfect for drinks for a sister Sunday outing. However, our experience was soured by the server who seemed like she would rather be in a dumpster truck fire in a trainwreck than be serving us. She scoffed at my request for a type of wine and I felt immediately dismissed. I was dismissed at every opportunity to get her attention. The wine was extremely just okay.

Super quaint decor, pretty meh experience.

Horrid experience. Slow, careless and had to call waitress for everything - never checked up for ANYTHING. Cleared the table with food still on our plates in the middle of finishing starters when the mains where coming. Been there a few times over the last few months but that’ll be our last!

Food and wine, great! Atmosphere, great! Service, absolutely the reason I won’t be returning. Within 5 hours we were approached by 3 different servers, only got 2 drink refills (wanted more on our Friday night within the span of 5 hours) … takes 20 minutes to track down a server to ask for something as simple as another drink or menu…they took away the menu after drink 1,2 hours later we had to ask where our menu went for food…we were rushed because by then it was 45 minutes to kitchen close. Our food couldn’t fit on the table, nor did they bring us side plates/cutlery to help share appetizers at all. How are you supposed to share a block of cheese without a knife? Took 10 mins to track down any server.
To top it all off we paid, then were told they undercharged us… we had to ask for the itemized receipt to show them what we ordered and that we paid the right amount.
The manager came over and mentioned the “low tip percentage” and paused looking for a response…. I’m sorry but if you want to make money in the service industry at least provide the service.

Good for drinks, decent service.
When it comes to food, can definitely be better. As a table of 3, we got the mixed charcuterie, which comes to $27,4 small pieces of bread is an extra $7 which was odd. For $34, you would expect a decent portion to snack on, however not the case. Haven’t seen a smaller charcuterie board in the city.

Really pretty spot for some yummy small plates and drinks. Definitely on the more expensive side with smaller portions, but if you’re sharing with another person you’re still able to taste a few things. I got the beef tartare which was delicious and my personal favourite, the heirloom tomato salad which was super refreshing, one of the cheeses which was just alright in my opinion, and the fries which were super crispy, salty, and yummy. Good spot for a vibey date night or a girls night!

Great food, cocktails and terrible service. While we waited an hour for our first round of drinks it was nice to see the staff got to enjoy a few wine tastings. You would also think they would be a little more pleasant after enjoying some wine. Cheers to them I guess.

Great interior on the new Ossington location. Patio average. We had the steak tartare and a small cheese plate and both were delicious. Selection of wines by the glass was limited and my selection was not available. Also pretty steep: 3 glasses of wine and those snacks was $124 with tip.

Nice wine bar with good selection of wine. The server we had seemed knowledgeable and gave a good recommendation. Food is sub-par. Fries are good - so would recommend going for snacks. Gnocchi was terrible - like squash soup with mushy potatoes. Overall what you'd expect from Ossington strip. Nice vibe, solid wine, but skip the food.

Went for a quick bite here with my sister who was visiting out of town! It's been on my list for a while and we were originally going to head out to Milou but then realized they were closed on Tuesday so we had to scramble to somewhere else nearby bc it was so so cold that day. Paris Paris was so so beautiful, it definitely a great spot but it was more of a wine bar than a restaurant (which isn't a bad thing! We were just more hungry and not much of a day drinker). The food came out quickly, we got the bread and butter + olives, raw oysters, and brown butter gnocchi. Their bread was so good, I had to get another order but to go after we were done here. The brown butter gnocchi was cooked so well, I would definitely come back here with my girlfriends for a wine night! It was quite pricy but worth it, not an everyday place I'd visit but I'd love to come by more often! I also wish they had warm drinks since it was such a cold wintery day. The space was quite large so there are definitely a lot of tables, it wasn't too busy when we went but it was also a random tuesday around 2pm. I'm happy I was able to cross another place off my list and also spend some time with my sister!

I was looking forward to dining here but disappointed in the menu. I ordered the burrata and it was the smallest portion for the price they were charging with no garnish. The gnocchi tasted like mash potatoes, it was quite unfortunate. I was looking forward to the wine menu which appeared to be robust but the glass options were minimal with strictly young Canadian wines.

Beautiful location in a fun part of Toronto, wine menu has some hits and misses, some nice bottles in there, but the price of them takes the fun out of it. The food was nothing special, some fun tweaks on the fries by adding rosemary, but overal quite disappointing.

Very trendy new spot on Ossington which used to be a former garage/pop up shop. Nice to see that they have repurposed the space into a great new restaurant. The food was good and the vibe was lively. It was a bit on the pricey side for the quality, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a spot on the Ossington strip.

Great drinks, beautiful location but that is where it ends.

For me, service is paramount on whether I will recommend a place. With such a beautiful location it's a shame that I felt like a nuisance to my server. This was on multiple locations, as I had a rude server the first time, but decided to give it another shot, as it had just opened for the summer.

When a group of 5 of my friends went to Paris Paris for drinks on Saturday evening, our server didn't seem to want to take or order, or frankly be working. None the less when it came time to pay the bill just 40 minutes of us being there, we tipped as we normally do, and took a picture of the bill to split it amongst ourselves after the fact.

WELL the next day going through the bill we see an EXTRA 20% gratuity was put on top. First of all, I had been there in the past with no additional gratuity for a table of 6, so it came as a shock we had one for a table of 5. Second, there was no mention of this AT ALL, or even any interaction with our server when we were checking out. Not to mention the terminal prompted you to tip.

