I have used this company twice and am would definitely recommend it. Al is very responsive, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.
The cable on one of my garage doors snapped from corrosion over the weekend. I called Al Saturday morning and he was right there to help. My garage door was not standard, so he had to get the right parts. Even then, he was at my house first thing Monday morning with all the parts and everything was done quickly, professionally and hassle-free. 20+ year old garage door malfunctioned and needed repair or replacement. Al responded to my Homestars job request immediately and arranged to personally come and provide quotation within a day. Al explained the issue with our door, provided us with all the options with a new garage door and provided very transparent pricing as well as his honest recommendations. For example Al said our garage door opener is still in good shape and doesn’t need replacement. Penguin’s pricing is better than other quotes we received; we also chose to work with Penguin because it’s a local small business where we’re dealing directly with the owner. On installation day, Al and his team were very professional and efficient. The entire process took about one week. We are very happy with the final result and would work with Penguin again.

Al and his team were great. All came over the next day of me contacting him to give me a quote on 2 garage doors. He was thorough in all the options and was very professional. We were interested in black doors, which he informed would take a bit longer to order, but would come around Christmas. The doors came in a week early and AL installed them immediately.
