Horrible customer service. I came here to grab balloons for my son's 14th birthday. They told me it would take 15 minutes. I left for 40 minutes and when I returned my balloons were on the counter still. I'm literally inside the store now writing this review. This is the second time I've had issues at this location which has now led me to write this. The staff are lazy and are literally "chilling" in the store doing nothing. Worst location ever

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! I will NEVER be shopping at this store again! The staff is VERY rude, the manager looks like she is 16 and is disgustingly rude to the staff and customers!

Not sure who is running this place, but WOW! Has it ever gone down hill! I will be taking my business elsewhere as this store is always horrendously messy! The staff is careless and seems like they don’t know what they are doing, not to mention they take 30 mins to cash someone out!

Something needs to change around here because it is NOT what it used to be like!
Will NEVER be shopping here again!

Great service.lineup wasn't even that long.but took forever. Need to have separate line for ppl ordering balloons.

Highly disappointed with a balloon kit that I purchased from this store. Very low quality, half the balloons burst even before I could set them on the wall. Now, I’m left with no balloons for the party which is in the evening and have to go balloon shopping at the last minute.

Very calm and helpful works beautiful souls. However I couldn't really find or locate what I was looking for. Tooo crowded a little overwhelmed for a shopper.

Merchandise is good.staff needs to be more friendly and helpful. I know halloween is driving them crazy but thats ur job.

Management really needs to take the pandemic more seriously. For example:

It can take anywhere from five to fifteen minutes per person at the cash due to orders/upsells, so long stagnant lines are inevitable. I'd reccomend they enforce a capacity limit mainly for this reason.

Also, they need to enforce mask mandates more strictly as opposed to letting people do business willy nilly without a mask at all. I know a good portion are vaccinated, but this is a place where people buy stuff for kids. No mask, no service should be a no-brainer.

Stay safe, don't be stupid, and get vaccinated.

Had the best customer service experience at this place. I don't remember her name but it's along the line of Carla I think.she went above and beyond to get my order sorted out.even after my balloon number deflated after leaving.she was gracious enough to get a new one for me and ask me to come by to pick it up for free.my event was a success because of the wonderful service these guys portrayed.

WOW! No words to describe the outstanding service I received today and everytime I visit this party city.
The staff here is amazing and super friendly which makes shopping here much more welcoming! A special shoutout to the AMAZING balloon ladies who never fail to disappoint and always make the balloons look amazing and perfect for any event! Not to mention that they are super helpful with choosing coloured latex and finding balloons to match!
Another shout out to the management team.they are super friendly and always help make the visit even better by keeping their staff on their toes.

It's a little expensive but they have party decorations with all the animated characters you might need.
And it's fun to go there!

Remember to use your Canadian tire credit card for cash back and rewards. Plan ahead as during extra points events a great place to prepare for birthdays or graduation or any special occasion ahead of time. Get ready to be in line for a while as it is mostly understaffed for check out or balloons. But otherwise unique stock of party supplies and you can see the quality of some items as it can be very poor something you can do while ordering on Amazon or another online supplier.

I can understand the stress on workers because of the past year but aren't you happy to be getting back to work?
I walked into this location just after opening time for the day. The store has been allowed to open only 3 weeks ago and man, they seem very frustrated with how busy they are. They are short with customers especially in the balloon department. So I left and decided to support a local small business owner who creates beautiful balloon marquees and arrangements. She was extremely appreciative of my business.

Terrible customer service two children claiming to be adults working there. Blatantly disobeying direct instruction from head office… How these people have jobs is beyond me… But this is a testament to how unemployable people have jobs… If I could give a lower score I would shop somewhere else. Ajax Party City is terrible!

Absolutely terrible customer service. The workers are intentionally rude and have poor attitudes. They antagonized me over the phone as I tried to pick up decorations for my birthday.: (I was respectful and did nothing to deserve this bullying by the staff. Don't come here!

