The office is organized with an efficient line- up system but the two folks I met to process my application were rude and dismissive in attitude. No pleasantries or common courtesy here. I think some basic training for the staff behind the counter would be in order. Like how to say ‘hello’ and how to offer a small smile to fellow citizens who have spent hours in line. My kind ‘hello, how are you’ was met with a frown and stern reply to pass over my paperwork. It seems in terms of the general attitude in the office a soul crushing job but it’s well paid with government benefits and a chance to help people in important ways. Anyways, my passport is on its way and the job got done.

10 HOURS IN LINE SO FAR!
FYI - My husband arrived at 2.30 am this morning at the Mississauga Office. There were already approx 70 people ahead of him. He is near the front of the line currently. If you don't arrive hours in advance, then you will be turned away.
BE AWARE: MY HUSBAND WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE NOW ONLY TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR PEOPLE TRAVELING WITHIN ONE WEEK.
The staff triage the line for proof of imminent travel dates, and family ahead of him were sent home after waiting approx. 6 hours.
**EDIT** Hubbie still has to go back today to pick up the passport. If you go the day BEFORE you travel, they will have your passport ready by the end of the day.

Visited the passport office today to apply for 2 passports. The security guards were very personable and efficient. My documentation was checked to make sure everything a correct and the right documents were with me. I was helped by an Agent named Simran. She was friendly, fast and helpful. A really great experience and took just over an hour! Keep up the great work.

The security guards and office staff are so sweet and helpful. There's this one guy who takes care of the queue and he is so funny and the other guard is so calm and patient. Thank you to this entire office staff for your impeccable service. Everything was so well organized. For once I was content visiting a government office and it's the employees here that truly made the difference. I was in the queue at 8.40 am and was out by 10.40 am
23 September 2023 9:36
Extremely Rude security staff! Office closes at 4: 00pm but they didn’t let people in after 3: 00pm…Ridiculous!
20 September 2023 6:21
I say as it should be yes line but its not service canada hands but all people in service canada doing there job so I say that is as expected giving you information with smile and good its my personal experience today but I had visited lot of time before when it was upstairs same mall but no complain thanks for service

If you're a new immigrant this is NOT where you can get your SIN number. This is just for passports. The lady was kind enough to give us the address of where we can get our SIN numbers that wasn't too far away. We took 2 buses to get here.i'll leave it below:

4085A Glenn Erin Dr.
Service Canada Mississauga, ON.

Bright, airy, pleasant ambience. Ample seating. Staff attitude examplary; service with a smile; one felt as if they were specially going out of the way to be helpful. This is unusual in post-COVID era. From security to counter serving employees were polite. Only difficulty is a long wait for hours to get passport application submitted. Hence one star reduced. Not to mention expensive fees by Feds for a right to get a document for a Canadian citizen.
05 September 2023 21:23
If you thinking to give biometrics at this location, please don't! I have given my biometrics at this location 3x, and it never got sent off. I am in this limbo since the end of June, and it is still ongoing.
25 August 2023 3:14
Wait time here is ridiculously long, I entered at 11: 30 am for passport renewal, I finished at 3: 10 pm.
The person that sorted the documentats the first counter told us wait time is 90 minutes more or less. I should have listened to my other family member and Try other branches, this locations deals with a lot of crowded families.

April 28

- 3: 30am 5-6 people lined up including me (not sure when they started lining up but my guess would be a range from 12 am - 2 am. Note it was really cold. Forgot to bring a blanket & gloves and regretted it.

- 4: 30am 13 - 14 ppl+ showed up. Overheard people talking about how there were over 30-40 people lined up at this time when the weather was better.

