Been coming here for years, until recently. Whenever I need to reach my cardiologist because I have concerns it's quite near impossible to get an appointment and your correspondence often goes unanswered. When I was supposed to get a Holter it didn't even arrive via mail and many months later I get a call to see if I want a follow-up, for what though? Once I went in for a Holter and was told they don't have any right now, even though they were the one who booked that appointment for that exact purpose. So I missed work that day for no reason. So, I switched to a cardiologist downtown whom I can reach by email and who actually responds personally right away and gives me refills without having to make an appointment (mind blown!). The two stars is for your clinic having an email address because getting through on the phones is often impossible, but what's the point when you can't get timely appointments.

Thank you so much for all your contribution and efforts that you do to keep us well (PACE team and management). I really admire all your dedication to your work. Thanks for being an amazing doctors, nurses, sonographers and all staff. Skills can come through practice, but the caring nature of yours can't be gained with any amount of effort.:)

Had many wonderful interactions with the staff today. Samantha’s positivity really stood out to me and made the experience very pleasant.

Let me start off by saying I have never left a review on any business page ever but I feel it is important to share my terrible experience with Pace Cardiology and Dr. Nuri.

I have been dealing with this office for a year now and have yet to have a good experience. Nuri doesn’t seem to care about his patients and I felt like I was more of a number to him than a patient of his. He seems rushed on the phone and every conversation is short lived. I recently had open heart surgery and at no point have I ever met Dr Nuri in person. Everything is over the phone and not very personable at all. You would think if you were a patient of his and going for open heart surgery that he might want to meet in person and chat. Maybe post surgery have another face to face meeting to see how things are going. This was not the case.

Most recently I was told his office would be reaching out within a week to set up a holter monitor post surgery. I waited over two months for this phone call before finally reaching out to them where they seemed to have forgotten to call me to set this up.

Other problems that have occurred during my time with pace cardiology is them not sending over notes to my surgeons office. Their automated phone system stating they get back to you within 1 business day is also false. I have also waited on hold for upwards of 45 minutes.

I am 31 years old and could not imagine dealing with this office and Dr. Nuri for the rest of my life.

Happy thanksgiving.

My Mom is a regular patient of Dr. Khaykin and we are extremely happy with the whole experience. As always her experience with Dr. Khaykin is excellent and she always left his room with a big smile; I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the supportive care given to my Mom by his nurse Sarvenaz. She is very professional, welcoming and her kind smile even behind the mask makes every patient relaxed before visiting the doctor. Her care demonstrating and empathy always appreciated by my Mom.
Loads of thanks to Dr. Khaykin and Sarvenaz

My doctor is Dr Symmes. He is very nice and helpful. But I have very unpleasant experience with receptionist. I did a stent placement in Jan and had a follow up with Dr Symmes. At that time Dr Symmes told me it seems everything is ok and asked me to call to make an appointment if I have chest pain again. I started to have chest pain again in early Sept and It becomes worse now. I made a call to the office, explained my situation to the receptionist. She asked me to talk to my family doctor first. I told her I already checked with my family doctor and he suggested me to see Dr Symmes asap. Then she mentioned she still cannot book an appointment to me because Dr Symmes didn't leave a note to mention he wants to see me. I told her Dr Symmes did mentioned I should see him if I have chest pain again. She insisted she cannot book appointment for me and asked me to talk to my family doctor to do referral again. There might be some rules I don't know. But I think rules are created to help people.not being used as excuse.

Edited: Thanks for your reply. I think you should always think about patients first.not just me, but all. Family doctor said I should see specialist, specialist's receptionist said I should see family doctor.this is not acceptable.

Update:
- It seems I always got bad luck with this clinic.finally I booked an phone appointment with Dr Symmes on 1pm on Sept 30. Yes, today. I decided to take half day off and waited in front of my phone since 12: 50pm, but nobody called me at all.so I decided to call them to see what happened. The receptionist told me my phone is out of service. I asked my family and friends to call me from different locations in GTA and there is no problem at all. I guess the clinic might call the wrong number or forget it at all.frankly speaking, if you forgot, just tell me and I can understand, but please don't play "it is your fault" game. Thanks

- after two hours, The receptionist called my "no service" phone and told me the doctor is actually very busy today and cannot do it. I don't know what to say.

