Today, Oct 11/2023, my dog got the worst haircut ever, the lady did not listen to my instructions and basically shaved him from head to toe. I could not recognize my dog as I left the store. I will never go back and advise others to avoid the facility. Worst groomer ever, wish I could get my $100+ back.
Groomers at Pet Smart are better than you, you are a horrible groomer.
I'll preface by saying I'm sure if you want a basic all over cut and aren't particularly attached to a look, they are wonderful. No complaints about conditions, animal treatment etc.
I'm not one to complain and, avoid confrontation. It was just a disappointing and sad experience. Nothing awful but, I went in with a clear idea of what I wanted, a printed reference photo, explained with words, clarified, and showed with my hands. I wanted the ears long and the hair at the top/back of his HEAD between his ears long to grow out a mullet eventually. I held the hair I wanted to be kept long in between my finger to show. We had been growing it out for 7 months and were very attached to his long head hair. The groomer seemed unsure but said that they would call when they were doing his face. Which I thought meant they would let me know what they were doing, So I felt okay to leave.
I came to pick him up and the part I wanted to be long, which will take another 7 months to grow back, was completely gone and the hair on the back of his neck was left long. I was very sad and mentioned that the part I wanted to be kept long was gone, made friendly conversation, paid and left.
When I came home my partner saw how upset I was and is more confrontational than I am and made a call to complain. The groomer just said that they did what I had told them to do. I feel gaslit because I know how careful I was when I explained it. I know I showed with my hands. I know I left a reference photo with written notes.
At the end of the day it is just hair. But I don't have a lot of money so spending +$100 to have the one thing you didn't want to happen, happen is just kind of gutting. They offered to cut his neck hair but no other resolution.
My first time here today. My fur baby came out looking like a little lady. She was so happy as am I. Amazing service. We are now a loyal customer. I've taken my baby to many places and nothing can compare to this wonderful place. Thank you for all you have done
Poor customer service - rude when answering emails back - after takin my dog there For years - but they don’t deserve me to bring my dog there - after all they need me more than I need them:)
My nervous, skiddish dog had never been to a groomer before, she was reluctant, but she really liked and responded well to Amanda. I am really happy with the results, and I appreciate the care she took with my dog.
Lovely little neighbourhood dog salon. Excellent online scheduling system makes for efficient time management, especially on busy weekends. They are loving and experienced and my dog always comes out happy and clean! Pricing is fair and a much better alternative to the bigger chain style places.
These guys are always great and welcoming. Unfortunately had to cancel an appointment today and, first thing they did was be understanding and offer to re-book. We have been bringing Jude here forever, and he loves it and looks amazing every time. Thank you to the team.
Don’t go here! I tried to book my pup in for a groom when I arrived at the appointment they didn’t have time to groom him and said his app was only for a bath. Horrible customer service waste of time.
Learned of this place through recommendation. Groomer did a fantastic job grooming my small 15 lb dog; the service was quick and affordable. Also ended up buying a nice quality dog bed for a good price. I highly recommend and will be definitely coming back again.
We brought our dog Oreo to Patch’s Pups & Curls upon the recommendation of a friend. She too, has been boarding her dog with them. Oreo usually stays with my parents when we are away, but this time their vacation plans conflicted with ours, so I was worried he would not feel comfortable at with an unfamiliar place.
I was impressed with Cynthia since our first email encounter. She was knowledgeable and very thorough when explaining the process. She made sure we provided her with all the information she needed for looking after Oreo. We brought Oreo to her place for a meet and greet and he didn’t want to leave!
During Oreo’s week-long stay, Cynthia kept us up-to-date by posting Oreo’s photos daily on Instagram. We also get an email update every few days. Oreo met a few new friends and enjoyed his time with Cynthia. She took very good care of him and even helped to get him into a regular eating schedule.
At the end of his stay, Oreo enjoyed a “spaw” day where he was pampered by Eve with a bath, a trim and de-shedding. She did such a wonderful job and even gave him a cute little tie with Christmas tree prints on it.
We highly recommended Patch’s Pups & Curls for boarding and grooming and will definitely be bringing Oreo back because we know he would be in good hands.
Reasonably priced and no complaints, either from me, or the family dog.which was a surprise considering how long her nails were and how skittish she can be about nail trimmings. Small place, but great service!