- 7: 30 am around 50-60 ppl are lined up and more are gathering

If you are willing to line up at 2 am or earlier your gonna have to wait several hours. My buddy said he waited 6-7 hours. GL and happy camping.
20 August 2023 18:58
Came to the office at 7: 40, had 60 people in front of me lining up outside the mall. By 9: 30 I was in, by 10 o’clock. I was done.
06 August 2023 19:47
Lots of the booths were unattended, people who were behind me in line were called before me overall the total wait time was 2 /half hours from the moment I got in line, their should be more employee's to fill vacant booths that were unattended by staff. MAKE SURE YOU ARE HERE 3 HOURS BEFORE CLOSING ***
27 July 2023 16:37
4 stars because of the 4 hour wait in line that wrapped around the building outside! Went on Monday morning. Arrived at 8: 45a and left around 1pm. Do not arrive after 1-2p if you see a long line, you will be denied halfway through and will have to return another day. Despite the long wait, I thought the staff did an excellent job. I liked that the process was organized and we were informed of the progress from the security officer who came outside to help with any questions and the lady working with him as well. They gave us accurate wait times expected. Louise helped with my passport processing and she is friendly, personable, and made the long wait worthwhile! Passport pick up line was short on a Friday morning 10a ~15-20 min wait.
20 May 2023 23:28
Me and my Mom got screwed by swoop and needed emergency passports and were very stressed but the lady named Maria at this location had THE BEST customer service skills I have ever seen see made us feel calm and helped us the whole way through. I couldn’t express my gratitude in person but I feel she deserves at the very least to be acknowledged for her wonderful customer service skills and being just a genuine awesome person. If your reading this Maria I hope all is well and again thank you and god bless.
20 February 2023 12:49
Horrible service. I went last week to apply for passport. It was long line and I had to wait for 5 hours to get all process done. And they said my passport will be ready today. So, I came here today to pick up the passport and they said it not ready. If they are not able to process the file in due time why would they commit? And they want to make more development in the country. They should start from federal and provincial services first and stop wasting citizens time.
18 February 2023 22:46
Today (Jam. 10,2023) I arrived around 10: 30 a.m. From lineup outside to the actual Service Counter where I paid for my passport took about 2½-3 hrs. The actual Counter person was very good; sociable, courteous, polite (the one gentleman I got). Tips: never go early in the morning! The gentleman standing directly behind me said exactly the same thing and it was his second trip in the same day. He mentioned as well as all others who were there would all agree. Don't want to wait? If your travel is not immediate 30+ days from the day you line up to renew or apply for your passport. If a personnel comes out and asks you have the option to make an appointment. Save yourself the headache and take it. The day of your appointment, say you have an appointment. Skip the line and go in. Passport will be processed in about 2-9 business days. Next tip. Download the form or get the form you need and READ IT CAREFULLY! Word for word and follow it to the T, I can't stress it enough. I.e. No photo copies! Originals only. Copies allowed if signed by Garantor or notarized of going though the In Lieu Garantor route. Again. Things may change. So get the latest form and go through the checklist on the application form exactly as shown. If you have an old passport (Canadian) bring it along just in case. Mine was expired for quite awhile. They still used it as reference. So hey. A little prep pays off!

As it goes. 1. Fill out form fully 2. Have all IDs requested, present (originals, copies must be notarized) 3. Go through the checklist provided and follow it exactly 4. Go, line up. Bring entertaiemt, prepare to wait min 3 hrs.p. S. Don't forget to check the weather for the outside wait portion.

