Felicia was very helpful and knowledgeable. She listen to our needs and helped us decide what was right for us. I really appreciate the kindness she showed my daughter who is afraid of needles. It’s was a great experience
Our experience at Passport Health Etobicoke Travel Clinic for our travel consultation and yellow fever vaccine were very professional and overall perfect. The nurse (?) asked good questions about each of the countries we planned to visit and provided both a written document as well as a verbal explanation of what was being recommended for each destination. The location is easy to get to since it is literally beside Islington subway station, so no need to drive and pay high parking costs. I recommend Passport Health to other travelers seeking travel vaccination recommendations.
This is a great travel clinic. I love that there is an app so I never lose my medical info, and there is a $10 discount if you fill out the forms ahead of time. It was quick and easy and the nurse was knowledgeable and very professional. Would recommend coming here for your travel needs!
Super easy to book an appointment (a real person answers! Not a robot!) and Hilda was immensely helpful and kind. For best safety my trip to Africa requires more than 4 types of immunizations and I was able to get them all done during my appointment as well as prescriptions for others that I didn’t want to do today. Makes filing for insurance very easy as well, 100% recommend!
As others have mentioned, the clinic is clean and the nurse is on-time and well-prepared for your appointment. The downside is that it is *very* expensive. The information alone might be worth the $79 fee, but $49 for each subsequent family member is definitely not worth it. Additionally, the cost of the vaccines are roughly double other travel clinics and triple pharmacies.
For example, the yellow fever vaccine is $331 here and $126 at my pharmacy. The oral typhoid vaccine is $95 here and $34 at my pharmacy. Remember that any insurance you have will only cover "normal" (i.e. Pharmacy) prices, so an 80% drug plan only covers about $22 of the $95. For what it's worth, my pharmacy had to order both vaccines (2 day turnaround), so if you're desperate for the vaccine immediately, this clinic is an option.
In the future, we will do our own research on the CDC website (which provided near-identical information) and order our vaccines through our GP/walk-in clinic/pharmacy. It's more work, but saves us about $520 (that's the extra cost even though we have an 80% drug plan).
Felicia was excellent. She gave a full summary of what was available, what was recommended and what the priorities should be. If it wasn't for her our travel plans may have been really side tracked as one of the vaccines is mandatory if traveling between countries in South America. She was also super patient while we checked our insurance policies to see what was covered.
The clinic is clean, all information presented pre- and during the appointment were clear and did not make me feel uncomfortable at any point. The clinician/nurse was well prepared and had all my travel information ready to discuss details about my trip with me. It was all a very smooth and timely process! Not to mention they won't scrounge you with nonsense fees. Highly recommend.
It was a relief to find a travel clinic where my needs were understood easily. They had all of the vaccines that I needed in stock, as well as travellers antibiotics, for working multiple countries in Africa. I was able to get everything done in one visit, and the injections were the most painless that I've ever had! They also stock a range of bug sprays and anti-malarials.
Hilda was excellent - so smart, polite and friendly. She took the time to answer all my questions and explained every detail thoroughly. I highly recommend this Travel Clinic and services - Thank you Hilda for your most excellent service.
