Overall pretty disappointed with my experience with the team at this location.
I ordered a ring set online that was apparently delivered to a mail box that they didn't check, so I never received notification that they had it.
Once I called and they located the set, I went in to pick it up and the woman was less than helpful with any information about the set.
Apparently since I purchased the set online, they couldn't help me with any info regarding appraisal certificate, warranty info or the extended warranty I purchased. And, the warranty doesn't even show up in their system since I bought it online.
Doesn't make sense to me, seemed more like they just weren't interested in helping since they didn't get the commission.

I have been calling your Masonville location since 11: 43 am December 28th, 2023. I had my wedding ring sent off for a repair November 10th, 2023. I was calling to see if my ring was back. No one answers this location, I have still not gotten an answer and its now 4pm. I called the White Oaks location once and got an answer. They informed me that my ring doesn't even look like its been sent off as I never had photos sent to my email which is your store policy, before sending a ring off. I am incredibly frustrated with the service at this location.

Absolutely terrible service. Warning DO NOT take your things here for warranty if they want you to call them they will never pick up the phone.

Customer service has been very poor at Peoples Masonville Mall. I brought my ring in for a new band July 5th and 7 weeks later I still have no new info as to when the ring will arrive and I have engagement pictures next week. Ring is still at the vendor and management at the store neglected to email us about additional information the vendor needed to complete the repair. After giving lots of grace, I called and explained it has been 6 weeks and the ring is still sitting at the vendor (was suppose to be back July 27). I was told it would be expressed and here by last week but that did not happen. Maria the manager promised me a phone call to explain information about what was going on and completely neglected to call me back. This has completely ruined my engagement experience and will never go back to Peoples in the future.

We were having issues locating the receipt for my engagement ring and Pamela took the time to help us retrieve the proper documentation to continue our diamond bond. She was so patient and spent over half an hour with a customer service rep on live chat. Eventually we were able to get the proper info and we are so grateful for her help! Amazing customer service!

Hilda helped me pick out a beautiful set of earrings as well as a stunning ring. She explained the value in the extended warranty so I know my gems will be protected. Can't wait to come back and pick out some more beautiful items in the future.

I recently purchased a pair of gold earrings as a gift for my mother. They are everything I hoped and more - beautiful, elegant and delicate-looking. When I came in to get them I was so pleased that they looked identical to the picture on the Peoples website! My Mama is going to love them! They ordered my WEDDING band WRONG. We met with Lacrecia to find our wedding band for our wedding coming up, we found one and she offered us 10% off. We then called to place our order with the manager of the store and she then told us she wouldn't be honouring the 10% off. When we came into the store to pick up my band it was THE WRONG GOLD. Massive issue. Our wedding is a destination and we're on a time crunch. We now had to re order my ring in the correct colour of gold. It may not even come in on time because of a mistake the manager made. The manager has not called us even once to follow up or apologize for her huge mistake. We should have been followed up on several times and offered more than the initial 10% that she didn't even want to honour. We should be getting this ring at a way larger discount or at least something like earrings etc for the anxiety and issues this has caused for our upcoming wedding. I spent all night freaking out and crying as this could massively impact our wedding all because the MANAGER of the store couldn't order our $5000 ring correctly. This isn't a fun gift it's a wedding and an extremely expensive ring. Incredibly upset and disappointed. Beyond.

Maria was fantastic and beyond helpful. She helped us pick out a great ring and explained the warranty and features of different rings pertaining to their lifespan, and wear and tear very thoroughly. Go see Maria at Peoples! We were very happy!

Rude staff, lousy customer service. This store does not deserve to stay in business, take yours elsewhere. EDIT - I appreciate the follow up but I’ve wasted enough time in your store and writing this review already. You know what to do if you want to improve.