Our experience with the staff was limited but they seemed helpful and kind. The rating reflects our experience with Dr. Thangaroopen. My husband was sent on medical transfer for his appointment as he has been in ICU for 3 out of the 4 last weeks. Dr. Thangaroopen did not even look at him. She looked at one document and said the appointment should never have happened because he is in hospital and therefore she couldn't do anything. This is after waiting 1 hr and 45 min because she was called away for an emergency at the hospital across the street. Her demeanor and tone was cold and clearly unimpressed. When my husband was visibly distressed by her comments she continued to speak in a way that even made the nurse who accompanied us feel uncomfortable. Dr. Thangaroopen was dismissive, cold and lacked any sense of compassion.

I was referred to Dr. Yadav. He works out of three hospitals as well as the States. I saw him in Feb. He told me based on my bloodwork that I had had a heart attack and if I had anymore pain to go to Newmarket hospital. He ordered an angiogram and a echogram and ECG. I was supposed to have a follow up appointment in April, then it was May and then June. I was told that he was in the States. I finally asked for another cardiologist and I now have an appointment for July 9th All of my tests were apparently "normal". I had to call my family Doctor's office for that information and was told by their "Administrative Assistant", in other words office staff. I have a lot of questions and it would have been nice to have some answers in a timely fashion.

Dr. Tristan Nuri, Cardiologist, and his team are exemplary. He took my wife's case on 2 years ago and today saw her for a follow up concerning an issue she was having and uncertain as to cause. He is diligent in his diagnostics, patient carefully explaining your condition and how it is to be managed/ treated. We are so very grateful to Dr. Nuri and Pace Cardiology, Newmarket for giving her back a life with quality.

No star! Did they tell you that your implanted defibrillator only works on 50% of heart attacks? My husband died with the bloody thing not working! My brother in law too. That's just in my immediate family. In my opinion the risks far outweigh the positives. Don't get bamboozled. The doctors are making money, you loose.

The Reception staff are very helpful and always courteous. The technicians are pleasant and considerate of your comfort. The Cardiologist (Dr. Kumar) is always pleasant and considerate towards me. PACE is highly recommended if you ever need to deal with any cardiology issues.

Hello: Sorry Long Story. I am 64 years old and had an Cardiac Ablation done in September 06 2018. It went Ok however I got arterial fib again the morning after the procedure. I actually went back to normal just before they where going to electro cardioversion me the next morning. I went home and in a few days I went back into arterial fib again. I was cardio verted at a local hospital and it went back to norm. That is the Good News so far? They give me a follow up appointment on Sept 06th for December 18 2018, After numerous calls to confirm a couple of months later, they CANCELLED my appointment and said it would be Jan 2019. I still cannot appreciate the fact they made an appointment for me over 3 months out from my procedure and they could not honor it? After many more calls they set up a phone call appointment for me on Jan 16 2019 at 10AM. At 10: 45am I called them because the doctor Did Not call me. They said he was behind in his appointments and would call me early afternoon. NO CALL. In fact I called them again 2 Days later and again they said he would call me that day. NO CALL to date. It is now 5 days later and NO CALL? This is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Our Medical System is Great as long as YOU DO NOT NEED IT. In a normal business small or big we would FIRE these people. If we didn't we would be OUT OF BUSINESS. It is a VERY SAD situation that our medical system can do WHATEVER THEY WANT and there is NO Consequences or liability on them. I hope YOU do not need reasonable help in our Health Care system. HELP?

I cannot say enough about Dr. Atul Verma and his staff. Extremely detailed oriented in his explanations. Support staff very thorough and methodical. Dr. Verma answered all of my questions, took his time and did not rush me in the appointment. The ablation was a success and I no longer require arithmia meds. Now four years since the ablation! No problems! Thanks so much!
