If I could give 0 stars I would. The most rude staff, extremely cold in nature. Sure they have great cards and memorabilia but the customer experience is what matters most. They said not to take pictures of things (since I was going to reference back to it incase I wanted to buy something in the future) I surely won’t be coming back or supporting them ever again. Take your money people and support another business that is more inviting. Whoever is running the place should be absolutely ashamed in the manners of that place.

Horrible customer service. The owner is extremely rude and the store smells awful. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Awesome store, they have a large variety of comics, pop figures and more. My kids love it here and its nice since we live so close.

Very friendly owner. Brought some comic to sell, nothing special, and figured he probably wouldn't want them, He didn't but it was still a nice respectful "no" and like other place like pawn shops and other comic and collectible places that I've dealt with over the years. This was the only place were the staff didn't act like they are above me and I was just a stupid peasant. So the only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because he didn't buy anything from me.

Owners not very nice when you come in with young children even if they are behaving, parents beware.

I don't know much about comics, but it seems like a very cool shop for people who collect or on the lookout for that unique gift! Everything is on display to enjoy and customer service was great

Didn't feel welcomed. Was stared at by employees and was not offered help. Immediately left since they feel biased towards who walks in.

Edit: Decided to give a second chance. New location in the mall is bigger and nicer. Still did not feel welcomed. Employees look at you suspiciously and don't even bother to greet you. Small selection of back issues. Lots of CGC comics that are overpriced. Not worth a third trip.

Best Local Comic Shop in the area! Regular pull lists for regulars. They carry all the comics, Pokemon and Magic cards, Funko Pops, and all the supplies you need…. Pendragon!

Knowledgeable staff that share great affection for Stan the man. Friendly service.
Located in Cloverdale mall so lots of free parking.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
CALLED IN ADVANCED AND INSTRUCTED TO COME IN.
DROVE 45 mins to be told by the gentleman with long hair and glasses that the person who I should speak with isn’t here (manager).
I asked if He was the one I spoke with on the phone and he confirmed he was.
Appolagized for wasting my drive and said “most people don’t end up coming in”
THANK YOU SIR
You cannot assume and hold people accountable for other one’s actions.

Great selection BUT OVERPRICED simple research will tell you mostly all his comics are about 3 to 5 times there worth.shop elsewhere

I was on a treasure hunt for some missing books and Pendragon had almost everything I was looking for and more. They had a bunch of variant covers that I ended up not being able to resist either. The store is clean and well organized and there's lot of options from new release comics to toys, to vintage material as well. Prices were good, even on the back issues. Would highly recommend checking it out.

Bought a few funko pops here. This store has by far the best priced pops i've witnessed and i've been to a bunch of stores! I'll be back soon! Got lots more i want to buy!

Whether you like to draw dragon read about dragons or you're not really a dragon fan and you just prefer Spider-Man LOL then this is your stop!
I have been a fan of tabletop games comic books and most things popular since I was young in fact my name is Benjamin and I am born on May 4th so people call me master Benjamin from Star Wars. ‍️?
This is a great place to go if you're looking to spend some money whether it be on collectible Trading Card an action figure or comic book! Just be mindful this is not a library LOL. So I would encourage people that imagination is a wonderful thing and you could always come to this store not only to get comic books and expand your horizons but to try something new like Magic the Gathering or other games that would inspire you and help you not only discover more about yourself but the gaming community and make new friends.

Thanks to the hard-working staff and everybody continue to remember life is an adventure.

This incident happened at the old Lakeshore Store. I actually thought the store closed down, until I happenstance met a former employee at Fan Expo 2021 and informed me, the store is now located at a mall. Darcy the owner has lost a customer for years. The final straw for me was after showing interest for a beautiful 8.0 CGC (? #?) Silver Age book that was grossly overpriced. The same book on eBay was a thousand $$$ less, and dropping in speculative value. I also saw the same graded books with the comparative online prices at Gotham Central and Paradise Comics. After pointing this out, he whips out his tablet/laptop, thus going on eBay and shows the completed sales history ended several months ago with their completed HIGH $$$ sales and told me that was his prices, plus factoring the currency value and shipping that would be cumulative, justifies his pricing decisions. However, even if I factor those in.waiting and hoping to snag the same graded copy would still be a good buy compared to his. I respect Darcy as a suave retailer, but when I stood there pondering his justification, his patience waned and blurted "take it or leave it. I won't lose sleep if It don't sell.there's others who will want it". Humiliated and rejected, I left very disappointed, but did grab the same graded book at Paradise Comics. With the extra near thousand dollars saved, I was able to grab another Silver Age CGC 4.0 want list book. If you're looking for a respective comic establishment within Ontario, I would highly recommend Gotham Central, Paradise Comics, Canadian Comic Bin, The Dragon of Guelph, Heroes in London and Carry On Comics in Kitchener.

