Cat owner here. This place has helpful & courteous staff. They usually have what I need in stock (if not, then it's a short wait).

The best service for you and your pet. I don't go anywhere else. I always get help, and never feel like I'm being oversold or undersold.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Also has free parking for customers. Over the pandemic/last couple years, there were a lot of issues with getting the usual brand of food for my cats because of supply chain issues. The staff offered suggestions and even a sample for similar food. Ultimately the food was a no-go for my cat because they're horribly picky, but I really appreciated the effort from the staff here.

Love this place! Been coming here every month for the past 4 years to get human grade cat food and eco-grass litter:) It is always very clean and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable! They also have a really cool wash station for dogs at the back of the store and an adorable store kitty that walks around!

Such friendly staff here! I brought my cat in her backpack and harness to help pick out her next bag of food. The staff gave her a treat and some pets and compliments.

Their new space is large and well organized. Love this location! Very reliable and stock is always good.

We were excited to come into pet value because it was our dogs one year old birthday. My husband first went in to return a dog puzzle that the previous employee told us that's what we can do. Luckily they were able to return it but we're told just this once. Then I went and told the employees at front desk that it was our dogs birthday and asked if they give any treats or anything and they said that they give treats the same like any day and didn't even offer our dog one. Then I picked up a toy for our dog and asked if it was for agressive chewers and they said yes but our dog has been with this toy for less than half an hour and already has chewed off many pieces. Not impressed with the service today. We went in thinking we were going to get the usual pleasantry from the employees but we're left disappointed.

Amazingly kind and friendly staff i always love going to pick up my pets stuff from this place! Everybody is extremely knowledgeable in the store and can always help me with any of my pet needs

A staff approached with very sincere regards to help and ended up learning a lot about some winter apparel that was very helpful for protecting my dog's paws for thier walks. Always a delight to get my pets needs from them.

It's a small downtown pet store. They have pet stuff. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. No complaints.

WOW. This spot is one of the best experiences I've ever had in a pet store. It's a VERY well-run store with a great team of staff and great selection.
It was my first time booking the dog bath and for $10 it's probably the best value in all of Toronto! They sanitized the area after the previous users and ensured everything was clean & supplies were ready for my dog.
I really appreciated that the employee asked if my dog had allergies and she supplied us with treats to ease my dog into the bathing area.
They knew their products well and, above all: the staff seemed to really care about ensuring a good experience for our pets, which makes it a good experience for us.
It's not the closest pet store to me, but it's the place where I'll return because it's worth it.

Very helpful staff. They have awesome staff tending to customer service. My fur babies are happy because of them.

This location is horrible, please take caution if you purchase anything from them.
I had purchased a light for my reptile from them today that did not work, I called and was told I could Exchange it for a new one (one that actually works), but then I get a call telling me they won't switch it, and that I have to contact the company. This is unprofessional, and not right.

While I was on the phone the lady had told me that she tests all the bulbs, I asked if she uses her bare hands  she said yes, I told he that the oils and salts from the hands can damage the bulb, when I contact the company I will be sharing that information with them.

I will never recommend  or buy anything  from this location anymore, I am sure petsmart  down the street from them will be better if I need something quick of I need it.

Yes I had returned 2 lights previously because they would die after a week or two weeks of use, then I had purchased a daylight bulb that lasted less than 2 months hence why I purchased a new bulb today. Again I would not recommend this location, and for those who do shop at this location be cautious about what you buy.

Oh and just a little bit of advice if you guys continue to test the bulbs use gloves, not your bare hands, unless this is a way to have your customers keep coming back.

I miss going in here, but the curb side here is perfect. The hand off is perfect, the payment option is perfect, everyone’s so nice. Honestly anyone who complains about the curb side really needs to check themselves.

Recently demonstrated a real lack of understanding of accessibility during covid. Disappointed.

I have been going there for the past 4 years and today I have one of the worst experience there.
It's -7° and I called and placed an order and was told 10 minutes it would be ready and I got there and one other person and she had also placed an order which means it should be ready to be picked up and you have all the workers in the store chatting yet people outside waiting. After the lady leaves I went up and the employee went back in and standing at the counter chatting and looking in book while I'm standing in the cold. I will not go back there there's pet smart now at liberty village.