I did all this. 5-10 mins at the Service Counter (time it takes to enter your info into the system), paid and out!
14 February 2023 21:53
The website says 8: 30-4pm. I get there by 1: 45pm, (I took off from work). I’m told by the staff that they are not taking more people in …. We can do better than this. The website needs to have better service hours description to help manage expectation. However this is appalling. There were many like me in the queue
09 February 2023 8:30
Let me start by saying I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here especially considering the impossible situation just a few months back (and also some of the negative recent reviews I read for this location especially).
Overall, I would say that the chaos and suffering of past months is gone and the Passport office is back to functioning normally as in the past. No need to go lineup early in the morning for sure! Hopefully, the following points on my experience will help.
Note: you don’t need airline tickets if you are not travelling urgently.
- I reasoned that Mondays won't be a good time to apply and decided on a Wednesday. I checked out the place the day before and was surprised that there was no one in line at about 12 p.m.
- We needed to apply for 3 passports (2 adult, 1 child) and arrived at the Centre around 9: 45 a.m. (child not required to attend). There were about 15 - 20 people lined up ahead of us INSIDE the mall.
- We got to the first window around one hour later with all three passport applications vetted in around 15 minutes. Officer was courteous and understanding, helping us correct a couple of points (missing telephone numbers).
- We were called to the second window after about 45 minutes waiting in the second hall. The officer here, Jeff, was friendly from the start and very professional. He went through the 3 applications in no time and we were out of the Centre by 11: 50 a.m. – about two hours in all.
- We were informed that the "mailing out date" for the passports was Dec. 14,2022 (14 days after submittal of application) but we received the two adult passports on the 7th of December. The child passport arrived two days later.
Great experience overall and thanks to the two officers who processed our application. I believe this is becoming the norm (as in the past) and anyone waiting on the sidelines to apply can go ahead do that now!
27 January 2023 10:09
This "service centre" is an absolute joke. Making people wait outside because of "fire codes", inexperienced security staff that have NO idea what they are doing with a supervisor who thinks he is the law. We waited for 3 hours and then were told that they would no be letting anymore people in. Please, for civility, get a system in place. On line reservation?
11 January 2023 20:08
Drop off my passport renewal application and picked up the new passport in two weeks. I had to wait for four hours first time. But picked up the passport in less than half an hour. The wait time can be reduced by organizing it by giving thought about cold weather and waiting outside of the mall.
02 January 2023 8:35
Went today (Dec 22) for passport. Arrived at 7: 30 and got in line at north side of mall, around 30 people in line. Door to mall opened at 7: 50 and everyone moved inside to new line. Security give some instructions to help people get in correct line if they are there for pick up or if they don’t have the required information. Office opened at 8: 30 and I was served in 15 mins where they first check all your documentation. A number is given for the next room and I was out by 9: 10, passport will be mailed by Jan 10th. Lots of staff serving customers, very simple and pleasant experience.
29 December 2022 5:13
Mr. Vick… omg I had the best experience, he made me so happy calm and safe and ready to be tend to
27 December 2022 11:02
Don't need to go early and you don't need proof of travel. Go at your convenience. Short lines and efficient service.
13 December 2022 12:07
Staff was amazing, little bit of a wait from when you get inside to get processed.
Overall good experience, time spent 8: 40am-11: 45am.
When I was leaving, there was hardly any line up.
02 December 2022 22:48
It’s a nice site, but very busy. Please come early. We had to come twice because the first time we arrived after 8: 30 and didn’t even get inside of the mall. Today we came at 5: 30 and we were done to 11 am.
17 November 2022 14:33
Super slow!
After I got the number waited for 4 hrs to get to the counter. Only 5 counters are open out of 15 counters. More staffs are here but no one is behind the counter to help ease the line up. It’s not even functioning at normal pace.
17 November 2022 0:31
Went for renewal today. Got there at 06: 25, approximately 40-50 people ahead of me waiting. Brought a lawn chair so the wait wasn't too bad. Prior to opening at 08: 30 staff came out to triage the line according to needs. In and out by 09: 30. Staff were great.
15 November 2022 15:18
The service here is good but I had a very bad experience from one of the security guards who was behaving like a bar security guard without even willing to listen to what I was explaining to him. I was told from Brampton passport office official that express passport issue (for immediate travel) could be done only from the Mississauga passport location and that I can get the service from Mississauga location on the same day because I already visited the Brampton location that day in the morning and submitted all documents for my child’s passport earlier. The security told me to go and to wait in line early morning next day. I decided to wait in line and later one female official came and listened to what I told her. She said I don’t have to wait and asked me to come inside.

If the security guard knew what he actually had to do or even if he was willing to ask advice from official inside the office, that would have made a much difference. If I listened to him and went home that day, I would have wasted one day.

Sometimes it’s just one person who gives bad name to others. Staff in such an important government office need to act more responsibly because many people’s life, plans everything get affected.
30 October 2022 9:13
I arrived at 5: 30am after reading the reviews and expecting a long time in queue & it’s exactly happened. There were almost 35 plus people ahead to me. So, try to come as early as possible. Bring your chair & ensure to have proper winter clothes & snacks as it was pretty cold out there.

There is washroom nearby if you arrive before 7am. There is one McDonald’s beside this place that opens 7am. There is one washroom in the mall that opens at 8: 30am once the mall opened.