I had absolutely incredible service on the phone for an order issue. I got off work late yesterday and called 15 minutes before closing just to ask if anything could be done. She ended up staying on the phone with me to completely resolve my entire issue, then and there, for 45 minutes past closing. I can’t stress how grateful and wonderful she was, and would 100% bring my business to this location even though I live in Scarborough. Whoever is in charge should definitely reward her for such above and beyond work ethic as she is truly an asset to PartyCity and their reputation.

Terrible customer service at the curbside pick up today. Was the first car to arrive, call was immediately put on hold. As I was on hold, 4 or 5 other cars arrived. All of these cars received their packages before my call was even picked up. I was on hold for over 19 minutes! Had I not already prepaid for my products, I would have driven away. Asked to speak to the manager. The manager apologized, but said that was all they could do. I wonder if this quality of service is something they would like to receive as customers themselves.

One of the worst customer service you will ever experience. Poorly trained employees, racist and 0 respect for customers whatsoever. We wanted gender reveal kit, even after multiple followups over the phone, they screwed up. All they had to do was inflate some ballon and put it in a bag. When we got the kit, package was ripped from bottom and gender colour (balloon colour) was visible. GENDER REVEAL WAS NO LONGER A SURPRISE. On opening the package, 3 out of 8 balloons were already bursted.

Placed online order for balloons and some birthday plates, ordered a birthday banner and it was canceled due to low inventory even though online it said they had it in stock. I was told that I could call anytime to change or edit my order I called to remove my birthday plates and was told I could not have them removed and would have to wait until the lockdown was over to return them. On top of that I was informed when I initially placed my order that I would not be charged until the day that I pick up my order yet I have already been charge for my purchase and I’m not picking my balloons up for another week.
So far I’m not happy with their curbside contactless purchase, definitely think they have many kinks to work out.

Wasn't too bad. Supplies were running low, service was a little bit slow. Overall though it's a good store and the staff was friendly.

What a horribly managed store. So many staff and doesn't know how to prioritize the needs of the customers. Long line up to cash and service, non stop phone calls. The manager nowhere to be seen while team member walking around the store. 0 man management.

Great store with large selection. My only complaint is that consistently the line up to pay is always slow. Been to this location 5+ times and it is always the same scenario. Otherwise, recommended.

Good overall experience, helpful staff although social distancing directions were not being followed.

I've ordered balloons in advance a few times. Always an efficient experience. Managing COVID protecal well too.

Perfect place for all of your party decorations however i find their factory outlet in north york more cheaper

Awful customer service. Staff walked by me so many times yet not one person acknowledged me or offered any help. They didnt even make eye contact or smile. This was the first, and 100% last time I have visited this store.

I ordered 4 balloons to be picked up the following day, after 7pm. It seemed like a simple task to request and the saleslady seemed competent enough. Not the case.
I was told to come back at 7pm the following night with my receipt. Fair enough. My husband and I had plenty to do as we were preparing for my sister's bday, the following day. We show up at 7: 20pm to pick up the balloons and they have lost the order. The girl that was serving us obviously had no problem solving skills whatsoever. She wandered around behind the counter like a lost puppy, as I waited for at least an apology, which I never got from her. With 2 people behind the counter, she had to call for backup as the customer line grew longer and longer. So after having to reorder everything and the time it took to inflate the balloons, (oh yah.one of the balloons I had ordered was now out of stock so I had to choose another one) we were there for close to an hour for an order that should have been ready and waiting. While chatting with other customers in the lineup, they expressed their dissapontment in the lack of urgency and competence in the employees behind the counter. I did finally get a lame apology from the girl inflating the balloons.
There was a fella waiting behind us to pick up his balloons and we gave him a heads up that chances are, they were not ready. They didn't have any balloons behind the counter, ready for pick up.
On a good note, they do have a lot of products and you usually find what you are looking for when shopping at
Party City.except for good customer service.

Great selection of party supplies, decorations and costumes/masks. The items can be really pricey though!

