Loving and honest staff who are passionate about caring for animals. Courteous, fast, professional conduct and I truly believe they do what's best for the animals they care for.

Just want to say how happy I am to have the Pembroke animal hospital as my vet. They are caring, friendly, and great with my pet. I’ve been seeing this team for many years and I am pleased with their service

Since my husband and I were posted into Petawawa we have brought out pets to Pembroke Animal Hospital. They have been nothing but amazing for our 3 pets. I could not thank them enough for all they have done for me and my pets. Always kind, available for questions and compassionate. Pongo and Perdita are always happy to see their vet and the staff!

This vet clinic is fantastic. I attend for cat care. Have been a client for several years with good care. But today, I was amazed and beyond grateful for the above and beyond care provided in an emergency. My kitty got a hold of a fishing lure while we were prepping for a move. It got caught in his mouth and we all started panicking. We called first thing in the morning and were grateful to be offered an immediate time for our kitty. The staff and get all were wonderful, kind and quickly helped us to get our kitty free from harm. Thank you to the whole team

The secretaries treat people horribly and act like they care about the pets, but only want the money. Constantly trying to add to the bill, meds and treatments not needed. They Gave my cat a leukaemia test without asking me and came back with a charge of over $300 I wasn’t prepared for. The cat was showing no symptoms and was there for a regular check up. I found a kitten hit by a car and crippled. I called them for help. Without seeing the cat, they said they would put it down. Two years later, the cat is healed and fine and has seen another vet who cared for it. Peppermint patty…take some advice and stop referring to people as “love”.

I've experienced many challenges here.
1) they misdiagnosed my daughter's cat with a heart murmur and pushed expensive procedures to check on the heart murmur. My daughter denied the procedures and chose to keep an eye on it. A month later when her cat was to receive its booster vaccines, the technician said there was no heart murmur.
2) they gave our dog tests multiple times without my permission during COVID. On one occassion, my dog has just received eye surgery from a opthalmologist in Ottawa. My dog had just gotten his stitches on his eyes removed, and Pembroke animal hospital once again ran tests on his eyes without asking. After politely expressing that it frustrated me because I did not want that test, the staff said, "at least you know the results of the test. " Again, I knew what the results of the test would be because he was literally at the specialist days before the appointment in Pembroke. The staff begrudgingly and rudely told me that aren't charging me for it.
3) I was called on multiple occasions for appointments that were unnecessary. One appointment, the staff wanted to place my dog under general anesthesia so they could get a closer examination of my dogs eyes. Again, the office was I'll equipped to handle his condition, yet they wanted to proceed to evaluate him and place him under unnecessary conditions. I requested a referral to Ottawa instead, advocating for my pet.
4) I was told my dog required anti-inflammatory eye drops for two weeks prior to them examining his eye. I refused this as well, and requested the referral. At the Ottawa specialist appointment, they explained how anti-inflammatory eye drops could have caused ulcers in his eyes due to the friction.
5) they consistently misdiagnosed my dogs eyes, and skin conditions. They always requested the most expensive and unnecessary route.
6) my daughter's cat got spayed at a low cost clinic in Brockville. My daughter's cat removed her own stitches and required immediate care. Pembroke animal hospital refused to care for my daughter's cat, even though she's a client and had all her up to date vaccinations through their office. This was the final straw for me.
I understand accidents happen, however, this location doesn't seem to care. The staff is unapologetic and pushy. I never felt confident in their diagnoses on any of my animals. I have since relocated all of my animals to an alternate vet that instills a great deal of confidence, kindness, and care.

They are very caring, and gave us all the options. Sadly we had no option but we had to euthanize our beloved Roxy.

Great place to bring your pets
I moved during covid, nobody would take me as new client but them. And I drive an hour to get there, so far I'm happy with them and the price is fair too.

Today I said goodbye to my best buddy Dexter. It was extra stressful and emotional to go through this because I had lost my wife 3 weeks prior. The empathy and care the staff showed Dexter and I was so appreciated. Most businesses treat you like a customer, they treated me like family.

I had to bring my cat in because he hates my financial stability or racoons or both. Probably both. He's kind of a jerk. Anyway they managed to make room for him the day I called. Dr Green made sure I stayed informed throughout the ordeal and I am happy to say that the cat came out of it in tip top shape. Staff are friendly and helpful. They also keep good records so I don't have to remember specific details of previous visits because again the cat is a jerk to other animals. Also he is labelled as "difficult" in his file and the staff are always friendly with him. I have been bringing my little ginger a-hole to this vet for about 10 years for both annual vax and checkups as well as when he gets hurt. I will continue to do so. Last thing to say is I'm a fan of the brand of pet food they carry.

Don’t bring your pet here. They ignore all concerns, & lack customer service. Money grab. They do not respect your business or money. They WILL get you to pay 100s of dollars for anti-biotics for an unexamined wound that has no signs of infection. And then demand another appointment be made for the wound to then finally be examined. Every time we have brought our beloved pet here he has not received the value of our money.

Pembroke Animal Hospital takes great care of both our dogs. Very accommodating, helpful, kind, thoughtful and truthful. Especially through the pandemic, taking great steps to keep everyone safe.

Won't accept new animals. If anyone is moving to the area. Pembroke has attorcieous veterinarian services for new residents