I absolutely love this store. I always have a great time with the sales people who work there. They pretty much know who I am and make me feel welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend going to this store

I don't generally leave negative reviews as I own a business myself and know how ridiculous they can be but I feel compelled to explain how truly irritating the staffing at this location is. I dropped my wedding set off on Oct 17th for repair and plating. I was completely ignored at first until everyone else had left the store and then finally I was served. The woman working seemed annoyed I was there for repair and not a sale. Her tune changed a bit when she discovered I had warranty on my pieces. After what seemed like 45 mins plus I left with my paperwork and was told it would be a few weeks. Today I checked the status online (3 weeks later) and both repairs were canceled with no explaination. I phone in to inquire and was told a voice-mail was left for me a few days ago (we did not receive any calls or voicemails). The gal goes on to say the repair was canceled because it required something not covered by warranty and an estimate was sent. I ask about my other ring which was sent for plating and that one was also canceled and I'm put on hold several times and hung up on. I call back and am told they need to look into it and will call me back in an hour. NO ONE CALLS BACK. So now my precious jewelry is just sitting at the repair center wherever that is and now I'm going to have to waste more of my time showing up there and demanding it all be returned which will likely end up taking months. If this was my branch, heads would be rolling. Don't bother purchasing jewelry from People's and if you do, do not bother getting warranty because they find ways to weasel out of it constantly. After reading all the previous reviews my mind is blown that this is how they treat people and their most important of jewels. Very upsetting.

We’ve had nothing but issues since purchasing a ring. The ring is beautiful but I wouldn’t recommend Peoples to anyone after dealing with them.

Worst service ever.
I ordered a watch in store & it then got cancelled because of “no inventory”.

I checked back on the website & it still says “in stock”. I personally had to call the store & customer service to let them know about their false advertising. They could not honour their price on the website. Customer service would tell me to call the store manager & then the store manager would tell me to customer service. No one wants to help.
The customer service told me a supervisor would call me within 24 hours & 48 hours later no call or REFUND BACK!

When I went to the store, the employee was no help!

I would never shop or order from this store again.

Stopped by to get specialty backings for my diamond earrings purchased at Peoples, the older gentleman there would not even care why am I here. His suggestion was to go to Clare's or Shoppers to secure my diamond earnings! As a someone who used to work for the company this was extremely embarrassing experience. Terrible customer service!
Thankfully, the Mappings store at the mall was much more helpful in assisting me.

Nicole and the Team provided fantastic customer service. With my own funny story to tell. An amazing story to tell. I've had the same pair of screwback diamond earrings since 2005. Never lost them once. Until yesterday. I took them out to clean. I normally leave them in. So I Put them back on not as tight. Went my day got home went to play video games had my headset on even, didn't notice til I went to bed that the backing was off but the earring stayed in my ear. So I figured it must of just came out. I tore apart my room trying to find it, swept the house everything. Nothing. I had given up. So today I call people's Jewelry in Masonville, to do a curbside apt with Nicole. They tried atleast 50 backings Nothing fit. So I agreed to leave it with them for a few weeks for the jeweler to fix. The story doesn't end there. I am driving home with one earring in. I decide to go to the gas station to play my lotto numbers for tonight. Something told me to just take a look in my car. So I checked in between the seats nothing. Checked the dirty floor mats Nothing. Lifted up my driver's side floor mat and guess what was sitting right on the carpet, THE BACKING, I felt like a settler discovering gold for the first time. So, that means it came out somehow in my travels, rolled underneath a place I may have never looked. The earring could of fallen out at any point in my travels, but stayed in my ear all the way til bed time. Even despite me taking on and off my mask and my gaming head set which covers that ear. Could of been a billion places. I called them back in excitement and went back and got my earring from people's. They couldn't believe it. They said you better buy that ticket. I told them it's the only pair of earrings I've never lost in almost 20 years, til now and turns out I still haven't. One of my longest prized possessions that has been with me through so many things. Now tell me things don't happen for a reason. It's like that story about the needle in a haystack. I have always found earrings never ever the backings. Would of cost me $60 to replace instead now I'm buying a lotto ticket. These earrings were custom made for me. Cheers to People's for being a good sport and dealing with this curbside crazyness.

Always treated like we are family. We feel at home when we visit Peoples, and Nicole the manager at Peoples / Masonville Mall, is awesome. All of the employees are great. I have to say, we like Nicole so much that we let other people in line, get helped before us, just so we can talk to Nicole. LOL When you get service like we do at Peoples, you really don't think of going anywhere else, because well, why?

We had such a good experience here. My fiancée and I came to this people’s location pick out an engagement ring together.

From the moment we called to inquire if they had certain rings in stock, the person over the phone was so very helpful & kind.they even told us who they recommend we speak to when we come in.

Liz was absolutely amazing in helping us in store! She listened to what I liked and made suggestions accordingly & when I asked for her opinion it felt very genuine, at no time did it ever feel ‘sales motivated’. I never felt rushed to make a decision and she was really wonderful in answering our question / concerns.

Highly recommend!
