The food was so delicious! The only thing I would mention is that the price range is a bit steep, but considering inflation it makes sense a bit. One kebab dish does not seem equivalent to $32; however, the lamb stew I ordered was well worth the money. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the waitress was very kind. She even offered us complimentary mushroom soup, which was fantastic! Definitely recommend if you are in the area and are tired of regular pub food.

Waiter was friendly enough and tried to be as accommodating as humanly possible. He was nervous He was nervous, so assumed he was new. Unfortunately, he was also poorly trained. When 3 in our party ordered Caesars, they brought them in martini glasses. We were, to say the least, shocked. He went to the kitchen and came back with, “ Most of our customers take Take-out, so we don’t stock enough glasses for these types of drinks”– What? ! I was a little embarrassed as we were treating my dad and his friend to dinner. The food was very good, thank God (& the chef). There was a lot of it, and our daughter took home the leftovers. We were alone in the restaurant, so the staff proceeded to clean while we were finishing our meals, which was a little distracting. Worse, they broke three glasses while doing so. Any hopes of ordering a Caesar there next time is lost!

Such an expensIve restaurant but the food was so bland and the portions was so small. The restaurant decor was quite nice though. There's so much better Persian restaurants in Ottawa than this place - do not come here. This place is a total ripoff.

I spent nearly $200 at this restaurant and could hardly feed 4 people. Although there was A LOT of rice the kabobs were very small. There was not a lot of meat but the quality was great.

The service was excellent. The food was good, the beef was well marinated and tender, but the plate could be better. My plate consisted of what I thought would be cubes of beef but instead it was a flat thin piece. No way I could get medium rare cooking with this. Also too much rice and only a grilled tomato as a vegetable. Order the upgrades.

Decor is very nice, clean, wide open concept.

Server seemed pleasant but the night went from good to bad quickly.
Ordered a couple of drinks, an app and 2 mains. My main arrived first, then the app about 5 minutes later and my wife's main about 15 minutes after the app. No apologies for the service just a ‘the kitchen got slammed’ comment. There were only 25 people in the restaurant.
The food was however delicious, mirzaghasemi, lamb chops and lamb shank. Service needs to be better organized or an expeditor in the kitchen needs to be added. I overheard another table nearby having the same issues.

I would like to give it another shot but its going to tough convincing my wife to go back.

10/10! Best place for persian food in ottawa. Came here tonight and was seriously impressed. Honestly a lot better than some of the places I’ve ate at in Toronto. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. The service is extremely friendly and the decor is so chic.

Awful service.unfriendly staff. We were seated and had to wait 15 or 20 minutes before someone came to take the order.
Then after an hour we still didn't get the food we ordered. We've been told 10 minutes, then another 10 minutes. The kids got very hungry and all we got is bread and soup.
What really triggered me is that we wanted to pray beside an empty spot, they were very rude telling us, "No, you can't do that, we don't want other people to feel uncomfortable! ". I had to pray outside in the cold!
Also beware that they claim to sell halal food, but they also sell wine and alcohol, so if you're not okay with that, stay away.

As for the food itself, it was okay, but the quantities are less than what you'd get elsewhere for the same price.

Bad experience overall, won't be going there again.

The interior design is nice comparing to the other Persian cuisines, and what a surprise that they serve liquor, you can’t find in any other Persian cuisine in here even the beer! Staff were friendly.we ordered the dish for family and it didn’t say that we will have 2 koobideh kabob and half Barg Kabob and hald joojeh Kabob for 2 people! Rice and Kabob’s taste and quality wasn’t such a wow. Salad was just a salad but i liked the souse that came along inside the salad.

We went with a big group of friends. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was very delicious. Highly recommended!

Staff at this place is amazing! The food is great and you won't be disappointed if you stop in for dinner. From the hostess to the waitresses and the chef place is dope!

On Saturday Sept. 17/2022, my husband and had a 6: 30pm reservation at Persis Grill to celebrate a special occasion. Upon our arrival at 6: 25pm, the hostesses (a woman and a man) told us that they could accommodate us ONLY IF WE COULD EAT AND LEAVE WITHIN HALF AN HOUR! The reason: they had a group wedding booked for 7pm. Since we were celebrating a special occasion, we certainly were hoping to have more than 1/2 hour to wine and dine in a relaxed atmosphere. Their suggestion seemed quite unreasonable to us and we declined their unapologetic offer. Evidently, we were very disappointed and for this reason, we have given them the lowest star rating available.

Food was delicious and service was very good.
The restaurant was clean and nice ambiance.
Food portions are a bit smaller in comparison to some other Persian restaurants and it is towards the pricey side but the quality of the food was really good.

They service soup and bread at the beginning that we loved too.
Will come back for sure.

