This place has really gone downhill. For the past month I have been told they "don't have any doctors". No appointments, no walk-ins. What kind of doctor's office doesn't have any doctors?

This is no more a good place to go to right now. It was a good place in the past when I remember the doctors were different. Now its all Al-habibi dr's and they have made a mess of this place. I got bit by a cat and dr gave me medicine and said my appointment for tentnus injection is on wednesdaay.but he kept repeating if you get it somewhere else please go. I was like why would I go some other place when I took appointment here. Then I got an appointment on tuesday and dr said he is going on vacation on wednesday please go somewhere else.: (

Update 2022: they no longer have family doctors there and didn’t update me so I have been having issues getting my medication. Some of the doctors are quite rude and the office seems disorganized. Hard to get documents or anything done with forms. The front desk is very nice but the way I’ve been shuffled around just irks me. Good for a walk in I guess.

Wonderful doctor's office. Best experience I've had in Toronto.

I was told that the doctor will call me from 10: 30 to 11 today. I understand that doctors are busy but it's not like people can wait for a phone call all day. I could have gotten another clinic in the time that I was waiting for a call. When I called back the clinic to ask the receptionist why nobody was calling me the receptionist was in a hurry to hang up saying that I need to answer a call. When I wasn't finished asking her questions. I know this clinic is free but they need to do better. Receptionists need to keep in their mind that patients are the reason why they have a job to begin with. They could have used some patience

About 4 years ago, clinic was a good experecience. Bit lately its taken a turn.
I've seen 2 different receptionist and both barely make eye contact when talking to you. When interacting with them they seem to very CLEARLY hate their job and don't want to be there.
I've seen 2 different doctors and it's the same. They seem to rush and not care to ask follow up questions.
If you need to go to this clinic make sure you speak up for yourself and be assertive with your questions/concerns, especially if you are QPOC or a POC.

Have called 3 times today no one answered even though the sign on their door and their website both say they are open. I also tried to book a virtual appointment through their website and no one has called me back either.

Tip: skip this clinic and head to Prime Medical Centre down the street! You won’t regret it! Before covid this clinic was extremely reliable. However I have to share my experience to warn others of dangerous practices.

I scheduled an appointment with the clinic only to find out they only do telephone appointment to screen the patients first. I was calling regarding an ulcer in my mouth, it was getting worse, I wanted to get a swab to make sure it isn’t infected with bacteria or a virus. The doctor called me (late) and the very first thing he asked me was if I thought it was a virus or bacterial infection. How on earth would I know that? That’s why I’m trying to see the doctor. He then decided it was likely Mono, which is a virus, so sent me a requisition for bloodwork. He also prescribed me a course of antibiotics. All of this without even seeing a photo of my condition, never mind a swab. For those who aren’t aware, Mono is a viral infection in which antibiotics are useless. Furthermore, any doctor knows that prescribing antibiotics recklessly can lead to worse infections down the line due to ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE, which is a global health crisis. To top it all off, keep in mind this clinic gets to bill these sketchy phone calls to OHIP as patient visits, even when providing potentially dangerous and sub-optimal “care”.

So finally at the end of the call he asked to see photos, but wouldn’t be able to look at them until the following day. He told me the staff would call me after he hung up to provide me an email. No one called. I had to email 3 different addresses before I even got a response the next day (today). This morning the doctor called me and said he looked at my photos and didn’t think it was mono anymore, but to take the antibiotic anyway. I asked if he could at least swab the area to be sure, but stated that it was impossible to get throat swabs due to covid-19, and if I wanted this type of care I would have to go to the ER. Thankfully I didn’t listen to him whatsoever, as to not burden the emergency department for such a trivial matter.

I found optimal care at a walk-in just down the street, at Prime Medical Centre on Abell street. The attention to care was NIGHT AND DAY. I was able to book a walk-in appointment, did not wait more than a minute to see a doctor, who gave me a swab without an issue. He also was dubious that I needed antibiotics. They took care of me in minutes while Health Care Plus wasted nearly two full days of my time. Never again!

Since I came to Canada 2 years 6 months ago, this the clinic I have been visiting but to get them on phone is the worst of all. Since last week Sunday I booked an appointment and they never call me. I tried multiple times to reach them but no one is answering my calls.
It's terrible and I think the management of the clinic have to improve on their services to the public. It's very very disgusting you kept calling for a week no one takes your call.

While the doctor I spoke to over the phone was great, the clinic suffers due to horrible receptionist work.

I called last week to book myself and my daughter (who is too young to see a doctor by herself) an appointment. So we scheduled our call appointment and our in-person appointment and everything was fine. They even told me I could send photos and such ahead of time via e-mail to make the calls go smoother. I sent 1 e-mail for myself and 1 e-mail for my daughter, just so that everything is sorted properly and they don't mistakenly put photos in the wrong files.

They scheduled our initial phone appointment for Monday the 15th at 10am. I didn't think anything of the holiday, honestly. Many walk-ins are open on holidays. So, naturally, I slept through the call at 10am on Sunday. It wasn't until I checked my voicemail later that I found out they were actually closed on Monday and trying to get calls done. So that was strike 1 for poor reception.

