I usually don’t give out 5 stars but this place deserves it. Absolutely the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in Ottawa. Everything tasted so great and so flavourful. I had the traditional rare beef Pho. The soup was so tasty, the vegetable and beef were so fresh. I especially like the service they offer here; nicest staff and kindest owner. Amazing atmosphere and design of the restaurant.

I will definitely return to try everything else and will also bring my friends here.

In terms of Vietnamese noodles, the only thing I am concerned about is whether I get thirsty after the meal. I gave it a 4 star because I don't feel thirsty at all after the meal. The service is great, the food met my standard and also good environment. It could be busy at dinner time, even though the restaurant is quite big, there might be a little wait time if you get there after 7pm.

A nice, cozy, yet casual dining experience. The place is tastefully decorated. The staff give good service and the food is very good. We had BBQ pork Udon noodles and the shrimp and bbq pork wonton soup. Both were excellent with subtle flavors that you would expect from this style of cuisine. The spring rolls were hot and fresh. Great value for a nice night out without breaking the bank.

This was my second time not ordering off of Skip the Dishes and just walking into the restaurant. My order was forgotten (pho) but once they realized it was made ASAP. It was hot and delicious and I will continue trying items at the restaurant because it's delicious

Interior decor looks amazing, food was plain. My daughter had a bánh mì and it was served on a white plate with no garnish or anything. I had their phở and it was literally some noodles, broth, a small portion of meat (they slice the beef balls to make it look like there's more in there) and one slice of onion cut in 4 for $17. We both agreed that the food tasted pretty plain. Service was good. I might come back for a quick drink just because of the decor (I really liked it) but, meh.

Had an amazing dinner here! A group of us really wanted Vietnamese food and were thrilled to find such a lovely place downtown. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food was delicious. Our biggest mistake was not taking any pictures. We will definitely be back.

Ordered delivery through Uber eats. We chose this restaurant because it advertised a 25-40 minute delivery window, and we were hungry. Unfortunately, the food didn't even get picked up until 55 minutes after ordering. We had a vermicelli bowl, which was okay, but extremely underwhelming. Very small portion. We also ordered a Bahn Mi, which was the most awful thing I've ever eaten. The bun was way, way past its prime. It was so stale it was like trying to chew jerky. The meat was fine, and had a good flavour, but then the cilantro it was topped with was the entire stemmy length of the plant. Very disappointing experience.

Me and my girlfriend went here for dinner and we immediately found it odd when my dish came 10+ minutes before hers did. I ordered chicken fried rice, which was decent, and my girlfriend ordered chicken pad thai, which was extremely sweet.

In the middle of eating, she found a piece of plastic (as pictured) that clearly had a right angle as well as a jagged edge. After letting staff know, they took the piece of plastic away and came back with a un-cooked rice noodle, and told us that what we had found was an un-cooked rice noodle. This could not have been true as the plastic was completely clear as opposed to an opaque rice noodle, and because of the right angle and jagged edge pictured.

Also pictured are two hairs plastered onto the bottom of my plate, meaning it must have been a cook's since the hairs were found under all the food.

At the end of our evening at Parlé we were given a free soda each as compensation.

This small gesture on top of attempting to lie to us so egregiously was extremely inappropriate, in my opinion.

The usual Vietnamese standards, well prepared and tasty. The vermicellis are particularly Generous in portion and delicious. Service is okay although I missed the usual pot of cheap tea with the meal. Atmosphere is okay, but felt a bit sparse. Maybe the huge spacing between tables is a Covid thing.

Came for a late night bite. Tom Kha spicy coconut soup might be one of the best things I’ve ever tasted and beef Pho were delicious. Grilled pork rice wraps were also very tasty and fresh. Staff are very friendly. 100% recommend! I’ll be dreaming about the Tom Kha until next time!

Easily the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant.

Walked in with my fiancee and was happy it was not busy (maybe 4 tables). We were sat and brought water. After that, the wait staff refused to acknowledge us.

We sat for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come take our order. Our server grabbed a bowl of pho and proceeded to sit down and eat it.