Felt very sneaky. I am all for mandatory gratuity OR higher prices to pay their staff a living wage, but Paris Paris did it wrong, and lost my business because of it.

Shout out to Burdock, and Grape Witches! A few places in the west end that pay their staff a living wage, or let you know gratuity is inlcuded!

Enjoyed a round of cocktails, wine (approachable list with different price ranges) and shared entrees. The steak tartare was good, but the bread was GREAT. Kale salad was ok, should have been massaged in my opinion. Butter gnocchi was definitely disappointing. Almost mushy. We did enjoy the lamb, it was very tender. Service was good, bonus points for “cool” factor.

I’ve been to Paris Paris twice, once in their old spot on Dundas and again this week in the new location. The experiences are years apart and I’m beyond confused as to how they’ve clearly been successful enough to move to a bigger venue but the issues they had from the first, smaller spot persist. For the volume of people working on the floor, the service is violently bad. Our host directed us to our table with as much enthusiasm as someone digging their own grave. It took 15 minutes to get water for the table. It took about 40 minutes for our table of 6 to each have a drink. It took 25 minutes to pay our bill. The restaurant was busy, but not enough to tie up the seemingly endless amount of staff working/standing around chatting. I wouldn’t recommend Paris Paris to someone as a joke.

25 minute wait for our reserved table. Who wants to sit on high tops without backs? No one. The charcuterie is overpriced, the gnocchi was not good. The music was so loud I truly don’t know what my partner and I even spoke about because we couldn’t hear each other. Disappointing, won’t be returning.

Good drinks, and unique food, which is good given the price. The croquettes and chicken are standouts. The kitchen staff is on another level!

The service/front-of-house is god awful. On two occasions now I have received slow service from uninterested servers, who can’t even seem to figure out basic manners. I chose not to tip after receiving essentially no service and was confronted by my server in a very condescending and entitled manner. Absolutely unacceptable.

Dear whoever- I didn’t tip because you’re bad at your job. Maybe don’t interrupt a customer’s conversation just to guilt trip them? Maybe that could help you “survive”.

The food is good, but if you prefer service, I would recommend any other Ossington restaurant. They’re all more deserving of your money.

Food was great! Lobster was the best dish! I gave it a bad rating due to the horrible service. Our server barely checked on us. I had to wait a while until I had finally signaled to coworker of hers who then called her over. Once I asked for the check I hate to wait a long time until I was fed up and had to get up and walk over to bar and ask for the machine to pay so I can go home. The server starting giving me sass and saying sorry I was serving other people it’s not like I was outside smoking cigarettes.:/

Even one single star is too generous because its for the wine which is the ONLY experience that they cannot desecrate that easily. However, one would find it hard to enjoy the wine given the overbearing, exasperating ambience of the place. Paris Paris does an incredible job at launching a sensory assault every step of the way with that deafening music and a mediocre farce masquerading as a food menu. The staff seemed accommodating and friendly but it got overshadowed by a management system which was simply shiftless. My partner and I could hardly enjoy each others company, so we twiddled our thumbs, did our own thing, till we paid the hilariously overpriced bill and went out to get some real food. What a pretentious hack of a place!

Nice, neutral vibes. The menu is small, but varied, and every dish we tried was very good.
The white wine we were recommended by our waitress the (Métiss 2018) was nice and olive-y.
Please, try the shrimp. And the burrata is totally worth it.

I don't judge any restaurant for their poor service right now. They are entirely new staff getting used to new protocols so every restaurant has bumpy service right now.
Our server did get our drink order wrong once, and an item of food wrong too but she was very gracious about it, and was attentive the whole night.
However, it may make the servers life easier if the music wasn't blasting out so loudly they can't hear their customers well.
The restaurant must be breaking capacity limits because we were jammed in together. The place was packed! Which, great for the restaurant but there's still a pandemic. Lines for the washroom, I felt I was so close to everyone I was eavesdropping on our neighbour's conversations, I was close enough to smell the food on their plate, which smelt delicious.
The food was great, not overly salty like other reviews said. I still wouldn't go back because the atmosphere was a built like a sports game

The worst service I have ever received in Toronto from the minute we walked in and spoke to the hosts, to the rude, sassy and condescending servers. After an hour of waiting to order, we had to ask a server from a different table to order, who responded that we needed to wait for our own server. The food was great, so it was unfortunate we had a terrible experience with the service.
19 November 2021 19:18
Vibe was great but service was okay. Apps took a little long to come considering the size of portion served. A bit over priced but again I think they’re trying to sell the vibe of the place more then quality of food/apps. Spot is overrated imo

Paris Paris was somewhere I was so excited to finally go and it was horrible. We left after being ignored and made to feel invisible for 20+ minutes. I highly recommend going to one of the other amazing wine bars on Ossington/Dundas/Queen. Hell go literally anywhere else because most places are happy to have customers vs this entitled and elitist bar.

I was looking forward to trying this as I've been to some great French restaurants in Toronto.
The service was only alright. The overall atmosphere of the indoors was nothing super interesting. The 3 dished we tried were not bad but they were only average. The prices did not reflect the experience.

TLDR: Just a mediocre experience but priced as an exceptional experience

Sat here for 40 minutes with just one drink waiting on food and the waitress totally forgot to put in our order for the whole time. She finally came to check in on us and asked if we wanted to order and we told her we’re running late so we’re gonna get the receipt. She didn’t apologize or even offer to comp a drink or whatnot. Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Seems like all the white women all around us at other tables were not forgotten the whole time.