Btw this place is only dealing passport these days so don’t come here for SIN or other matters. They would not entertain you there other than passport. Nevertheless, they are entertaining both regular and urgent passports.

The security guard arrived around 8am and soon followed by the staff lady who gave token/ticket so they could let you in. She asked if some one is flying in next 2-9 days and have a separate line/token for him/her. All other people are in other line/row.

They started letting the people in around 8: 25 after checking the token. Inside the place, again it took a lot of time and I had to await literally for another 4 hours: (. However the good thing is that once you enter the office, you are at least feel okay as there is a sitting arrangements and the temperature is not cold compare to outside.

The parking in front of this place is not free especially if you arrived earlier and want to park your car in front of this office. There is no option to select the hours based parking. Only one option: $20 till 5PM.

I wish they could hire more people so there should not be a very long wait time. At least there should be every counter active, so people could get fast service. Anyhow, be ready to spend 4-8 plus hours there and be prepared accordingly.
27 October 2022 14:32
Got there Wednesday at 7: 45am in the morning, and lineup started at the front of the mall facing Central Parkway. Apparently, people camped there since 10pm the night before? The workers will ask if you have a travel date, triage you accordingly, and give you a ticket.

If you don't have a travel date yet, you can still line up. The ticket the workers give you just means you can go inside. Some lady thought she could sneak through the line without it, and was asked to not enter.

Around 1pm, they no longer allowed people inside. I heard one of the workers say, if you're not lined up before 7am, you pretty much won't be able to get in. I was there at 7: 45am, office opens at 8: 30am, so up to you to decide when you want to go.

If you are going there to get your SIN card, they will turn you away, they strictly do passports only they said, so that freed up some of the line.

I brought a mini folding chair (which I didn't end up using), snacks, water, book and a portable charger for my phone. The book and podcasts helped pass the time for me. You must wear a mask to enter the waiting room, or the workers will provide one for you.

Took approximately 4 hours waiting in line outside, and another 2 hours inside the mall and waiting room. Make sure you have a nice full breakfast before you go, and pray you have a nice person in line to hold your spot for bathroom breaks, or if you want to run to grab some food/snacks.

In total it took 6 hours from start to finish. Thank goodness I got a 10 year passport, so I don't have to do this again for a long time!
13 June 2022 13:10
First things first if you are even considering going in person please arrive at 4am! I arrive at 4: 45 this morning and I was the 30th person in line! The security guards have no idea what’s going on, each one will tell you something different, as of right now because it has been so busy within the last month they will not see you unless you are travelling within 25 business days. Now if you are showing up because of a file transfer or other issues with a passport that has already been submitted by mail they will not see you unless you are 2-3 days from travel with proof of travel. I wasted my time two days this week going very early just to be told to come back 3 days before travel in order for them to even look at my file, no guarantees.
10 June 2022 5:00
I lined up since noon today 4/14 and very slow moving, till 2: 56pm when I was in number 6 in-line, an officer come out and told us come back next Tuesday. Appointment booking is not allowed.
05 June 2022 5:08
If you're arriving between 8: 00-8: 30 am be prepared to wait 6+ hours (not an exaggeration). That's how long I waited today. Only come here if you are within the 25 day travel window with proof of travel and arrive early. Tickets are handed out around 7am. If you don't have a ticket, you might not be seen. The line starts outside and only a few people are allowed in due to complaints in the mall. Bring a chair and a blanket. The mornings are always cold. There's also the processing wait time in the actual office which is between 30-40mins ish depending on the applications before you and yours of course.

Good luck
25 May 2022 17:21
In case you are in urgency in renewing/applying your passport, please do not come to this location.i was asked to come in and line up ~5-6AM in order to get in for the day given they only process ~200 applicants per day. If you want to get your application processed (within 48hrs of travel), please try other locations as I got it done the same day without much lineup at Hamilton location. Please make sure you go to ServiceCanadaPassportServices where they make passport on site.

