Pearl Oakville Chinese Cuisine

I wouldn't recommend this place. First off, the service not good. My parents got their entrees 20 minutes before I got mine. By the time my food arrived, they had already finished eating - this was not okay.

As for the food, the sesame honey chicken that I paid $30 for tasted the exact same as the kind I get from Manchu Wok for $10. Do yourself a favour and go up to the food court at Oakville Place instead.

Still, it’s very pricy. Almost doubling the prices of other similar restaurants in the area.
With over $80 per person for mildly above average food quality and normal restaurant atmosphere, I would not recommend this place and would not come back.

Went there today. The food was not bad and the service was very good. The reason I’m giving a 3️ is because of the price. It’s a little bit over priced for this kind of food. It’s likely to be twice the price of other dim sum restaurants. We didn’t expect to spend over $160 on dim sum for just two people.

This place was amazing and so gorgeous! The food was delicious and staff was incredible. We chose Pearl Oakville to celebrate our daughter's baptism last October 2022. The manager Stanley was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with, he and the restaurant had exceeded all our expectations. We had about 60-70 guests and every single one raved about the food and service. We ordered about 7 or 8 dishes for each table and Each dish was brought out in a timely matter to make sure it came out fresh and hot. We also brought our own small centre pieces and decor to personalize the space and Stanley and his staff gladly decorated the space before we arrived. Everyone who worked there was so kind and service was impeccable. We would definately go to Pearl again -thank you for your service and for making our daughter's baptism beautifully memorable.

This was our second time at Pearl. The food is quite good although definitely on the pricier side. They don't take weekend reservations online and I was taken by surprise when, on Sunday, we were asked if we have a reservation. Clarity on the website to say reservations are available by phone would be appreciated.

We happened to be there on Chinese New Year and were given a bit of a dragon show. However, the show spent like 10 minutes in the mall and then another 10 minutes with the more private rooms. We have up on the dragon coming by our window table and went on with our day.

We'll be back as the dim sum options in Hamilton aren't the best. Hopefully next time we can secure a reservation online.

I always warn people that the Pearl is expensive, and it is. Lol but the reality is you get what you pay for. Their food quality, proportions and service are superior. Also, they have a great bank of windows that allow natural light in. They take reservations so you dont have to stand there all day. Overall, it's great.if you don't mind paying the higher prices.

I love the review here that says the quality is the same as other GTA all you can eat sushi restaurants or that I can get the same at Costco. Ummm…. Last I checked Japanese and Chinese are actually different cultures. Good one buddy you are a person of the world.

Anyways this is the same owners as Pearl Restaurant in Toronto in Queens Quay. It’s a good restaurant and is a higher end Chinese restaurant (not to be confused with all you can eat sushi restaurants). Quality is great and is authentic fare. Nice to have an authentic Chinese restaurant (not to be confused with an all you can eat sushi restaurant or Chinese food at Costco?) in Oakville. Arguably better than any in Mississauga and can go toe to toe with higher quality restaurants in Markham. But in seriousness, the food is really good here. It is served hot and fresh. We’ve had many different dishes here and have not been disappointed.

A little bit on the pricier side but the quality is there.we ordered the 10 meal set and reserved the room for our 1.5hr limit stay.will come here again for dim sum or just another dinner outing

Pretty comparable to the one on harbourfront, but without the view. Decor is a Hong Kong upper echelon aesthetic. Service is good. Dim sum is good, but not Lai Wah Heen good. Fairly expensive, but overall worth the money. And there's really no competition at this level in Oakville.

Good location and plenty of parking. Good service and food quality is not bad. Prices are more expensive than the average Chinese restaurant in the areas. They serve authentic Chinese food. Their dim sum is not bad. The restaurant is clean.

Prices are hidden.seafood fried rice is $27. Small portion and food is okay. Service is not friendly. Go somewhere else for dim sum!

Went in about 11: 45 am on Saturday - the place was somewhat full. We made selection of the Dim Sum menu which was the only one offered. S, M, - we were told reference the price. Everything came out very hot and was very tasty. Staff were very effective at removing dishes once we were done. I look forward to returning.

I was not able to eat it. I only ordered the chicken rice, a beef noodle dish and fried rice. Tiny Sprig rolls that were alright.

The staff was very accommodating and helpful, and the dishes were tasty. Had a good first time experience here, hoping my next few will be the same.

You can find the more common dim sum but other than that the selection isn't great. Although those available are well made with exception to flaky skin pastries imho. The BBQ pork pastrie and egg tart I ordered could have been better.

Very good dim sum! Best shrimp slippery noodles, sticky rice and custard tarts I’ve had. VERY expensive! Over $100 for dim sum for 2!

Most delicious and authentic Chinese food that I’ve had here in Canada. The staff is also very kind and attend to you right away.

I have been there 4 times for business lunch since they opened. As a Chinese from a northern province of China, I love their food myself, my companions were all from southern province, two of them are from Hong Kong (where dim-sim comes from), they told me the food was very authentic and of good quality.

I wasn’t going to write a review until I saw many 1 star view complaining about the portion and the taste. I just want to say something from a different perspective.

So dim-sim is supposed to be of a small portion (3-4 pieces to share, so you can order several plates to try different things)

As to the taste, I found it very personal. Some Chinese restaurants in town are popular among my local friends, but me and my Chinese friends are not a fan because the recipe and ingredients have been adjusted to suit a western stomach, they are not authentic Chinese food to us (which I understand).

Are they expensive? Yes, a little bit pricey. It is a fine dining restaurant, the space and interior design is included in the bill too.

We haven’t experienced any bad service at all.

We are from Canton, China. The taste of this restaurant is the same as Canton, so it is delicious. You can have the real Chinese food here, not the fake One. The dining environment is good. The staff and the service are good.

The first dine-in in Oakville as new comers. The experience with Pearl 明珠轩was fabulous. We have the lunch here while we browsing through Oakville Place. It’s located in the corner of Oakville Place but its taste should locate in the center. I feels like in Guangdong’s local restaurant and the food was amazing for the cozy noon. I will definitely go there again.