One of the most amazing Persian restaurants I’ve been in the Ottawa. I went there alone for takeout, and I loved the food and the atmosphere so I took my family there. The food was tasty and delectable. Staffs were nice and respectful. Thank you for your great service.

The portions are very small not like it used to be. The presentation is bad and the taste is different. No sauce comes with their food it is hard to swallow.

We shared the dinner for two. It was delicious and there was plenty of food. In fact we took some home because we couldn't eat it all. Service is also fantastic. Love the robot server!

Great sit-down space, nice staff, a bit pricey. The beef kabob made with peppers and onions, or the one with torshe (sour pomegranate and nuts) are unique and absolutely delicious - best in town! The koobideh is standard but not the best. Jujeh is excellent.

Awesome place for a date night. Great ambience, delicious food, very reasonably-priced for portion size, and excellent service. Loved the decorations on the walls!

Had the opportunity to try this recommendation. The food was generous and delicious! Everyone working was extremely helpful and kind! Definitely a great spot for unique and tasty food!

Well worth it! Portion sizes are generous and the kebabs with saffron rice were on point! I was going to take a picture, but we ate it all lol

Manager is disrespectful and unprofessional, I had a small issue and just wanted to speak to him. He refused to come and speak to us and sent us a message with the waiter that he is busy. They had only 3 or 4 busy tables and the whole restaurant was empty.

This restaurant has good food, I order lamb shank from them its was very tasty, rice served with the meal. Their cold appetizer are the best. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

One of the most delicious dishes I've ever had. I won't forget the taste of quality meat in Koobideh Kanab. Absolutely recommend it to have a nice time with friendly stuff and quality food

Update: our last 2 visits, one being today and second about a month ago were both a bad experience. First time I thought it was a one off and ignored but had a similar experience today prompting me to update my review. Not sure if it's under new management or just going down in standard. My issues for both visits was missing Sumac and today I even asked if sumac was in the bag and they replied yes. Traveled 30 mins to home to found out once again no sumac. And the bread on both occasions was hard and probably stale.

Authentic and flavourful persian food. Juice tender meat, long grain rice and all the fixings. A bit on the pricey side but a good place to Indulge once in a while.

Incredible food! I had the absolute pleasure of sitting with the owners, talked over the recipes and techniques to create such amazing flavours and enjoy the ambiance of this fine establishment! I had to take out because I went there almost at the closing time. Food was good, people are nice but portions were a little small for the price.

I’ve lived close by to Persis for a few years now, finally decided to give it a try. I’m disappointed in myself for waiting so long.

I ordered the lamb shank stew. The portion was large, the meat was extremely tender, flavourful. Side salad and warm bread was also tasty.

Knowledgeable staff that explains their menu. Tenderloin was delicious and stuffed grape leaves were really tasty too. Great combinations of traditional Persian food. Highly recommended and we look forward to going back again.

The server was even less Persian than me, but was friendly and competent. The takhte jamshid silverware was a very nice touch and something I haven't seen at other Persian restaurants. Décor was good, but it would be nice if the music being played was Persian (rather than Spanish). 4 stars only because the doogh isn't homemade and even worse, it came in a bottle labeled "ayran. " Turkish rugs are no substitute for Persian carpets (there's a reason why Persian rugs are sold worldwide despite not being "double knotted") and ayran is absolutely no substitute for doogh.

Great Persian food. Removing one point as if you don't ask for the condiments usually offered during dining in, you will not get them in your take out order. Very Covid safe otherwise

Food was tasty and being able to finally dine in was a treat. 2 Of the original items we wanted on menu were not available, and our appetizer never came. Despite not getting what we wanted, food tasted nice for good value.

Persis Grill was a discovery for me, great food and superb staff. The ambiance is peaceful like having lunch or diner in a 5 star resto.keep up the great job. I recommend to all my friends.

The food was good, but it was $31 for one meal that had just 2 skewers on rice with a side salad. So it’s very expensive.

Food was amazing. Bring your own Wine was not explained on site. $10.00 a bottle you bring for them to open it and give you glasses. A bit much.

There have already been a few detailed reviews and I really have nothing new to add. The food was really quite excellent. I had the Sultani Kebabs and they were tender, juicy and succulent.not overpowering with spices.paired with fluffy rice.get the add ons to being your rice to the next level, you won't be sorry
There is no extensive wine list, though you can bring your own for a modest cooking fee. A limited selection of cocktails and beer is available.
The place settings are quite nice, clean and like new.no chips or scratches and the cutlery was elegant and sparkling clean.glasses are crystal clear.