On a separate note, I do see people's frustration on the employees at this location but the employees are nice and gentle enough to handle such frustrations. My biggest concern is if country-wide we have dropped C19 protocols/mask mandate, why tf our government service location still follow such restrictions? !
18 May 2022 18:35
Extremely unorganized and understaffed. Line ups go outside all the way around the building with no promise of getting in.
17 May 2022 22:39
Pro tip 1. Arrive by mid night leave a campaign chair with your name and come by 7am in the morning and take your spot.

Pro tip2. Dont go to mississauga, brampton, scarborough, toronto and any big city offices. Straight drive to kitchner or any other small town offices beacuse the wait time is way to short.

I arrived at 5.45am and about 120people before me in line. Keep your proof of travel ready or elae doesnt matter how long you wait, you, ll be asked to leave the line. Remember they only take 150people per day so you have to be there early to be in top 150. Highly recommended to check weather before coming and dressup accordingly. It was freezing today and the feets were numb and paining.

You, ll be handed tickets half an hour before the office opens and after that the ticket is your identity. Once you have the ticket noone can cross you in the line, the system is pretty accurate and everything will happen in same sequence as your ticket number.
You can grab food from nearby or use washrooms if needed and still can come back to the same place in line since you have the number. Try to socialize with other people in line so you dont feels the time and enjoy standing in lines lol.

Dont wait in line for the passport pickups hence its a quick 15mins stop without any ticket or standing in line.

Overall it was a horrible experience! 5.45am to 11.30am straight standing in -5° outside than 11.30am to 2.30pm standing inside the mall till the very end of the process at 2.30pm.

SHOUTOUT TO THE AMAZING PEOPLE THAT I GROUP UP WITH
08 May 2022 5:54
7 hours waiting outside and inside and only provide 4 booths open with staff out of 16. Deplorable service!
05 May 2022 12:29
Not great. Just a warning no more appointments but walk in but you have to be there extremely early to get a number then in the end you have wait in line.
04 May 2022 3:42
I booked an appointment for passport application on line from e services Canada (with confirmation number) and when i reached there, I was told there was no appointment booked and I had to come at six am next day! I tried to show the email of appointment confirmation to the officer at the door but no luck. Next day I show up at 0530, there is 80 people already waiting! The temperature is around 0 C and everyone is freezing. Some have brought their chairs and blankets. We waited until 0730 and we were given numbers. We had to be travelling within the next 25 business days. At 0930, after a two hours wait in the cold we were allowed to enter the mall. Another 2 hours wait (at least in a heated area) until we we’re allowed in the office. I need to emphasize that at certain point the security guard wanted to sneak some people in front of us. He said these people was not there when their number was called. But when we asked them what time they came in, they said 0630. When we told them we were waiting since 0500, they gladly accepted to go behind in the line. Finally we were done by 1300. Thats after almost eight hours and risking hypothermia!
Some tips.
Arrive around midnight and leave an empty lawn chair with your name on it. Then come later when you wish.
Try to socialize with other people in the line besides you. Time will go faster and you will meet great people.
02 May 2022 20:32
Can't believe this is happening in Canada.
Long lines. First person said came at 2.00 am! ! ! People coming for few days. Manager Naz, she misinforming, misleading. They give you numbers. Seen people without a number getting in. Is this public service? 1 star it is to much. Even 0 stars are to much. I would give them minus -5 stars. I had the feeling like you deal with a gang, with rules we don't know. Service? To serve?:) doesn't have any meaning. Don't believe it? You are welcome to experience it! Good luck!
22 April 2022 6:19
Firstly, it is very sad that in a such developed country, this is the process to get a passport. The lines here have been out of control for years and no attempts have been made to improve the system, hire more people and bring any sort of efficiency to the process.

Also, the security guards at the front of the line have no idea what's going on. I was turned away from the line because I was told I needed documentation that I would be travelling in order to get a passport for my infant son. Later, I found this was WRONG, based on our expected travel time. Thank you for causing me to waste my morning.
22 April 2022 3:12
Tried calling 1800 number for days no answer. This is unbelievable. You cant make an appointment, you mail your passport you get no answers and no ine picks up. This is the worst experience thus far.
13 April 2022 11:20
Very Disgusting experience from security guard Zafar.
In afternoon when i went he sent me back to get the declaration form.
At 3: 30pm i went and requested to get in as the office is still open till 4PM.
As soon as Zafar saw me talking to the other guard who was nice and cooperative, he came and and told the other guards not to take in anymore applicants. Other 2 guard on duty saw that i was the only one who was left so they took me in.

