Awful food and mediocre service. Probably had expectation a bit due to the reviews here. The pasta was very greasy and the milk inside the drink tasted strange. The portion is small. Guess all these are the trade off of the price.

A good place to grab a quick afternoon bite.

I think that this place has a unique twist on traditional hong kong restaurants, which is flavorful and delicious.i really liked the vermicelli that they offer, it's not the usual threadlike hard rice noodle, it's chewier in a good way.on the other hand, though, they do well at replicating the best / typical things of hong kong cafe food.for example, the sandwiches come in thickly sliced bread, which i think is more fluffy and tastes better than thin toast.they also managed to make the french toast taste basically the same as the ones you get in hong kong, much better than the other places in the gta.

Warm and tasty Hk style restaurant.yummy food in very reasonable price, nice customer service.and one more thing that you will know when you visit there.

The food is OK. The price is affordable. Parking is difficult. The shop is too small and the seats are limited.

Love the food here. I’ve been here multiple times and they never disappoint. This beautiful fried chicken dish with salad, roti and curry sauce is more than worth it for $12.99. It tastes absolutely as good as it looks. Their cart noodles is one of our favourites!

The worst service ever. No greetings and they barely communicate to you.

Also, the food wasn’t that good and the place doesn’t seems clean to me. Would not recommend this place.

The fun of going to the office is I can go to Pepper Wok for lunch. Hannanese chicken on rice is a must try, their rice was cooked with coconut milk, and the dipping sauce was just amazing. Pairing it with a couple of Hong Kong milk tea. The heaven.

First time visiting and their Food are best quality in town! Will definitely return. I love their decorations + friendly staff.

The "Tan Tan Noodles in Soup with Pork Chop" 排骨擔擔麵 is SUPER! Will definitely come back

I get takeout from Pepper Wok regularly since the pandemic started. Food is always yummy and portions are more than generous. Definitely a HK cafe.
Dined in for the first time today and food is even better fresh! Service is great. It’s a weekday so the waitresses were very attentive. Social distance available between tables. They checked vaccine receipt and ID.

Tried their Hoi Nam Chicken Rice today, it's great the portion is good it feed me well. Add Oil! ️️!

Great pandemic safety measures, limited seats available for dining. Foods were good and excellent service.

Horrible attitude, only speaks Cantonese and refuses to speak English. Food is as bad as it gets.

We ordered some take out from their combo menu for dinner. The food was tasty and the portion was reasonable. Each combo came with a complimentary soup and drink. They needed almost 20mins to prepare the food so, its better to call ahead before you goto pick up your food.

A small restaurant, not high end. Service is good, will advise us not to add extra dishes right away. Food portion are reasonable compare to pricing.

I have been visiting this place for years even before the politically-related events. We first visited this restaurant when we lived close by and we kept coming back after having moved twice! Lots of variety on their menu, delicious food. Hainanese chicken rice is my kids' favorite, you can taste the coconut aroma coming from the rice. I like their pork chop and curry too. The Chinese soup 老火湯 that comes with the meals is a huge bonus!

The Chinese name of the restaurant is "Hello everyone", but the staff's attitude is “Bye everyone”. Forget the price increases and additions, she (employee) criticized and judged the items we ordered in our faces, how rude and unprofessional.

She originally said it would cost an additonal $2 to modify protein from satay chicken to satay beef, which I agreed to. She proceeded to immediately shake her head to express her disapproval, loudly questioning the way we spend money. She finally said "the kitchen does not make satay beef".

Just like the last time we visited, we felt insulted and disrespected from the moment we walked in.

In the end we didn't eat, turned around and left. The employee also looked innocent and felt she did nothing wrong, that we were the problem. I wonder how many customers they have offended in this manner. I hope the boss will read this review, address these issues, and improve employee morale.

We ended up dining another restaurant in the plaza. Though the prices were similar and the service is average, at least paying customers are appreciated and treated with basic human respect.

Seeing other comments about the boss's attitude being no different from the rest of the employees, this is most likely a lost cause. There's really no reason to dine here.

員工本來說如改沙爹牛要加＄2，我同意了。她立馬搖頭表示驚訝/驚嚇，大聲質疑我們花錢方式。她最後再來一句“廚房不做沙爹牛肉”。

我們從進門就感到被侮辱，不被尊重。跟上次來的經驗一樣。

最後我們沒吃著，轉身走了。員工還一臉無辜覺得自己沒做錯。不知因此得罪了多少客人。希望老闆能看到，改善員工服務態度。

最後去了隔壁餐廳。價錢差不多，服務也一般，但至少不會受到這樣的對待。

(看到別的點評說老闆態度也是一樣，看來沒救了。沒必要再回）

Lots of better options in the same plaza.the portion has gotten smaller and smaller and the prices kept on going up.at this rate in about a year you'd be better eating mcd fries

I grown up in Hong Kong and I would say their Hong Kong style food have excellent quality. They are as good as the ones from Hong Kong if not better.

You can tell the difference compared to the other Hong Kong style restaurant in the area. Their taste just aren’t as good.

Best hainan chicken in town. Price is reasonable with good portion and ingredients. Weekly specials are definitely worth a try. Good milk tea.

A classic, no frills Hong Kong style cafe. The prices are reasonable and the food is reflective of that. The environment is homey, flavours are good, and the wait staff are friendly. Don't come here expecting too much.

Pepper Wok has the look and feel of a traditional Hong Kong-style cafe but unfortunately pairs it with the paired-down menu and premium prices of a newer, semi-fusion restaurant.

My meal did underwhelm, and service, seating and the surroundings were average at best. The milk tea is good though.

It is a good place to get HK food. It's a small place like other typical HK cafes. Food is well priced and thd portions are good (not too big).

Authentic HK cafe restaurant supports HK ppl. Few options for vegetarians tho. I had a sautéed mushroom macaroni soup with just water (it usually comes in chicken stock). My friend had pork chops & sausage w/ black pepper sauce on rice. It was good and with a nice big portion size.

Classic breakfast combo. Sometimes look very healthy and not much taste. It has TV playing HK news!

I had their black pepper sirlon steak with noodle, and the portion is huge for the price. You get like a 12 oz steak for less than 15 at the time, and its great value. Granted its not steak house quality, but its tender and juicy, and a very good steak. I highly recommend.

My favorite HK style cafe! The chef-owner makes everything from scratch, from fish noodles, fish cakes, 回鍋肉 and many more! My favorite: spaghetti and meat sauce (HK style), lemongrass meat and rice, 回鍋肉, red sausage tossed with instant noodles.

Poor service.and food not good.went for breakfast.portion so small.and can't believe how they made the bacon (overcook). Even the servers knows it was not right but they said they were too scare to tell the chef.

So far is good that they have the price like that despite the price already increased to mostly over 10 dollars but still have drink and soup. Taste not too good but acceptable
