Beautiful gardens. Get Reservations for the tea room and order your tickets in advance for the home tour. It's busy.

Beautiful Grounds that seem to go on and on, very nice architectures. My kids and I had a very good day walking about and snapping photos. The grounds are free to explore. Tours are to be booked in advance for a fee. Highly recommend!

Did the Autobaron tour today with my Mom who had lived in Oshawa for most of her life without ever having visited Parkwood. We were both intrigued by the mansion and rooms within. Our tour guide Zoe was excellent, very Informative and friendly.
We followed the tour with lunch in the tea house which was also a delight.

Parkwood National Historic Site is a great place allow visitor to know more about the livelihood of Oshawa people in the previous ages. Tour guide Danielle did a great touring during the Basement Tour which enabled me to learn more knowledge of exhibits in the basement.

This is where Billy Madison and XMen were filmed! Always enjoy this place, and amazing spots for weddings, photos, or just to view the grounds. To see inside the house, you kust pay

Its a great location to shoot pre weddings.we shot couple of E-shoots here this year. They overbook sometimes as there were 4 other photographers shooting at same time. But its a great location none the less. You can make sure with them its not crowded before confirming the booking.

Very classic garden setup, very clean and quiet, comfortable to walk around and is free.
Book the restaurant to enjoy the view, its worth it.

I've done many tours of this estate and am always fascinated by the history behind it. I'll be back for more!

This place is a gem. From the estates stunning architecture and design to the gardens with pools, ponds, fountains, seating areas like gazebos… Parkwood is a fabulous national historical site worth exploring. Sign up for a tour of the inside of the estate and learn more about the autobaron Col Sam McLaughlin who help establish General Motors in Canada and globally During the mid 1900’s. Be sure to book tours in advance and look for special tours offered such as basement, second or third floors at different times of year.
Alternatively, walk the grounds and enjoy endless breathtaking backdrops and light lunch or tea at The tea room.
Took my 10 and 12 year old to walk the grounds and gift shop gave us scavenger hunt cards which we traded in for stickers when completed. We’ve been back since with 6 year old and wife as well for ground floor and basement tours. Both super interesting if you’re into history, architecture or

A beautiful garden to walk through, so many varieties of flowers, plants and trees. Very picturesque. No wonder I saw a few couples there taking wedding and engagement photos. Check website to make sure they are not closed for filming before going.

Beautiful place for photoshoot! There is plenty of free parking inside, no ticket is required to enter.the place closes sharp 5.

We did a paint night at Parkwood with Jazzmatazzart and had a great time. Hope to have another class with her. She was so kind and patient.

I have been here twice for the lunch and enjoyed it both the times. Service is a bit slow but the view and scenery is perfect to relax at. I would recommend it! The flowers and garden is maintained very well and could spend a few hours here.

I had my pre wedding shoot at this location. The location is beautiful however the security at the location is horrible! They would not let my photographers and I breath! They literally were standing right next to my photographer and wouldn’t let them move or do their work. Very unprofessional staff!

Such a cool trip into the history of Oshawa and the McLaughlin family. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Very rude and racist staff and security guard. I've booked a photography session for my wedding (one hour indoor and an hour outdoor) the guard made us feel so uncomfortable and didn't give us any privacy to pose for our pictures properly inside the location and Susan gave us a hard time and such an attitude from the beginning to the end of our experience. Such a beautiful space with such management and staff is not worth spending a second of your day to capture the most important moment of your life. We absolutely don't recommend going there at all.

Great menu, price is decent.
Good resto to visit and have a chill fine dine outdoor experience.

Took a Friday afternoon to tour the house (Auto Baron Tour), wander the gardens and have lunch at the Tea House. Five stars all the way round. House tour was fascinating and well lead, grounds and gardens are spectacular, lunch was fabulous. Well worth the trip!

Access to the mansion requires a paid guided tour. Due to time constraints, we were not able to do so but we enjoyed roaming the magnificent gardens which is completely free. If you have the time, I would probably do the guided tour. Limited free parking available.

I went to Parkwood for a first-time tour of the main level of the estate. The outdoor garden was beautiful. Elizabeth went above and beyond when there was an issue with my booked tour. She really took the time to address the issue and wan great with my kids. Geoffrey was a great tour guide and explained everything well. We had a great time and will be back for the upstairs tour.