But Zafar came in and on behalf of management told me to leave since he decided not to take in any applicants.

Because of this i will have to come back again next day all the way from Brampton.

Seriously ridiculous experience especially from the Security Gurad Zafar.

Management should not let their good service reputation down because of him.

Thank you

I just applied for my passport today and it was an amazing experience. The people right from the security guards to each and every person I interacted with was extremely professional, helpful and polite and willing to answer all my questions patiently.

Please don't worry about reaching at 7: 30 AM and all that. I reached at 3 PM as a general walk-in and was out by 3: 50 PM. Maybe someone who came at 7: 30 AM was out by 8: 45 AM but I don't think it makes a huge difference but take your call on that as the people handling the lines (security guards) are very helpful and the the people inside are amazing as well so you are in good hands.rest assured!

Kudos to the Center Head and each and every member of the team.

December 2,2021

“Early bird gets the worm”

I got there at 7: 30am. It was raining so people were just waiting in their cars (go on days when it’s raining or snowing). When the mall opened at 8am there was a total of 5 people. Once you get inside the mall, there are two doors for the passport office. Line up in front of the first door with the sign “Appointments Line Up Here” even if you don’t have an appointment. Some people were lined up in front of the other door and they were taken on after the first line.

When the office opened at 8: 30, they grouped everyone in 3 lines in the following order
1. People travelling within the next 14 days (they verified that everyone had a valid booking, I pulled up the Qatar Airways app to show the booking and they accepted it, both the guard and the officer inside)
2. People with appointments (people showed proofs on their phones)
3. General walk-ins.

I was the first one to enter because I was travelling and I was also the first one in line, I was out the door by 8: 45am. From what I gathered it looked like general walkins were going to be served after people with appointments and who were travelling.

Having an appointment at 9: 30 doesn’t mean that you will be served at 9: 30. You will still be placed in the queue so it’s better to arrive early and plan accordingly. Also, if you value your time, don’t attempt general walk in. Book your flight and then visit within the 14 days of the flight. There is an extra charge of $50 for express but it’s worth it.

Was there this morning (Dec 8) to get passports for my kids. I arrived at 7: 10, and there were two people ahead of me in line outside the mall. By 7: 30 there were about 10. At 7: 45 they let us into the mall. A bit of a scramble to figure out where to start the line. Everyone except those picking up finished passports should line up on the left (facing the office).
At 8: 30, the very efficient security people came out and explained that they would see people with appointments first (in order of the appointment time) - there were maybe 10 people with appointments? Then they asked everyone in line if they were travelling in the next two weeks (up to Dec 22). You had to show proof of travel, or if you were traveling by car, you needed a letter confirming this. I think you can write this yourself.
As I was nearly at the front of the line, I walked in and went straight to an agent.
When I went in, I would guess there were maybe 40-50 people in line? It seemed very long. But once they sorted out the people who didn't have immediate travel in the next two weeks, that probably was cut in half. When I left about 25 mins later, there were maybe 3 people left in line, and I think all had arrived after I went in.
In fact, a friend of mine arrived around 8: 15 when the line was already quite long. He was no longer in line when I left, and I presume it's because he was already inside.
Note that when you go into the office you do still have a wait, but you get a number and can sit down.
Bottom line - go here if you need a passport in the next two weeks. You will be seen and you won't be yelled at (I'm looking at you, Victoria St location!).
And if you don't have travel in the next two weeks, apply by mail, or wait until you are within two weeks of your travel date.
Good luck!

Worst place to go and visit, security staff can’t even organize the line. Today I walked for my passport renewal, as I have no appointment and I was there by 6.30 early morning in the line with 3 people ahead of me.
When the door opens, we waited inside and then when the office opens, the security guy said to us that all of us had to go very back in the line and he cannot do anything as we all have to deal with themselves.
Very disappointed to hear this and after waiting 5 hrs in the line, I had to leave as the walk in line was not at all moving. Worst experience and worst place.

