Amazing views, attentive staff with some what limited selections. All the favorites were available and well made. Had hoped for some new variety/choices but heh,

Yum usually the place is extremely busy so get there usually after 12: 30 on the weekend if you want some dim sum. Otherwise expect to be in a lineup for a while. The view is really awesome. If you can pre-book a reservation and say you want to Lakeview then please go ahead and do that. Parking is a little bit tricky at this place

This is one of the better dim sum spots in Toronto outside of Chinatown. The view is the best. Food is pretty good as well.

A Chinese restaurant worth visiting in downtown Toronto! The dining environment is comfortable and elegant, the service attitude is very good, I really like the food there! Recommend the salt and pepper tofu cubes and Peking duck, and the desserts there are also very good! In downtown Toronto, Mingzhuzhan is a great place for family and friends to gather for dinner! If there is any downside, it is that the price is a bit expensive!

I only tried the dim sum menu.
FOOD: I walked out feeling hungry, probably next time I need to get rice or noodles.
• Peal Appetizer Platter: you get 2 small pieces of each type, spring roll was ok, I don't like the fry dumplings, the other one was meh.

• Deep fried Eggplant stuffed w/ Shrimp: this's probably the best one. Warning the eggplant part is so hot that it burned my tounge.

• Steam Shrimp dumpling: decent, I love that they having a big shrimp on each dumpling.

• Scallop dumpling: I like both of these, but this one is stand out.

SERVICE: the waiters look angry somehow, they're all very cold and doesn't talk much, more like mumbling.

VIBE: very elegant, love the table by the window have view to the water.

Spent my boyfriend’s birthday here. The food was great, no doubt. It was served within 10 mins of ordering and was very delicious. I only rated it a 4 because the ambiance wasn’t that great to be celebrating your birthday in. I made a reservation indicating my bf’s birthday but maybe they just don’t have anything special for celebrants which is totally fine. But what I found a bit awkward was how we were seated infront of the cashier / area where the servers stayed and it felt like they were just hovering, waiting for us to call them. And when we didn’t, they conversed amongst themselves quite loudly that it really just took away the special moment during dinner. It didn’t feel intimate or special in any way for dinner. We would probably come back on a casual day, but definitely not for any celebration:)

Overpriced dim sum for a view you can just see if you happen to be in the area. They forgot a dish that we ordered an hour prior to asking about it the second time. The first time we asked, the server said steamed soup dumplings take a while to make. There are some great inefficiencies if your soup dumplings take an hour to steam for a restaurant that is at 20% capacity on a Saturday.

They did apologize but we really did just wait for no reason. No discount whatsoever, no remaining desire to reorder soup dumplings.

Anyway the toilets are cool so there’s that

SERIOUSLY this was absolutely the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had! It was disgusting and quite frankly repulsive! Service and atmosphere were no better. The first clue should’ve been that few people were dining at the dinner hour. If I can save one person from ever considering this terrible restaurant, I’ve done a good deed! Don’t waste your hard earned money!

My family visited from overseas and we took them to the Pearl. The food was good, the service was decently good, and the atmosphere was cool and chic. The portions for the fried rices were amazing, and for the dim sum and snacks, the portions were miniscule.

This was a wonderful meal, with lots to share with 3 people. We enjoyed dim sum, bok choy and pineapple rice.

Dim sum with a view! Would go back! They were pretty busy even on a weekday lunch, probably best to make a reservation.

The food is good but expensive. Small portions. Go to Chinatown for half the price and twice the food. Red bean soup is superb

The food was average at max & the bill was around $200 for 2 people. Would not recommend to anyone unless you want to sit by the waterfront & just enjoy the view & paying for it. Save your money & just enjoy the water from the harbour front park for free

Cute restaurant in harbour front, the dim sum were big and delicious, we loved shrimp dim sum as well as sticky rice in lotus leaf.
You also get a beautiful view of the lake!

Good food. Great views!
One mouldy strawberry. One staff member kept looking at his mobile at the till, even when we needed him. We watched him for five minutes!
Mainly good food, reasonably priced.
It was a Monday night so not many in and atmosphere was limited. The views from the window seats are amazing.

My husband and I chose Pearl Harbourfront Chinese Cuisine to host our wedding reception. The planning process with Jeff, the owner, was seamless from beginning to end. He recommended tips on ensuring a successful evening with no hassle. You can tell he has hosted numerous weddings and is incredibly experienced as a hospitality leader. We felt that the service was beyond impressive; every table was taken care of in a timely manner with food and drink to all guests. Empty plates were taken almost immediately and waters were filled.

Food was excellent especially for the value, the view is unbeatable! We had the opportunity to eat by the water, it really was a top notch experience.

Since our wedding, many of our guests have commended this restaurant as their go to for all future dinners. This makes me super happy as a host and a bride to know that we picked the right vendor for our special day!

Thank you Jeff and all the hardworking staff. The bartender absolutely killed it! With 130 people, the whole restaurant was flipped in less than 30 minutes at the end of the night. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

It’s on the 2nd floor! It’s got an amazing view of lake, and comfortable seating. Overall, Good selections of authentic Cantonese dim sum, excellent quality with good ambiance and service.

Dim Sums are ordered from a list instead of push carts. The pro is everything is made to order and served hot, the con is it takes a while for food to come out. Also, we got the desserts first and we had to wait a while for the spareribs, kind of upside down. My suggestion is to leave off the sweets and add them at the middle of the meal.

No prices are shown for the individual items only category such as Small, Large, Special, etc. I am posting my bill as a reference. Also, everything we ordered were very good, and highly recommended.

- Curry cuddle fish: relatively unique item for dim sum, served with delicious curry sauce

- Siu Mai: excellent quality with a shrimp on top

- Steamed Duck Egg Yolk bun: amazing dessert! Served hot with egg yolk oozing out like lava!

- Fried Todu stuffed with Shrimp: shrimp paste fried with tofu, slightly crunch and hot outside, tofu is hot and sof inside

- Steamed spareribs: one of the standard dim sum items, theirs is substantial and tasty with healthy dose of garlic

Tip: if you like to sit by the window but not available and nobody else is waiting, it’s worthwhile to wait for a few minutes since normally spaces get free up fairly quickly.

Restroom: (only went to Men’s) was a little dark but it’s relatively clean. 4/5 stars. My wife said the ladies side was not as dark.

Parking: plenty of underground parking, but no validation (!)