Cheap candy (10 pieces for $1) and lots of things on clearance. One thing that they need to improve on is having more employees at the cash register because sometimes there are really long lines and wait times.

Huge! I mean huge selection of party needs for themed days such as Halloween, St Patrick's day, valentine day, baby showers, birthdays and pretty well all special times and occasions of the year. It has the largest display of balloons I've ever seen. Go on weekdays not as busy as weekends.

Good variety of items and place to get party essentials. Staff are terrible. Tried to get help twice and was basically told to find it myself. Store manager or lady with purple shirt with tattoos (kyle or something) wouldn't even acknowledge customers or try to help them and literally no staff in the aisles. Epect no help and attitude but good products and prices overall.

This place can get pretty crazy on weekends. Waited in line for some helium balloons for longer than I wanted to, but they did a good job and the staff was friendly and seemed to work well with the stress they were clearly under. Go early to avoid long lines!

Too long to check out. Have been to this location twice in the last month both times spent more time in line than shopping. Service is good when you get to the cash.

I have to say that last month I had probably one of the best customer service experiences thus far with Party City in ajax.
It was my daughters second birthday and we had planned for a balloon bouquet pick up right before her party started that Sunday afternoon We requested weights and a bag for the balloons. When we got to the venue we removed the bag outside of the car and unfortunately all the balloons flew away with the wind. We were devastated and saddened that my daughters Moana themed birthday wouldn’t be complete with the balloon decorations but we didn’t have enough time to go back and pick up another batch as it’s as only a 2 hour allotted time slot.

We called and spoke to the manager that evening when we got home his name was Stephen or Steven. And he was the most amazing and supportive manager and he honestly made the rest of our evening so relaxed. He offered to take care of replacing a whole new set of balloon bouquets as my daughters actual birthday was on the Tuesday and provided the exact same sets and weights for free. It was honestly the nicest and sweetest thing he could have done and made us look forward to her bday as well.
I was so taken back by his kindness and generosity and I just wanted to say thank You Party City for being so kind and having such great customer service. You guys rock.

BALLOON BUYERS BEWARE! We have been purchasing balloons from party city for nearly a decade and this will be our last purchase. Our last two purchases had the balloon (mylar) deflate and I had to bring it back to be replaced. This recent order was even worse, the balloons deflated and lost flight less than 12 hours after purchase, even with gel. The manager "could do nothing" and did nothing for us. So we have a set of non flying balloons for our son's birthday. The quality/longevity of the balloons have significantly gone down AND the manager didn't stand by their product. Save your money or purchase balloons elsewhere.

Everything is packed together so tight its hard to find anything. I feel like they never have theb1 thing I need, and if they do it's generally over priced or damaged. Staff is impossible to find and when you do it's just some high school kid who doesnt know or care what ur looking for.

My first visit and I found a dizzying array of party and celebration products, and balloons of every imaginable size and shape. Can be overwhelming, but staff proved friendly and helpful.

They always need to be overstaffed at the balloon centre and need cashiers. As one of the only spots to get balloons nearby this has always been the case for years. Nevertheless they are friendly and timely.

Led me back and forth in there front counter 3 or 4 times just to get a balloon package I felt it was very unorganized and so were the staff. One fellow even asked for a refund as I'm sure his experience was the same as mine

Well.didn't find what I was looking for.our friends are having a Margaritaville new Years party.and there was NOTHING at all there to purchase in that theme. The staff is friendly enough but made no attempt to help to find things in another section. I did find 2 things I could use! I understand that its winter but a few things would have been helpful.

This place has always been a favourite of mine, they have moved to this new location which was such a great choice they are more conveniently located the store is brand new fresh and bright. An easy shop for all your party and get together needs. I recommend trying this place first, also costumes from her are fantastic I have been buying costumes here for years.enjoy your shopping!

This store needs to get more staff. Especially on the weekends. The lines are ridiculously long and the staff have to be in too many places at too many times. The staff that are there are very friendly and willing to help as best as they can.