I had an appointment at 9: 45 and reached 10 mins early. They hardly took 5 mins and my work was done before my appointment started.

Yes I got served but this stars are specifically for that African American (black) lady guard. She is a gem and star. I was stressed and little rude to her but she kept her cool managed the crowd. She was fantastic. And helped me. Genuine compassion and humility she had.

Went at 7.30 am and stood in line for 2 hours to be only denied service on the flimsy reason that you should be traveling within next 2 weeks to get the service. The Service Canada website doesn't have that rule, the security guards at the door can deny the service based on the made up rules to discriminate and deny the service. What a pathetic state of services in Canada, there were over 70-80 people at 8: 30 and Service Canada only operates 8: 30-4 and not on weekends, do they ever think of extending hours and into weekends to address the backlog? The public servants in Canada has become a joke, living in their privileged cocoons and not accountable to public. RIP Canada

The worst place to apply for your passport.
The lady who did our paperwork was nice, but in the process she did some mistakes which caused my passport not to be delivered on time, I have lost my vacation and the trip just because my passport didn't come while my wife's passport came on time and no address issue.
They were blaming us for not giving the right address, but they didn't want to hear that me nd my wife applied together nd I paid for both on same credit card same day, same agent, same paperwork and same address, how is it possible that my wife passport is sent while mine it is one month passed from the date to be delivered, still not having it?
Just because they say our address is wrong while as I mentioned we did recieve one passport, but not the other lol

On the other hand, Just to let you guys know, whoever that works for the pickup at this passport location "A lady" is super rude nd has no idea of customer service, she behaves nd talk in a way that everyone else are her slaves.

Overall, this office same like many other government offices sucks nd does not make sense.
"I WOULD NEVER EVER USE THIS OFFICE TO APPLY FOR PASSPORT OR ANY OTHER GOVERNMENT PAPERWORKS

I recommend everyone to stretch a little bit of your time nd do all the transactions online, nd let some of those egoic employees to enjoy losing their jobs.

Terrible experiance today went in with my son today for a passport and the the passport service agent her name is Aneta Kawa was extremely rude she kept asking my 17 year old son why he doesn't have a license or valid picture ID as an adult. Meanwhile everything has been closed due to covid we had past passport, Birth certificate, health card, sin and his school ID that proved Identity. We had no problem providing anything else she needed if asked with respect. She then proceeded to ask him to fill a declaration form. My son has dyslexia and was feeling over welmed by the whole situation so I had to help with the form. I tried to explain why his ID expired and she just didn't want to hear it. The lack of understanding atowards my son and I was shocking. I then asked to talk to the supervisor I wanted to let her know that it is not ok to feel or be treated in such a away. As I was talking to her a few members of her staff where mocking. It was by far the most humiliation I have ever had. As a Candaian I am not proud to say these are the people representing service canda. It saddens me that with all we have gone through with the Pendemic there is still people who are just aweful in character. I hope we learn to be kinder more understanding more willing to help one another.

I went to Service Canada with my sister and waited in the line only to be told that they’re only accepting applications for near dates. They told me to return when my flight was closer. And then we did. We waited in line just to make it inside the office, where there was another line. Gave them my application and ID’s which they paperclipped together, handed to me and I would wait in another line for my number to be called. When It was finally my turn, the woman took our applications and ID. My sister and I provided the same documents. 1 drivers licence and a birth certificate. I told them my flight was on the 9th and they told me I won’t get my passport in time. I then told them I came earlier but was told to go back home. It didn’t matter. I had to pay 50 dollars extra to pick up my passport on the 6th (today). The lady on the computer was so preoccupied with other conversations and dealing with another person behind us at the same time. She gave us a receipt which said either we could pick it up or authorize someone else to. I ended up sending a relative on my behalf as we were both busy, only for her to get just my sister’s passport. They tell her that they still require ID from me. The exact same ID they took from us when we applied. I had to make my way down there myself and ask why that would happen if we both provided the same IDs. I was met with hostility from the man behind the desk telling me that I had received a message from them on Wednesday, which was both completely false and irrelevant. How hard is it to admit mistake on your (Service Canada) part? The irony of it all is after he took my I. D he told me my passport would be printed in 30 minutes. 30 minutes to print a document that they make you jump through loopholes for. I’m starting to understand why people have public freak outs. The lack of urgency and respect these workers have is because they know you’re at their mercy. There’s really nothing you can do.