Appointment day comes around and I get a call from a private name, private number a full hour before my scheduled phone appointment. Like most people, I don't pick up calls with no information attached. I call the office back after checking my voicemail, and reception says that sometimes that happens if prior clients don't pick up, they move on to the next. This is not okay. We have agreed upon scheduled appointments for a reason. Keep to them.

At 1230 a doctor finally calls back, but it's a different doctor. Through this doctor (who was fabulous, by the way) I find out that reception scheduled me and my daughter for the same timeslot, but with different doctors for both phone and in-person appointments. I also find out that the e-mails I was told I could send and they would reach the doctor, did not actually reach the doctors. So I had to spend time going over all that information over again.

Something came up between our call and our in-person appointment and I had to cancel. I called and told the receptionist we wouldn't be making it. They asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said "I don't know. " I was tired and didn't have a calendar at the ready, and I figured I'd call back if/when I was ready to move ahead with rescheduling. 15 minutes later they call back to "confirm cancellation. " Why? I literally just spoke to you on the phone to cancel.

At this point, I don't know if I will call back to reschedule. To say the receptionist doesn't know what they're doing is an understatement, and it might be enough to put me off from the great doctor I was supposed to see.

Scheduled an online appointment, received no call. Almost 3 days later and still nothing. Have called their clinic and the number on the confirmation email and nobody picked up or called back. Can't really rate anything if I can't even reach them.

Would give 0 stars if I could.

Probably one of the filthiest looking clinics I've ever seen. Given the times, you definitely expect a little extra pizzazz when it comes to cleanliness and appearance. Totally not the vibe. The doctors there definitely need to work on their bedside manners too. They take the care out of healthcare.

Had an airsoft bb stuck in my leg and went in to have it removed. Had to book an appointment for later that day. No big deal. But when I got into my appointment the Dr said I was risking infection and had to take antibiotics for a WEEK and get an ultrasound for them to confirm that it was in fact in my leg. Luckily the receptionist reccomended I just go to the Er. Where they took fifteen minutes to pull it out. Asked the Dr's opinion at the hospital and he said that was ridiculous. This walk in will not help you. They wanted to leave the bb In my leg for a week before getting it out.

This clinic is terrible. They are my family doctor but nobody answers my calls during business hours or responds to my messages or even seems to pass my messages along to my Doctor. They do not schedule Telehealth calls, instead if the Doctor ever does get a message they will simply call back at random and if you aren't available to take the call, you will be stuck waiting for weeks to try to connect back with anyone again. Worse than Bell. I was waiting for important test results and they did not even receive them from the lab or tell me that they had not received them from the lab so that I could follow up. The doctor also forgot to sign any of my requisitions leading me to have to spend hours at the lab while they tried to contact the clinic to sort out the incomplete paperwork. I am in the process of looking for a new family doctor as I cannot continue to use this clinic due to their impossible and irresponsible practices.

Wait times are ridiculous. The quality of health care is substandard compared to other clinics I've been to. The doctors have very limited experience and lack empathy and compassion towards their patients. Don't waste your time here!

The doctor I saw didn’t even know how to take an ear temperature- I also had to ask him to take it because he wasn’t going to. I came in for sore throat, lethargic, and fevers absolutely HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW HOW TO TAKE THE TEMPERATURE. Also he swabbed my cheek for a throat culture, first time a doctor didn’t swab the back of my throat for a throat culture. Seriously, the worst doctor I’ve ever been to in my entire life. Also he never introduced himself, well done.

BEWARE FUTURE HEALTH CARE STAFF AND PATIENTS! I have a few physician/nursing colleagues who have had poor experiences here where they weren't compensated for their time and the owner physician would keep the earnings! Also heard very poor follow-up for patients regarding results and appointments, avoid their 3 locations! Very shady people.

Decent enough place to go to in a pinch. I went here when my family doctor was unavailable. Staff are friendly. The doctor I had was decent. The patients waiting were a little on the unpleasant side. A lot of folks looking for arguments with the receptionist

Very impressed with how clean and quick this clinic was. My family doc was on vacation and need to get my medication renewed, booked my appointment online and was seen almost on arrival. Will definitely come back when I need a doc. Hopefully my doc stops taking vacations, jeez we know you guys make good money but c'mon. Glad you guys were open during the holidays. God Bless you guys

I’ve never left a review before, but yesterday’s experience at this clinic warrants a review.i came in with my 1 year old baby last night at around 3: 50,10 minutes before the clinic closed. The receptionist (caroline) did not hesitate to get me in, even though they had to stay after their closing time. The doctor we saw was extremely caring and was very knowledgeable. I quickly set up an appointment to have her as our family doctor.

Walked in, I was estimated an hour and a half wait time. They phoned me when I was near the top of the list. I came back and went right to the back. Doctor was really good too. I recommend it if you need a walk in.

Staff are nice, no issues with the doctors. Wouldn't recommend this place though for anything other than needing a basic prescription though.

Why?

