This review is solely for people that want to shop at this Metro.
Their produce quality is absolutely horrible. I went in to buy strawberries that were on sale every package I looked at was beyond sell date and I went on the first day of the sale. I tried to buy yellow peppers they were old and wrinkled past the sell date everyone I looked at.
My cousin lives in the area told me she never shops at that location and I see why. I have never seen a Metro with such poor quality produce I happened to be in that plaza for another reason which was my main reason for being there.
The location at Kennedy Commons and Eglinton far exceeds this store by miles.
I am glad that I don't live in that area that said if I did I would try out Food Basics which I believe is much better.
Please fix your mall hours how does the mall stays open till 9 but all the stores inside close by 8. It’s confusing because the other day was headed to the mall and searched the mall hours will still at home and saw it’s open till 9. Got to the mall by 8: 20 and everything was closed. If every store is gonna close by 8 then just close the mall at 8. It was a waste of me driving over.
Despite its small size, this mall offers a diverse range of retail stores and dining options. With the exception of peak school break times and end-of-day rushes, the mall tends to be relatively quiet. Additionally, the mall is well-kept and provides ample parking space for visitors.
Grew up with this mall and got my teeth done at a place near here as a wee toddler.i always thought it was so funny when they have fish tanks at dentists waiting rooms.my dentist had a really funny one and the fish would look at me sometimes.the days they chose to look at me always ended up being amazing days.my childhood was great
Ideally located at the busy Victoria Park and Ellesmere intersection, on the east side of Toronto, is First Capital’s Parkway Mall. Featuring a strong tenant mix of over 95 retailers, Parkway Mall acts as a neighbourhood shopping destination for Scarborough residents. In 2019, this 300,000 sf enclosed centre completed a major redevelopment, giving it a refreshed look and feel to better serve the Scarborough community With over 130,000 households and a population density of over 353,000 in a 5km radius, this retail centre is perfectly positioned to service the well-established households surrounding it.
This place is very good! They have everything organized, there is a part of the mall that is full of restaurants like pizza, Chinese food, drinks, and lots more, there is also a spot for like toys for young kids, and the bathroom is nice and tidy. And there is also a bowling area! How cool is that! I definitely recommend it!
I love to see the familiar faces the scenery and new restaurants that have turned in after the renovations. There is lots of vegan vegetarian options as well too. Mental health I could say is not an issue in that area as I could see even some are happy and quiet I wish more was done and just having a nice scenery helps. I see they changed it on the story is to make it more functional and were people flock to for different items. There’s no Fairview Mall Scarborough town centre or you have to but it is the essentials and it’s a plays people go to if they need items like food groceries electronics and they specialize in certain things that people flock to there… health stuff medicines warehouse deals for family’s and more.
I live close by and everything is great! Good food to grab a bite, like gabbys, wild wings and more. Than we have metro, a quick grocery shop and other stores near by. Disappointed with the hours though! Would be nice if they open a bit later!
The mall is really convenient for everything. Has most of the needed things & stuffs. Has Staples, Shoppers, Dollarama & good restaurants like Gabby's and much more.
So my biggest issue with this mall is the hours. 7pm on a weekday is absolutely ridiculous. It used to be open until 9pm on weekdays, 6pm on Saturday, and 5pm on Sunday. Not sure who's making up these hours, but it's probably costing them business from the people who need things after work. Definitely an inconvenience for my family.
I wrote an email to the Management Office 5 working days ago to explain/complain about my bad experience at their site. No answer. This is how long term, every day customers are treated. Ignored.
I sent the email to Lisa Sturrock, Property Administrator, Yabin Chen, Property Administrator and Nadia Ieraci, Senior Property Manager.
This is what I wrote:
"My husband and I had a very unpleasant experience at your property yesterday.
First of all, note that we have been living in the neighbourhood for a great number of years and we do almost all our shopping at your mall - therefore, we are loyal customers who leave a lot of money there.
Yesterday evening, April 3, we bought Coke at McDonalds there at 9: 40 pm and we were sitting in the parking lot facing Pharmacy Avenue, drinking and chatting. At 9: 50pm, the security guard approached us and, very rudely, told us to leave. He treated us like criminals. My husband tried to reason with him, to no avail. He threatened to call the police, left and was on the phone immediately. We left.
We are both highly educated, family people in our 50s. We have been enjoying our McDonalds treats for a year the same way, same time. We never had any problems before.
That was a very unpleasant experience, that made me feel not only uncomfortable, and unwelcome in my own neighbourhood, but also threatened. It felt like the police state, curfew, military regime.
Is this how Parkview Mall treats its loyal customers? LIke common criminals? It's absolutely outrageous. "
Now, whether the complaint is valid or not, is irrelevant at this point. I, as a customer, was ignored. And customers are the basis for the Mall's survival.
I see there is a person here in charge of responding mostly to good reviews. Way to go! Btw, I do not need your public and official response.
It’s a shopping centre that recently completed a facelift both of the interior and exterior. I frequent the many businesses located here.
The Metro is considered one of the best in Scarborough. Love the TD Canada Trust branch and Gabby’s Restaurant. Lots of selection at the LCBO and you have to try a Banana Split Sundae at Marble Slab Creamery.
Can’t find that odd hardware item? Head to Bailey’s Home Hardware inside the mall or even venture into Dollarama.
Refresh yourself with something from Real Fruit Bubble Tea, CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice or Healthy Planet (or even Tim Hortons, McDonald’s).
What is the point of a mall opening up at 11am. I was there Friday morning, approximately 10am. People are up and about trying to do their shopping. I turned around and left. Will never be back, with those ridiculous hours.
