Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital

After my knee replacement, I went to the Physio department at the Perth Hospital for 5 weeks. Chantal and Dayna were amazing. They were completely professional, extremely knowledgeable and so helpful. Thank you for helping me with my rehab.

Great staff and quick service kinda like how that place use to be! Sadly understaffed like no one should have to work 12 hour splits…

Sept 4 23 - Between 11: 30am and 12 noon, 5 patients arrived at Emerg. None connected with another. At 6pm, all 5 patients are still sitting in the waiting room. Many others arrived for treatment after 12noon, many left without being served in Emerg. If there was a rating available lower than 1 star, I would have chosen it. As a member of this community, I'm embarrassed for such poor service offered.

The doctor has been just standing there for 45min, no one's been called in 2 hrs plus only 4 people here! So unorganized!

Just straight up tip tier profesialism. Utmost respect for them. They've helped me so much recently.

I was suffering with severe pain in my stomach area and after a meal i was practically buckled over not able to move but the pain was tremendous. My wife drove me to Perth Memorial Hospital and I was looked at almost immediately (I guess they recognized the severity of the problem) and put on a IV solution. The doctors took care of me like I have never been taken care of before and after some tests they concluded it was my gull bladder that was giving me all the grief.
They had to admit me and I was there for four days, but those four days were like none other at a hospital.
All the nurses and doctors seemed to go above and beyond to make me comfortable and explain things and again truthfully I have never felt like everyone cared before in any other hospital like they did here.
Yes they can use some equipment, like a MRI etc.etc.but given what they have it was excellent. No complaints what so ever.

I went to the Almonte hospital due to an elbow issues I had been dealing with for years. I finally walked into the hospital and waited about 12 hours to see a doctor that told me it was tennis elbow and that I didn't need an x-ray (after I insisted). I was very upset!
I then went to the Perth hospital. I was seen by 4 different technicians, nurses, and the doctor and found out that I had a chip in my elbow and was scheduled to see a specialist. I was out of the hospital in 3 hours!
The Perth hospital is amazing

Was at the wrong hospital for an xray and they just contacted the other hospital to get the request transferred to them and I didn't have to wait that long either.

The Perth hospital has the best ER doctors and nurses! They do their job perfectly and always have so much compassion for their patients! My son has been through so much lately! Knowing my son is getting the best care when he needs it, takes so much stress out of the situation!

Worst hospital I've ever been to, my wife is suffering from cancer and they had the nerve to ask her if she even had cancer after 15 weeks of chemo

I've had a handful of experiences with this hospital now and all I can say is I've always felt well taken care of and the doctors took the time to deal with your ailments. Evidently wait times are an issue everywhere, but I've experienced hospitals in the past that were a complete nightmare. Overall happy with Perth Hospital.

All volunteers, staff, technicians, nurses and doctors were very kind, professional and friendly also efficient. Saw registration, X-ray, ER. Thank you!

3 hour wait in the front of the ER but when we arrived at the back, the Doctor was in within a few minutes.

Wife brought my mother-in-law to the emergency. She got a call halfway back home. The door was locked. She picks her up brings her back home. Calls the hospital, "Oh we're open, that's just something we do throughout the week" they said. I'm sorry? Do people stop needing hospitals 10am on a Sunday? What kind of sense is that? Also, maybe TELL PEOPLE WITH A SIGN ON THE DOOR? !

Been waiting since 2: 30 it’s now 7: 30 and still I’m waiting room front desk is terrible with information, unless you want a 5hour wait to see just a nurse avoid this hospital

First time visiting this hospital (Perth) and the service at the emergency registration desk was extremely terrible. They were 2 females sitting at the registration desk 1 and 2 on their computers, they did not acknowledge us standing in line. I waited over 15 minutes then I approached the desk and asked Jessica H (patient registration) are you going to help us to register? At first she did not respond and then eventually yelled out we are not ready for you. (people behind me were saying the service was never like this, others looking at their watches or people saying they are going to be late for their appointments). I was 15 minutes late for my appointment even though they suggested showing up 15 mins early. The department I went to the staff was friendly and professional.

Gabriella took out my stitches today, she was wonderful! I wanted to hug her because she gave me the best care that I have ever received in a hospital. Thank you so much!