We got up and walked towards the door, still not being acknowledged by anyone.

My fiancée said thanks for the great service and we left.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We will not be returning, ever.

Admittedly, I was looking forward to trying this spot but I will not give them my business after how bad the service was. How this place has over a 4 star review baffles me. Worst service I've ever had in my life. To the owner; your server who was on tonight Monday, October 31st was terrible and he should be fired. The restaurant was not busy, there were 4 tables (about 14 people) in the restaurant, the waiter came over and dropped off menus and water immediately. However, after waiting 15 minutes with no service he obviously forgot. The best part of it all was instead of coming over to our table, the server got his own food and sat at a table nearby and started eating. Unbelievable! What an absolute waste of time. If you don't want to waste your time, avoid this place and go somewhere else.

Vegetarian options were poor. The sweet and sour tofu was watery and without any flavour. Very lame. The sauce with the spring rolls was the consistency of water.very disappointing. This meal was dire.

Great authentic Vietnamese food served by this cute server wearing a Parle shirt and hat. They had a chill atmosphere and the servers worked together like a family. This is the type of place that is a goto for Viet food downtown and the type of place I would want to work at!

I did take out. I ordered medium size of pho vet fresh special (rare beef/tendon/tripe/brisket) for me. But i asked to make it without tripe. Plus 2 banh mi and 2 egg rolls.
I went to pick up them exact time.
I live nearby so we started to eat within 5 mins after pick up.
But everything was Luke warm. The mediums size Pho was very small (same size as bowl type of instant noodle soup). Because of the temperature of the soup, my rare meat never cooked at all. And I wonder why many chicken pieces were on my pho. (I never eat chicken that’s why I ordered this pho) Soup tastes reminds me pumpkin pie. (maybe spices?)
My family’s Banh mi. We ordered 2 different type of banh mi. The bun was so hard. Size was like 6 inches sub.
2 egg roles weren’t so bad but nothing in special.
2 egg roles, 1 medium size pho, 2 banh mi.total was $51.46 without tax.

Kinda pricy.

I don’t know why reviews are mostly good. It might be better to do eat in.

Sorry but I’ll choose other Vietnamese restaurants.

Lovely Vietnamese restaurant with some vegan options. We have now tried 4 different dishes.
Our dishes arrive less than 10 minutes.
Very delicious. The tofu bites were a bit too big to eat. Interesting "shrimp" & "beef" imitation.

Update from Sunday September 4th:
Only 1 waitress for the whole and full restaurant, with about 3 party waiting to be seated.
35 min wait to take our orders. 20 min later food arrived with the wrong dish.to avoid waiting any further we took the wrong dish.
Manager or owner arrived 1h after we arrived to 'help' (I guess he has been called urgently), he was completely not familiar with the restaurant and seemed lost (even wasting the Waitress time by asking questions for things.).
Lot of people seated left because of the wait.
Also the customers were very kind & patients in such situations.
What a shame to have only 1 Waitress taking care of a busy restaurant on labour day weekend, not fair for her or the customers.
So I had to take 1 star off.

Came to this place for its rating of 4.6. Ordered a satay beef noodle soup, but got one with regular soup with just oil chilli pepper as you can see in the photo. When I asked the waiter, he confirmed that it was satay beef noodle soup. Apparently this restaurant doesn't know what is satay.

New Viet restaurant in Ottawa Market actually they are Viet Fresh on 61 York st, this is their second location in Ottawa, their food so good, trong recommend
Come back here again with family and friends from Toronto last long weekend, they were supper busy, service excellent, noodle pho and pad Thai were amazing

The worst Vietnamese I have ever had.plus 50% more than you would pay elsewhere. Me and my kids eat Vietnamese at least twice a month and across the board all the dishes here were junk. The Pho was flavourless, rest of the items bland and below par.look elsewhere

Shrimp rolls were pretty good (not too sure why they cut them in half though.), but the broth was not great (tasted like chicken bouillon?) and server forgot to bring bean sprouts and basil to our table. Seems to be a spot that is catering to more instagrammers and social media.