If you need to go get another test (blood, urine, imaging) they won't tell you anything over the phone. They want you to come back in so they can bill for another appointment.

I got an MRI done and was told to call for results, in case it's emergent. Is it kidney stones? Hernia? Do I need an operation?

3 days of calling straight to voicemail. I'm out of the country and can't get any answers until I'm back.

Long story short, I would not call this "healthcare". It's an elaborate OHIP billing scheme.

Walked in today and was seen pretty quickly compared to other walk in clinics. The staff was great and so was the doctor that I saw. They took their time with me and I didn't feel rushed. Was also told that I could book my next appointment online and that would speed up the process even more to see the doctor. Overall great experience and would recommend this place to friends and family.

I went in to this clinic for the first time today a Sunday after going to 2 clinics that were closed. I had chest pain and had a hard time breathing, it felt like there is fluid in my chest. After sharing all of this, I was told they are all going on lunch including the 1 doctor they have on staff. The receptionist attempted to get me seen before they break, but a very rude woman in her 20's came out and told me "what do you expect us to do, the doctor has to eat too". Zero empathy, zero HEALTH CARE, zero professionalism.

The 3 stars go to the fast wait times. Ecspecially if u make an appointment they will take u before everyone else. And also to the very friendly and comforting staff/receptionists. However the doctor that I had was so so. She wasn't terrible. But she also wasn't that kind to me either. She got annoyed by the fact that I may actually know something about my own body. Just very abrupt and rough around the edges - talk down on you kind of person.

Glad to see that there was a walk in open on a Sunday. Called 4 different other clinics and nobody was open. Actually made my appointment online and was seen within 10 minutes of arriving. I do suggest making an appointment online and going. The staff was nice and the doctor was friendly and knowledgeable.

I will be going back again and do recommend this clinic.

One of the better walk-in clinics.

But they need an online check-in system, because I had to wait over 90 minutes. Would be nice to get a text message when my turn is coming up within 15 mintues.

The worst part is they have a TV playing CTV News, broadcasting negative stories into the ears of sick patients. Frankly, the last thing that sick people need is to be inundated by the negative vibes of Toronto gun violence, murders, missing children, and politicial bashing, as well as all the commercials between the news programming.

How about some relaxing Smooth Jazz music instead. And maybe some free WiFi, plants, artwork, and better lighting to make the environment feel more comfortable. But definitely start by turning off CTV News.

Clinic closes at 5pm. Got there at 4: 20pm. Doctor decided he is not accepting other patients. Even though there were only 3 people in the waiting room. Receptionist was incredibly rude. Asked to speak to the Doctor, he was rude, un empathetic and careless. Not what you want from a doctor! My recommendation, do not bother. Go to another clinic!

Best walk in clinic I've ever been to. The staff are really friendly and caring, even with a waiting room full of people on a Monday morning. After a brief wait in their pleasant waiting area, I was called in to see the Doctor. Dr. Khanna is a wonderful listener and very sympathetic. I was in and out in a few minutes, and best of all was able to fill my prescription on-site. Would highly recommend this clinic to anyone on the Parkdale neighbourhood. They are wonderful!

We absolutely love this clinic. Everyone is very professionals do friendly. The doctor that helped us was very knowledgeable and understanding. The wait time was good only waited a few minutes and it was our turn. Overall great experience and will defiantly go again!

The few times I've dropped by this clinic, I've always had a pleasant experience. The staff and doctors are super friendly and listen to your problems. Wait times are as expected anywhere else so making an appointment is helpful.

I’ve been to this clinic multiple times since they’ve opened. At first I really liked it and was happy a good clinic had opened up so close to home. I was even more happy when they opened up a pharmacy within the clinic and always used it for my prescriptions. However, over time the clinic has quickly declined. The last few times I’ve been there my experience has been poor but this last time takes the cake. The doctor would barely listen to a thing I said and kept interrupting me when I tried to explain the situation. He asked me why I wasn’t at my family doctor and I had to tell him because she’s on vacation for the next few weeks. He told me he couldn’t see what I was talking about and that he hadn’t brought his bifocals with him that day. I kept trying to point out the areas where the fungal infection was but he just kept repeating he didn’t see anything. I started to feel like I was crazy! He asked me why it even concerned me because he couldn’t see anything. It concerns me because it’s a fungal infection that’s spreading and I at least need more cream for it. He told me it wasn’t a fungal infection (my family doctor already confirmed that’s what it was) and sent me on my way with nothing. Not even a suggestion of what it could be if it’s not a fungal infection or anything I could do. I wasted close to a hour waiting there and left extremely frustrated and defeated. I came home, looked in the mirror and sure enough the spots were there! Even got my boyfriend to confirm he could see the spots so I knew I wasn’t losing my mind. Terrible visit and will be sure to never go back again!

Receptionist (white gal, black hair and long nails) is very rude and unprofessional.

Many of the positive reviews are spiteful toward people who have this opinion, which is a huge red flag for a fake review. I’m not sure I was “impossible to please” when that woman barely had a pulse or personality. I’d get rid of her. She’s not happy there.

The doctor was very kind and professional.