Top rated service, super helpful they are a great bunch to talk to! An etobicoke staple for sure

Been a great place to get comics and related things for years, even before they were at Cloverdale.
26 December 2021 12:39
The owner is rude and arrogant, the books are beat up and overpriced. If you want to feel unwelcome and cold go to this place. The back issues were beat up and being charged 5x their worth. Owner thinks he knows and has everything, bunch of old fat men playing board games they need to find a a woman! Hopefully they can change but I doubt it miserable people tend to stay the same. Owner should be nicer and treat everyone the same, collectors who spend money come in all shapes and colours! Don’t go here!

Dealt with Darcy. He was so informative and helpful with comic book purchase. Definitely coming back!

I'm not really a comic book guy but if I was I would definitely check this shop out. It is jam packed with comics and related magazines and memorabilia. There is some selection of sports cards but seems more towards the comic book end of things. But I do come but and purchase a handful of baseball packs. The shop also sells sleeves and accessories for your collections and storage. There's not much in Cloverdale but it's worth visiting this shop for your collecting fixes.

Great selection, You'll find all the newest comic book and even a few classics and hidden gems.

Great to see the new store in a location that they can thrive! Great store for both new and vintage books. Great selection. Could add more sports cards though. Highly recommend!

Knowledgeable staff and great selection of silver and golden age material. Owner helpful and almost always present

A little gem in Cloverdale Mall. Big selection of back issues especially of higher end books. More of an actual comic book store and less of toys and figures.

They recently moved to a new location, inside Cloverdale mall (itself a better than expected experience vs impressions of the mall looking from the outside). If you're looking for comics, collectibles, games, give Pendragon a try - I've been pretty happy with them in the last year or so.

+ EDITED - also great prices for trade paperbacks

+ Solid back issues collection, the first place I go these days when I'm looking for relatively rare or just odd vintage stuff that no one cares to keep in inventory

+ Owner is quite knowledgeable and passionate. Can take a while to get to know the people at the store but great to chat with once they get to know you

+ Decent hours and open - parking situation is MUCH better than the other stores nearby after the move

+ The new location also has a gaming section and a shelves of trade paperbacks that's the owner says he's intending to grow - prices pretty decent

+/- Pull list is $10/year or $30/lifetime (I recall, don't quote me). Not free but I think these could be covering the risk of people not picking up stuff. Given the challenges these days in the retail industry and seeing bookstores that keep closing, happy to support local businesses. Service has been solid with no issues with orders

Great selection with excellent customer service. Perfect way to re-live my childhood and add to my collection!
21 September 2019 9:16
Friendly staff and they carried a lot of recent and some harder to find/older collected editions!

Typical comic store from my youth. My three girls found some good kids comics and I started a box. Solid start.
10 September 2019 23:43
They have a very nice selection of old and new comics, albeit the store was very disorganized. Because of the mess I was unable to reach certain sections and drawers that apparently contained books that I would have been interested in. The gentleman though nice enough, didn't seem to really care. Also he wouldn't let me look inside and check the condition of the silver age comics I wanted to buy, so I left without making any purchases. I'm a very serious collector and I need to see the condition of a fifty year old book before I buy it. I was very disappointed.

Update:
I made a return visit about 6 months ago, the place was cleaned up and the gentleman behind the counter let me look inside the silver and bronze ages books i was interested in purchasing. So i added a star because my second visit was more positive.

I've been going to this shop since the mid 90s and is the only comic book shop left on Lakeshore. Comics are up to date and in stock. They have a selection of board games as well. Very dependable.
26 February 2019 23:21
Went to sell comics and was lowballed. Tried to tell me my graded comic from cgc was the wrong grade.lol who's the professional? Its really close to me but i would rather travel than deal with a rude owner.

It is so great to have a classic comic book shop in our neighbourhood. I love taking my kids to the shop and look through the new comics and reminisce about my collecting days. The staff are all great and super helpful and friendly whenever we go. If you don't live in Etobicoke it's worth the drive out here to drop in.
