Parks & Rec Gastropub Sports Bar

Isn't even worth the 1 star. Went here for dinner and left hungry two hours later. We ordered our apps which took 40 mins and we received our nachos without the pork, after which our server told us we ordered it wrong. We gave her the benefit of the doubt and decided to order our mains immediately as they took so long. We watched people come in after us and leave well before but we hadn't received our food.

Nearly an hour later we had to ask another employee to flag our server and when she came around we told her we had been there for 2 hours and would like to close out and leave, she responded saying "it's been 1 hour" assuming we meant since we ordered, as though thats not too long of a time. She left telling us the food will only be two minutes but we asked for the bill before she left.

She brought the bill around another 10 minutes later, without any food, which we wanted to cancel by this point anyway. We paid $160 for a drink, appetizers that were incorrect, and food to take home (which tasted undercooked and rushed).

I've never reviewed a restaurant before and tried to be as polite as possible while there, but after this experience I felt the need to say something about it. If people ask me for recommendations around here I will definitely say to avoid this place.

If I could give it a 0, I would! Brought my dad here for an early birthday treat but horrible mistake. We got there on a Saturday at 6: 50, ordered 2 apps and a round of drinks. 40 mins later, we only had one of the apps on the table (apparently it takes more than an hour for nachos). At that point we really should have just left but instead thought to order our mains since it was taking the kitchen so long. By 9, we had eaten our appetizers and were still waiting on the main course (1.5hrs!), at which point I’d asked the server (who barely made it back to our table) to cancel the food and bring us the bill as we were already well passed our dinner time. She told us the food will only be another 2 minutes and that she can pack it to go and left (we assumed to bring our cheque). 10 minutes later, I asked a different server to cancel the food order AGAIN, because it was well passed an acceptable time! She flagged down our server for us who brought us the bill -sans food! Apparently the kitchen was packing our food now! All in all, we left having eaten some wings and nachos and out $165 with packed up food that we’re not going to be eating. Such a scam.

We booked our staff Christmas party in the Pavilion and we were very impressed with the attention to detail, our own bar and most importantly the food! Everyone enjoyed themselves and the cheese cake was a big hit for dessert! Everyone complimented Natalie and the chef for such a wonderful job! Natalie is amazing and very easy to work with! You can't go wrong with Parks & Rec - they have something for everyone! We will definitely book here again.

Waited. 1.5 hours in an empty restaurant for our food. We ordered full size Mac and cheese they gave us the kids size we told them. The kitchen simply dumped the kids onto the bigger plate and brought it back out to us. All in all won’t make a return trip.
Half the table was finished eating before the rest of the table got there food.food came in freezing cold after over an hour

The menu on the website isnt the menu we got. Paid 60$ for three aps that were nasty. I wanted the lamb (main) and wasnt available. Terrible service. Should have realized when no one was there on a sunday and left. If your looking for a place in windsor please take this advice and stay far away. (Mothers day was quite the let down).

Server is fantastic. Somehow I almost always end up with the same one! But even on the odd occasion we have someone different they're still fantastic. Great place, great atmosphere and great food. Highly recommend. I keep going back!

Great Sports Bar. They have great food, fair price$ better than many other places. Very cool place to watch any sports game, play board games, pool table or just come and chill. All the workers are friendly and helpful big time. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Service was terribleeeeee.my waiter was so annoyed to take my order.the wait for the food was so long and so slow my mom whooped me for being out for so long.the wait was not worth it.the poutine was sooooo salty its health concerning

Ordered food and just got forgotten about, waited in parking lot for an hour when I got told 20 mins and then they said my food was never ordered

I had been to Parks and Rec before with a group social and it was great however I returned and was thoroughly disappointed. I have never had such horrible customer service but the food was good. The service was extremely slow. If asked for anything extra such as condiments it seemed like a hassle. We were not even given utensils. We were never checked up on. Unfortunately I was very disappointed as I had looked forward to returning. I won't be returning in the future after this experience.

The restaurant experience was great, i just wish when they saw a person in a wheelchair they would let us know where the handyaccessable bathroom was, my wife had a tumble in there and came out quite brused. The meal was good and service great just commutation about handyaccessable bathroom was lacking.

Live in the area, love having a bar/restaurant so close to home. The atmosphere of this place is great, as is the patio. The service has always been satisfactory. However, the food is so disappointing. They used to have awesome wings here and a nice full menu. The menu these days is confusing at best. It's a shame bc this place could be awesome. Half surprised they're still open

First time being there. Went for a surprise birthday party. The server took care of everyone with a smile. Enjoyed the evening with some dear friends, the birthday gal and her family. Was a really great night.

This was a great place to visit with a group of friends. The food was great! Drinks were good. We will definitely all return again soon.

Way overpriced for what you get. The food is average, Certainly not living up to the price tag. Service was poor. Not once was offered a refill or asked how our meal was. They automatically charged a gratuity as well. Sorry but "I" decide if and how much of a tip my server earned. Any place that automatically assumes they earned and deserve that tip is a place that will never get another dime from me.

WARNING! Do no eat here if you want an edible meal. ZERO STARS! How does a so called bar manage to royally screw up nachos and wings? Wings were soggy and cold and nachos were dry as cardboard. Asked for sour cream and salsa to help swallow the nachos and was told they only have pico which was an up charge. Btw the nachos were $23 plus $4 for sour cream and a little cup of diced tomatoes. Literally the worst plate of nachos I’ve ever had. Wings were $30 for 2 lbs of cooked yesterday and reheated in the microwave wings. Stay away from this place!