This specific location needs to come up with a better system for their curbside pick up. I have ordered multiple things from this location since COVID has started and have had a difficult experience every time. They take forever to get to your order.communicate through e-mail so it takes even longer. There is always at least one item in my order that they don't have. I have ordered from other PetValu locations and had my order filled in less than half an hour every time, and they communicate with their customers through telephone rather than e-mail.

Very helpful! The staff are friendly, very informational (male working today in particular). From my dogs and I thanks for the information, and the toys. I know their gonna love them.

We have been coming to this location for years now and they have always been welcoming. Their dog wash is always clean and available.

Awful customer service - staff gave me the wrong product then refused to refund or replace it. I'm a very loyal customer, spending thousands of dollars there over the course of my dogs life and will not be returning.

I had previously gave this location a 1 star rating and honestly would have given it a zero if possible. I had been going there for 7 years, 2 weekly. But a unjust situation happened under old ownership, management and staff happened to the point where the head office wasn't impressed at all, but because it was a franchisee they couldn't do anything avout the situation.

Now with a outstanding 5 star rating, (would give them a ten if I could) Only because of the new owner/manager and new staff. The owner goes above and beyond, he's extremely kind, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Goes oit of his way to make sure you have all your rewards programs in order.

There's a massive difference in the the staff members as they actually ask if you need help, take the time to explain anything you may have a question about. Also very kind & friendly.

I would be doing a disservice if I had not come back to edit my last review.

I highly recommend this licarion to anyone in the Parkdale, Liberty Village area. Hands down.

I can’t pass by with my dog without going in - they don’t carry the food my dog eats N&D, but not many stores do. I got my cute kitty here through the adopted service and she’s happy and healthy.

Self-serve $10 raised dog wash that comes with towels, treats, and shampoo. Every 7th one is free.

Awesome pet store with friendly knowledgeable staff and a large selection of great toys and accessories. Love getting my dog Bear some toys here.

I walked into Pet value with my adopted pet 11 months ago and we both never looked back. Friendly staff who always suggest products not according to sales pitch but according to your needs and price point. My pet loves to go to the shop, he is treated like a King there by the staff.

Our first experience at Pet Valu and with the Self Service Dog Wash - it was amazing! The price is really good, the place is well designed to the comfort of you and your pet
The staff were very friendly on helping us to use the self service bath for the first time.
And the store has a huge variety of pets products (foods, toys, tricks, etc.).

I definitely have my official spot in Toronto to take my dog on his monthly bath!

We have been here since getting our puppy a month ago. We have gotten all our care supplies, toys, food, and everything needed here. The staff have been super helpful, caring, and nurturing with our pup. After knowing us for only a month, they even supplied and advised us on how to bandage our puppies paw after we tried trimming her nails and nicked the quick, they were so nice, and so helpful. Couldn't recommend this store more, especially for the staff.

I called ahead looking to purchase a cat carrier and the staff were friendly and compassionate. I was able to locate the store easily and purchase the cat carrier at a reasonable price. Thank you!

A cheap place to get your nails done on your dog lots of products choose from just ones that they seem to think that everybody will buy

For years I have been shopping here. I was always able to bring in my dog who would get loved and spoilt each and every time! The manager Sharon is fantastic and she always smiles and know so much about the business!

The staff here are always so lovely! You can tell they truely are dog lovers. My dog and I love going "shopping" there. Always super well stocked.

Great do it yourself pet wash because it's always hard to leave your baby to a stranger to wash! They have a great selection of Canadian pet food as well!

We (and our doggo) love this place! They are so friendly and helpful every time we walk in, without being pushy. As first time dog owners, we are very clueless and they have been fantastic about product recommendations and information. They are very knowledgeable about their products. We also frequent PetSmart and global pet foods - pet valu’s products are priced similarly if not better and they often have a better selection. I also needed a receipt reprinted a few days after purchase and they were so easy to contact and pleasant about the transaction.

I love this place. Lots of choice, friendly knowledgeable staff and they also find homes for homeless cats. I support this place as I have 3 cats and a dog.