My review is about the server. Shame on you! I was there Friday night (Feb 28,2020) for my friends birthday-we brought our own wine as this restaurant allows and there was 10 people at the table. I told the waiter to put the corking fees on my bill as I knew we would have more than one bottle (there were 10 people). A few minutes later he told me that there were too many bottles of wine on the table and their restaurant does not allowed people to just sit and drink their faces off (we were not drinking out of all of them at the same time) so I took 2 bottles off the table and placed them on the floor. (this left 2 bottles on the table of 10). NOTE: at no time did he explain the menu.the restaurant.or the wine on the table "law". When we went to order dessert, my friend wanted a cognac. The waiter just said "no". Awkward moment to say the least.
When asked why.he looked straight at me and said. "we had this conversation earlier and you chose to ignore me". I was dumbfounded. I was a guest at this birthday get together. Not the person in charge!
Our group had opened 3 normal bottles of wine throughout dinner and shared between 10 of us! Certainly wasnt a KEG PARTY! This waiter was so condescending to me and the other people at this table that I will NEVER return out of principle and I will deter anyone I know not to go.unless they want to be treated like children! Ps.it was my friends 62nd Birthday!

Today was 2nd visit to Persis Grill. This is one of the best place I've eaten. Fresh healthy food, tons of flavor, clean place and pleasant staff. A must go!

This restaurant is outstanding! The meat is extremely tender and tasty. The bread is warm. The portions are great. The decor is cozy and nice. The waiter is knowledgeable. And it's a "bring your own wine" restaurant! Looooved it! Will definitly come back!

I've been coming to Persis since it's opening. The food is always outstanding and they offer a wide variety of dishes.

Staff are always polite.

Good prices and has a clean casual atmosphere with a few eat in tables.

Love the baking available also.

This is now my new favorite Persian restaurant in Ottawa! Just visited on November 20,2019 with the kids and had the Koobideh Kebab and the Fesenjan. Both plates were very delicious. The complimentary soup and bread were pretty good as well. Portions are big, had to pack up the leftovers! Staff is really nice and the service was quick:)

For a Lebanese restaurant, I really enjoyed it better than a regular Shawarma. But the service could be worked on to have more attention to the customers when needed.

I ordered from here through SkipTheDishes and was thoroughly disappointed. I’m minutes away from the restaurant and my order was cold and worse, incomplete. The meat dish was tasty but the portion was small. The calamari was so greasy I could pour the oil out into a cup. An unbelievable let down given the high price for a meal that I then had to supplement with another order from elsewhere. My first and last experience with this sort of cuisine.

Friendly staff and beautiful decor. Fast service. The soup and barbari bread were very good. Kubideh was tender but taste could be better.

We ordered “Torsh Kabab” which was not sweet and sour, and chef tried to hide the tastelessness of it by sprinkling crushed walnuts on it
Zereshk polo was badly made and mixed with so much oil and turmeric water to deceive saffron was used in making!

I must share my experience here today. I will start of my saying the food is simply perfection as usual. It's not the 1st time and definitely won't be the last time. This is not what I came here to say. What I came here for was to share the garbage service I received from Uber eats delivery. Now that I know this resto delivers never will I use Uber again. Order Str8 from the restaurant. Long story short Uber said they tried to deliver my food which they didn't and when I called they said the driver threw it in the garbage. It sounds like a driver scam to me sort of can't blame him he probably couldn't get over how good the food smells. They ended up telling me they can't give me a refund ontop of that. This restaurant went above and beyond. They replaced my order free of charge and had thier driver send it to my house. That is customer service at it's finest. If I could give 100 stars I would. Thank you for that. Highly recommend this establishment as a whole.

Delicious! A hidden gem in Orleans for sure! Good value with great menu options. My chicken skewer was very moist, rice was so flavourful, and salad was nice and fresh. Just about everything here is gluten free! I definitely recommend.

Nice restaurant, pleasant atmosphere, nicely decorated. Food is delicious and they serve as an entrée a yummy soup. Plenty of choice and very tasty.

Parking is abundant and there are other interesting store around.

This is a very clean, well decorated restaurant. The service is outstanding. The best I have had in a long time. When you go in you will be promptly seated. They bring you water and menus and return shortly with soup and bread. They check back for your order and once your order is placed it come out in relatively quick fashion.

The food was really good. I only have one other Persian restaurant to compare with and the other one, in Vancouver, was certainly better. That said, you will not be disappointed here. I had the Barg Kebabs. I was a bit surprised that it did not come out as a kebab but rather a thin steak. When I order kebabs I expect the skewers meats that anyone would. Regardless, it was tasty and perfectly cook to medium as requested.

My wife had a stew and she loved it. My daughter had a chicken kebab and IMO it needed more flavor. It was predominantly lemon. Not what I expected.

I loved the rice. It was noteworthy because of how soft, tender and fluffy it was.

Over all, this place is well worth visiting. Expect 18 - 25 for the entrees. There are appetizers but you do get complimentary bread and soup to start so judge your need accordingly.
