Pet Paradise Express

I purchased 3 glow tetra fish on Wednesday. I asked if they can be hard to keep alive as I have not had success with them at another store. Apparently they do not find a problem with them and I was told they guarantee their fish for 7 days as long as your water tests safe. The next morning 2 out of the 3 were dead. I took the 2 dead fish in with a sample of my water. The girl there was very nice and tested my water. It came back safe for the fish however she still had to go to the back and show the manager (who I saw out front earlier) to confirm the water was good. They replaced the 2 glow fish for me and my 87 year old mother also bought 3 different fish for her aquarium. I asked them again if glow fish can be finicky because my other fish in the tank have survived. He said they have not had that experience. I asked him what type of water is best and he (the manager) also gave me his advice. The next morning (today, Friday), all 3 glow fish were dead. I took the fish back but not a sample of the water this time as it was tested the same day I added the fish (yesterday) so felt it was redundant to test the water. The manager told me he did not have the girl go back and show him the water that was tested yesterday but it didn't matter anyhow, he would not replace those fish again. The guarantee on the fish is only a one time replacement however I was not told that and it DOES NOT say that on the receipt. I told him I didn't want the glow fish again as they would likely die again and I was willing to replace them with a more hardy fish. He said glow fish are very hardy. He would not replace them for me and was quite rude as he just continued to wipe down his fish tanks during our conversation and did not look at me. I was hoping to deal with a smaller store for my fish purchases and accessories however it won't be Pet Paradise. Another customer lost to this store permanently!

My go-to spot for my reptile and pet needs. Staff is always very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Prices are always reasonable. Stock is great most of the time. I drive out of my way to go to this store simply because they’re the only store I trust with questions and supplies.

Amazing staff, almost ALWAYS have the supplies and stock we need, always something new to check out, amazing care of the animals in store, and the staff are very knowledgeable!

This is my favorite pet store because they have really cool reptiles and invertebrates. They have so many frogs, tarantulas, scorpions, lizards, snakes, etc. Their fish section is pretty basic (they have a lot of options, but i haven't seen any saltwater species or fish that you can't find any other shops) but they all look healthy and well cared for so I cant complain.

Great location with beautiful well kept reptiles and fish. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Decent range of products available as well! Me and my family will definitely be back!

Great experience here. Way more value and knowledge than your run of the mill store. Staff is great. Well stocked. The two dudes that work here are awesome. I'm sure there's more staff but the two young guys know their stuff. Thanks guys.

Guys help me set up my bearded dragon enclosure with a nice BIO set up. Super happy and so is the dragon. Thanks again for everything guys. Great staff and well stocked.

Well there's nothing bad to say about this place best place to go if you want smiles good service I drive a distant just to get the service I get there I feel like I'm family and I'm welcome and I wouldn't go nowhere else and I send everybody to the Pet Paradise team

I wish I would have asked the man's name, but he's tall with brown shaggy hair- he's amazing! I came in with a million questions about taking care of a corn snake as I'm very interested in owning one. But also an anxious person who needs to make educated decisions. He is very passionate about his job, and very knowledgeable and made me feel so much better about my decisions and choices to ensure I keep a healthy reptile. Appreciated it SO MUCH. Would love the management to know how amazing the experience was! If you can track him down, my partner and I visited on March 4th at 6 pm at the preston, cambridge location. Please thank him again for us! We will be back:)
