I go in with a friendly attitude but am often greeted by an employee who is just arrogant. She speaks to me as tho I am stupid. I don't profess to be anyone special, but it would be nice not to feel as though I'm a nobody and am there to take your precious time away from you. My family will not be returning to purchase anything else.

Disgusted! Avoid at all cost if you are a young person please do not go to this location. They do not work to help solve issues and turn young people away making false statements and refusing services. We just moved to the area and as a large family in need of glasses and contacts we had high hopes for Pearl Vision. Unfortunately the Manager here is less than helpful. Find another place or buy on Clearly.ca

I will give two stars because the first half of my experience was satisfactory, aside from waiting a while to be helped as it seems they only have 2 employees. This was my first time at Pearl Vision. I will say I have a heavier prescription, and I always purchase thinnest possible lenses. My current glasses are proof that it is possible to create large framed glasses that are not super thick and heavy. I showed my current glasses to the sales person and asked if the frames I picked will have lenses like my current glasses and she said yes they have "Pearl Elite" lenses which is their thinnest lense. Happy with my new frame choice, I paid for the glasses.mostly covered by insurance. I came back 3 weeks later to pick up the new glasses and immediately I could see the lenses were super thick and heavy and when I put them on, I knew they were not right. I expressed that it was like "looking through a fish eye lense" I was told I just needed to get used to them. I have been wearing glasses for 25 years. NEVER have I ever had new glasses that were that distorted and uncomfortable to look through. I was continually told I needed to get used to them. So I left wearing them, and had them for the weekend. By Monday I knew they were just not right, and aside from them being super thick and heavy, I went to return the glasses. I was issued my refund without much fuss, but was told it was because of my choice of frames and high prescription that I would have the same issue wherever I went. Which clearly was not the case since then I have bought large frames, with thin lenses and I didn't have any visual distortions. ALAS I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to have the money sent back by cheque to my insurance company. Well it's now been almost 10 weeks. My boyfriend who usually deals with insurance company claims called our insurance to see if they had received the money back from Pearl Vision, and they said they had not, so he called the store to inquire more information about what was going on. Unfortunately he was talked to with much attitude and sass regarding our issue as if he could care less, making comments like " well thats why most people just keep the glasses even if they're unhappy because its so difficult to get your money back. " and "your refund is probably sitting on some persons desk and forgotten about" which left me feeling very uneasy as if I would never receive my refund. Long story short. I had to jump through several hoops with their parent company to get through to someone about getting my money back and I am STILL in the process of waiting for my money. Don't be fooled into thinking its a safe place to shop because of this "satisfaction guaranteed" slogan.they will take your money, make cheap glasses and then when you want your money back, they make you jump through hoops and give up your first born child to get it back.

Bonnie is an absolute gem of an associate. She tactfully navigated my concerns and presented product options with a completely open and needs-based approach. I appreciated her guidance and found assurance in how she explained how the store would support modifications if needed. Thank you for a great experience Bonnie!