If you're here for a good time at a pub with spectacular and timely service with your buddies, great. Enjoy!

If you expect edible food, I don't know, it's a miss for us. How can we enjoy a good time if I can't chew through the dried wings that looked like they were frozen, fried, then sat around for a few hours, then reheated?
Soggy exterior, chewy interior. I wish I was joking but 7/11 wings and frozen grocery store wings are doubly crispier and juicier.

The nachos were cold and solid dry by the time it got to us (which wasn't a long wait). So what happened? Were they made an hour ago and left sitting for the next order or overbaked or what? Please taste your own food chefs.

This place is the best. It has everything from game's to the Best food.

Parks is prolly one of my favorite places to go the food has always been good and the drinks are the right price! But the reason why me and my girlfriend go back so often is because this one server "ALEX" with the blonde hair and braids she is how a server should be she remembers us makes us feel like we are at home very polite and just all around good energy.i'm sure the rest of the servers are great but every time we will call and ask for alex because she makes the dining experience.one thing we do miss is the old mac and cheese with the yellow sauce it was to die for.but thank you alex for making us feel welcome and loved when we come into Parks <3 cheers from, Mike N Brooke

I can not recommend this restaurant enough. After a Skip the Dishes mishap, Alex and Deanna went ABOVE and beyond to get my order to me. I have never experienced such customer service. The owners should definitely feel proud having these two ladies on their staff. Food was delicious. We will be repeat customers for years to come. Thank you!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our first experience a few days ago so much that we came back for more.

We got the braised beef short ribs, Mac&cheese and pork ribs. The short ribs and ribs were both really tender; ribs fell off the bone. The mac&cheese was subpar especially for the price ($15), I would not recommend. Our other meals were great though and would recommend both.

"ARE YOU NEW HERE? ! KITCHEN IS CLOSED AND LAST CALL IS IN 15 MINUTES! " Is how my friend and I were kindly greeted last night by the waitress after we popped in 40 minutes before close to see if we could grab a beer.

Never had a bad dish so long as I've gone. I had the duck on Saturday and it was so juicy and delicious. Waitresses are awesome as well. We eat there probably once a month. Support local

As stated, the prices are a tad high, but the food is good and nice healthy portions. I really liked their fries too. Would recommend for sure.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good drink selection, and lots of board games to play with friends! Menu is a bit limited and the food is not very original, but tasty nonetheless. I've been multiple times.

Covid update: large, covered and lit patio to accommodate outdoor dining. Call ahead for reservations. Menu is limited from what's on the website, but great food and service!

Great local pub with a great patio. Covid what? This is the place to forget all the drama in the world. Smaller end of the world menu but the food is great and the drinks are served quick and with lots of options. Call ahead late night and ask for a table before you arrive and skip the wait ;)

Tad more expensive for lunch pricing than I was expecting, but made up for it was stellar service and the food WAS amazing!

Just went there for a birthday party Server seemed to be overwhelmed! Food came out late. Nachos were disgusting, dry and falvourless. Wings were over cooked. We were served veggies that looked expired. I would not go to this place again.

Nice atmosphere.great food and fun. Pool tables and board games. Great table set up for big groups. Separate room for booking private events. Patio in warmer months.

I've been here multiple times with work and also with friends. Very nice selection of alcohol and cocktails. Also great fantastic waitresses and waiters. If you're in the area you definitely have to check out parks and rec. Fantastic food, amazing desserts with a great atmosphere. What more can you ask for.

Great place to grab some food and hangout! They have a wide variety of board games which you can play well you eat/drink. Servers were great and the food was delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Not super impressed with the food offerings compared with the price charged.
There is a gluten friendly bun, but as tasty as it is, it is half the size of a regular gluten burger. The fries have been changed to wheat flour dusted fries, so are no longer gluten free. They were out of stock on a number of items, so that did not look good for the management of the restaurant.
I would say that they need to revisit their menu. There should be more choices available to meet requirements of the customers, where possible.
We were told there was no room for us at first, (group of 9), but thankfully we had made reservations. The tables around us did not fill up during our time there, so there would have been room for us, regardless. Not so impressed.

We went for 241 wings. The wings were great. There's a nice selection of beer on tap. We played some pool while we waited for the food. There are also many board games available to play. I highly recommend it.

First time going there, and it will NOT be my last. The place is extremely clean and the staff actually indulge in conversation with you. Very family oriented.

The lighting is INTENSE. Food and cocktails are great! Lots of space to sit. Adorable patio area. It’s definitely a sports bar! So many TVs, but still enjoyable if you aren’t a sports enthusiast.

If you like undercooked halibut that is served to you twice in one visit then this is the place to go. To top it off you have to wait over 20 minutes for them to find a debit machine to cash you out. Don't waste your money folks this place is poorly managed.

Huge location, great staff! Consistently good food, and great specials. Lots of fun things to do like trivia, board games, paint nights, beer yoga, etc.

I've been here a handful of times over the span of the last few years. Everytime I come it takes at least 30 minutes for a waitress just to take drink orders and the food is only sub par.

Good food and fantastic service. Food was fresh with very little corner-cutting. Nice atmosphere and relaxing decor. Brilliant selection of beer with craft and classic breweries well represented.