Athena was disgusting to deal with.

My friend lost his passport at the airport, while transiting through Toronto, to make his way abroad. Urgently, I accompanied him, as his guarantor, to this office to produce an urgent "same day" passport; a very straight forward process. Security was friendly, but after my friend was issued a ticket number, we had waited for 2 hours, without his number appearing on prompters that our eyes were anxiously glued to, in anticipation of it appearing.

When my friend, finally, decided to, kindly, ask if his number was called, one of the workers (Athena) defensively and neurotically over-expressed that she had "yelled" out the ticket number "hours ago" and that she had waited for 2 whole minutes, despite us waiting for 2 hours. Needless to say, this was a bold lie intended to disguise incompetence, or as I am more inclined to believe, deliberate closet-discrimination. Ticket numbers appear on prompters, and remain there, for an extensive period of time - which my friends' did not.

However, vulnerable and desperate my friend was for the need of his passport to resume his trip abroad, his exceptionally polite, courteous, and respectful tippy toeing was only to be reciprocated by Athena's lack of professionalism and exaggerated sense of self importance, not limited to unnecessary difficulties, fear-provoking/scaremongering, cheekiness, passive aggression, and baiting; hallmarks of an uncontrolled ego that her "17 years of working (here) " have cultivated.

He ended up getting his passport, the same day, because Athena "did a favour" (her silly attempt at seeking praise for an, otherwise, straightforward and easy matter, made difficult only by her whims).

So, let this review be her praise:
Absolutely disgusting behaviour - show people respect, even if you are Greek and they just happen to be transiting through Turkey. We are all Canadians.

Worst experience ever!

No WALK-IN at all!

You will not find this information on the website and you will never receive a call from them for booking an appointment!

I arrived at 7.30 am.there were 16 people in front of me in line on the street, then at 7.50 the mall was opened and we went inside!
At 8.20 in the morning, two officers came out and asked who has an appointment (they were put first in line), and then they were asked who was going on a trip in the next 2 weeks, they were put next, and everyone else was transferred to the end of the mall to wait till the line of people with appointments and travel in 2 weeks maximum will be finished. But that line never ended! Even at 12 pm there were only 3 people but officers did not take anyone from our line (note people had been on their feet since 7 am) and then again people who will travel came, so they waited only 15 min in comparing with us.and in our line were people who came from Kitchener and Barrie.
It is so disrespectful!

Passport Canada phone service says this location is accepting walk ins…. When you get here for opening (8: 30) and extremely rude female security guard gives you a paper to say that you need to make an appointment. Everyone I extremely unprofessional. I would suggest going to another office. They have a lady here standing with crutches in front of me in line for over an hour here.

I went to renew my 17 year old passport after waiting patiently in the line up only to be informed that an online booking is a must and they will call u back in a day or two to book the appointment. There is no sign placed at the passport office informing the people or on the website.
Please see attached and book online for all passports renewal. SAVE TIME.
Not applicable who have proof of booking with ticket.
Will POST HOW THE LOCATION SERVICE AND HOW FAST THE CALL WAS RECEIVED AFTER MAKING AN ONLINE REQUEST.

Extremely unorganized. I booked an appointment nearly a month ago for a passport renewal, and waited over 1.5 hours to see someone. What’s the point of scheduling appointments? The appointment time slots mean nothing. I understand it’s covid, which may result in a little bit of a delay, but don’t waste people’s time and arrange an appointment that you can’t commit to. Only good thing was the staff were friendly.

If you need to get your urgent passport same day, go to this location, although you have to prove it with a ticket. Staffs here were so kind. There was an error on my passport and Jeff was so kind, he didn't brush me off because it was a mistake of issuing a 5 year instead of 10, they could have given me a refund, but they didn't, Jeff was a professional. Another passport was reissued within 1 hour. Thank you everyone. I appreciate you all
