Great hidden gem perfect for friends and dates. It’s family-owned and they were proud to say they created everything and even renovated the space themselves.

This place is so completely lovely. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, the good is delicious and reasonably priced, and all the servers there are friendly. My boyfriend and I went for our two year anniversary. They lit a candle for us at our table and they adjusted the thermostat to make sure we were comfortable. Excited to go again during one of their nights of live music!

Absolutly worth the money! Food excellent and affordable prices. Great resto design, cozy, u can have a conversation, thank you for the experience!

1st and and last visit. The chairs were comfy and the washrooms spacious and clean. No thank you.
Lunch menu was given at supper time. Of the few vegetarian options only 1 was available.
Understaffed and confused attendants. My friend had her food 20mins before I did. We ate separately. Some items from our order never came. I was brought the wrong food 3 times before I got my order and the wrong items still ended up on my bill. Hopefully this was isolated but.

Pera Bistro is an amazing restaurant that I visited recently. I have never experienced such high quality in Canada before. Firstly, the menu is simple and the prices are quite reasonable. Secondly, the food is fresh and cooked to order, and it tastes incredibly delicious. Thirdly, the decor is very stylish and the atmosphere is elegant. Lastly, and most importantly, the owners of the restaurant always visit their customers' tables, listen to their opinions, and show a close interest in them. They are always present and in charge of their business. My advice to you is to definitely visit this establishment and try their delicious dishes. Live music is also available on Friday and Saturday evenings.

This place was absolutely breath taking! The decoration really made me feel like I was sitting in a Mediterranean Cafe, the perfect combination of "Mom and Pop" meets "exotic" complete with the videos playing on the television in the background. The food was delicious and the service was the icing on the cake.

Amazing place with beautiful people. The service was warm, friendly and inviting. The wine was well selected, and the food paired beautifully. Would recommend for a birthday dinner, or for a special occasion. Thank you

As someone said in another review, this is a "hidden gem" of a restaurant - a charming bistro with friendly and caring owners.
I have not tried everything on the menu, but I've had the lamb shank, which was delicious, and the pizza, which is in a class of its own. They also support live music! Highly recommended.

Excellent service, excellent food! Our server was super friendly and had lots of patience with my dairy restriction. He catered to my food intolerance 100%.
Food portions are generous and priced well. We went on a Saturday for the live music and it was great! The restaurant's decor is gorgeous and the chairs were very comfortable. I can't say enough good things.we will definitely be back!

If I can rate it zero stars I would. Save your money. I rarely leave a bad review yet my husband and I read the reviews before making a reservation here. Most were positive and we wanted to support a new restaurant. The website said live jazz friday and Saturday - which we love. Thought it would be a nice experience but it was far from it. We come from the restaurant industry and not overly hard to please but this place needs help. Two servers on a Friday night. Both were the owners. Didn’t even know we had a reservation because they don’t look at them (online). Ordered drinks and food at the same time because we knew they were juiced. My soda ($5 btw) never came and my husbands was incorrect. While waiting 40 minutes for our app, 4 other tables came in and left because of the menu / service. Our appetizer was 9 pieces of over fried calamari for $14.50. Dinner came 20 minutes after. Seafood fettuccini was on linguini and had no flavor, maybe 5 pieces of a mix of shrimp and scallops that probably came from a bag. Didn’t eat it all because it was gross ($25) The beef short rib said it came with potatoes and veggies. No potatoes and the veggies and beef were over seasoned to an inedible point (almost $40!). No one quality checked during our entire meal. We had to flag them down constantly for water / correct beverages. We asked for our bill. We told the server/owner the truth about the service and food (as nicely as we could). She didn’t remove anything from our bill, didn’t offer a discount or dessert as other restaurants typically do. I understand they are only 2 months in but sorry to say - don’t waste your money on this place.

Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. We did appetizers and drinks. The menus options were different and they had live music with two great performers. The dining experience was very pleasant with a chill vibe/atmosphere. I celebrated my birthday here with a group and I highly recommend this spot for a date night. Will be back!

Hidden jem in the middle of Kanata. The owner is very accomodating and hosted my wife's birthday with our family and friends. Was amazing food and a beautiful ambiance with live jazz music. I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner or get together!

I just discovered this restourant last week. It has a Midetterranian vibe. The food and service were great! The interiors and exteriors are inviting and cheery. Prices are reasonable. They also have live music on weekend nights - I will check it out with my family soon. A very unique bistro at the Kanata Centrum!

Very friendly atmosphere, kind servers, but food was a little lacking for the price point, drunks took a long time arrive, and one of dishes for a 5 person table took 20 minutes longer, like they forgot the order. Almost there, but sadly a little disappointed.

Veggies on the side means full plate of pasta.

Such a great place, very welcoming owners, live music and great food. Actually, very nice interior too. Absolutely recommended for dinner or event. Visit before or after the movie.

And on top of it - the coffee! Absolutely wonderful.

Not sure where to begin! This has been by far the worst restaurant experience in my life. This restaurant is lacking in good customer service and the food was terrible!

In regards to customer service: Owners/staff running around lost and screwing up orders. We even saw some of the customers got fed-up and left. We should have done the same and saved ourselves the big disappointment. Took forever to take our orders but it came super fast! (see comments below about the food). Complaints about the food was responded by excuses rather than fixing the issues. Seemed like the owners were more concerned about getting paid and covering the cost of the rent rather than keeping customers happy.

In regards to the food: It was even worse than the bad customer service (not sure how was that even possible). We ordered the lamb shank and the sea bass filet. The lamb shank was supposed to be "fall of the bone" according to their menu. It was not even remotely close to that! I needed a knife and the meat was tuff and chewy. I won't even comment on the nasty microwaved sides. The sea bass had the same texture as leather and was completely inedible. It was like it was overcooked and then zapped in the microwave! One bite an that was enough. And to add more salt to the wound we were charged for in full for the food that we did not eat.

We should have read the comments of other customers with similar complaints prior to going. Oh well lesson learned!

Ordered a salmon poke bowl. Got a over cooked chunk of salmon over some lettuce with no dressing. No taste no seasoning. Bland and barely edible and certainly was not a poke bowl. The pasta dish was also bland and not really edible. Pretty disappointing.

This recently opened bistro has a spacious patio which is great for dining. Also the waiter is friendly. We ll visit again soon.

14$ for a very small glass of margarita that came half full and was basically lemon and ice cubes. Scallops and shrimps poorly cooked and dumped into tomato sauce. The best items I ate there were the free peanuts and bread that they give you when you arrive.
On a positive note, the waiter was very nice and the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

Very good dining experience with friendly staff and delicious food. Selection of alcoholic beverages was also worth noting. Afresh and new taste in Kanata

I love this place! Had such a nice time the other night listening to live music and enjoying the delicious food. I had the sea bass and a glass of wine - the best combo for a summer night! Definitely worth stopping by!

Nice service.
Delicious pizzas. Ocean pizza has shrimps, onions mushrooms and more. All pizzas have the wonderful thin crust.

High end decoration and ambiance with attention to detail. Food wee tasty and reasonably priced. We enjoyed lamb chops and Pera plater. Desserts and coffee service with home baked cookies was a great touch. Patio seems to be a good place for refreshers. Friendly service.
