Paterno Nurseries

Nice nursery. Good slelection. However every time I attend the nursery, the one female cashier is not very welcoming Or friendly and does not appear to enjoy her job. No one ever seems willing to come out to the grounds to offer their assistance.

We purchased two purple beech trees from this nursery. Had a problem with one after planting. Mike and the staff were quick to respond and provided us with an excellent replacement. We highly recommend Paterno. They stand by their product. They have a great nursery selection and offer excellent customer service.

Great nursery! Small, very tidy, easy to find items, similar plants kept together! I just bought a rhododendron and a large hanging plant. They look fabulous, really well taken care of. The cashier was very knowledgeable, and helpful, better than having a sweet friendly girl who knows nothing. We are buying plants and comments should be made about the quality of the plants the nurseries is selling and making sure you follow instruction on how to plant what you purchased. Very pleased with the plants!

Plenty of $2.10 price signs for cell pack veggies, but none are cell packs, only $3.99 per plant 4" cells found. I shopped here for years, but this is a mistake in behalf of the store. It takes one bad experience to stop supporting in the future. Oh well. Check Holland Park Garden nearby. They may have how honest prices, even if they're just a bit cheaper.

Everytime I go there in the spring always hard to get help but the worse is checking out the cashier never smiles is a little hard to deal with

Great little nursery hence why I gave 4 stars, but my goodness, the ladies who work there need some urgent training in customer service! They never say hello and good bye back, never smile and tend to make you feel like they are doing you a favour by serving you at the till. I've shopped there at least a dozen of times and I've always been treated borderline rudely. Even when I commented on how beautiful their plants are to break the awkward silence during a particular slow transaction, I was met with a dead stare. I'm not expecting a red carpet treatment because I popped in to buy a Hydrangea tree, but as a business owner myself I am surprised by the sheer lack of basic customer service skills.
