The in store staff are super friendly and will help you find whatever you need. They also have a good collection of pretty much everything.

Super friendly staff and I’ve always found what I needed. The only downside is that all the chews are displayed on the bottom shelf and I’ve seen multiple doggies grabbing them while passing by:) Not sure if they are purposefully there but I hope they switch the shelves!

Excellent Store and Staff. Answered all my questions and very knowledgeable staff. Good assortment of Pet essentials. I had Melissa who was a really big help and knowledgeable. And thanks to the young man who helped assemble my Cat Crate. Jeff

Lost my business over a quarter, $0.25, twenty-five cents. Crazy but true. Thousands of dollars and years of business and they need their quarter.lol.

I'll make it quick.went in looking for a case of wet cat food and a bag of dry. While a worker fetches my case the cashier asks me if I'd like a bag. I say "no, I can handle it very well thank you". The other worker comes back and informs us that there are no more cases. After we put our heads together, we decide there are enough loose cans to make up a case. Wonderful, I get my discount. I pay my $130 for 24 days of food and look down at the loose cans and ask for a bag. The cashier looks uneasy and says she has to charge me the 25 cents. I say "but I have paid already". She informs me that she doesn't want to get "in trouble" and insists I have to pay. I lightheartedly plead "where is the civility? Where is the customer service? "

I give in with a bewilderment and a laugh, and tap the 25 cents on my credit card for a paper bag. On my farewell, I jokingly say "I will remember the 25 cents when I throw that bag down the garbage chute".

I wonder if this business will remember the thousands, the $1000s they have lost from my business over a quarter, a stupid quarter.

Customer service and common sense matter and this store lacks both.

I will renew my business with Pet Cuisine and Accessories just down the street. They were always quite kind and caring.

Been to this location a few times for cat food and supplies and it’s always been a positive experience.

I have been shopping here since last May. I have to say that recently I believed they have hired new staff. The new staff are horrible. They lack customer service and enthusiasm. They are not helpful. Everytime I go in they were standing around. When asked a question no one can help and not willing to help. Instead of saying key me find out, they said they don't know! This is the worst customer service ever. Linda and another person were always very helpful. The other person I don't have a name but always have dyed hair. Super friendly and warm. If you are the owner and reading this you need to get better staff. I know you are probably saving money hiring people who have no experience and no passion but you are also losing business. I am taking my business elsewhere. I can always buy the stuff I bought from you from Amazon but instead i come to you to support local business. I have enough.

My go-to pet store in the neighbourhood. They’ve got nice staff, and are always happy to see my big dumb dog. The variety doesn’t switch around a lot in terms if toys though, especially cat toys, and if you’re looking for something specific you might be out of luck. Overall a good store though!

Website says they have pet wash, show up to have the lady tell us it’s permanently closed obnoxiously. Never has items we need in stock. Terrible service

Having the same problem with this store like the others. Staff will not accept orders until emailed has been sent a day before. I am forced to go to the lower simcoe located which is pretty far from me. Can someone fire everyone there so i can buy my pet food!

Worst location ever. I’m consistently having issues with the staff but due to convenience I come back. After not being able to get in contact with the store all day to place an order I will not be coming back EVER. The staff are rude and give awful recommendations. Go support another business that actually care about their customers.

Absolutely Un professional And lazy staff I have been trying to order a specific leash at this store but I cannot find it on the website
I went in front of the store and called and asked if they can help me out finding what I need based of the descriptions I provided them over the phone and just give me the name so I can order it online
First girl who picked up the phone said I can’t do that you have to email us and we only reply by email
Then I asked for manager, RINA. The manager said I cannot help you maybe yob can try other pet stores, I asked if you can look at my file in your system and give me the name since I bought this before but she said I can’t do that you have to email me your request because if I do that it’s against the lockdown laws
I only wanted to know what the model Number is so I can order it online but 5 staff standing there having fun talking to each other refused to give me the name of the product I want over the phone.
This location is terrible please do not give them more business, these employees are taking advantage of the lockdown situation in order to be lazy and not work.

We came in the staff was COVID ready. They supplied us with everything we needed for our new kitten. Sorry I was horrible to Shelby on the phone. She remained calm and diplomatically solves all my answers. Promise to be a better customer

I love this store that Pet Valu on Front Street they are so friendly I'm pretty accurate with their knowledge on animals

I was just there. 3-4 staff and no one was helpful. I have them 3 stars for a good selection of product

Really crazy about random covid rules. Huge store but only letting in a few customers. Meanwhile there's 6 staff doing nothing. Store on Carlton has much friendlier staff. I will only go to that location.

They act like they don't want the business.

I understand the need for precautions during covid, but it's phase 3 (August) and they still act like they're in total lockdown. The storefront is a confusing and forbidding welter of "do not enter" signs. Entry is forbidden and the door roped off. You have to stand out in the street and wait to be admitted. This generally involves shouting in for attention because the staff don't watch the door or are too busy chatting. (I work in retail and understand capacity limits, but their square footage is large enough to accommodate six to eight including staff.)

Once in, they want to know if you know what you're looking for, get it, and leave. I'm not sure what they'll do if one says "no", because it's clear they really don't want people lingering or browsing in their empty space. The whole process is intimidating, unwelcoming, stressful, and worse - unneeded, and I'm done with it. I get my supplies online now.

I ordered over the phone and called them when I was parked on Princess St as instructed. Waited for 15 min still no one came out. I waived outside the door as I saw my orders on the floor on the other side of the locked door. Was completely ignored while 3 staffs were chit chatting.

I called again and again. Eventually someone reluctantly walked slowly and put my orders outside the door. Whole process took 20 minutes. This shop has always had attitudes and horrible work ethics. Been very patience and that was the last straw. Never going back to this one again. I rather drive a bit farther for another Pet Valu.

Best Pet Value to get my fluffy ones essential Big Country Raw food. They always have it fully stocked. Employees are always greeting you with a smile!

Although I am a regular customer, and I understand that the store is taking measures to deal with the treat Covid-19 can represent, I didn't appreciate the fact that an employee literally dropped/left the plastic bag with my order on the floor in front of my eyes instead of handling it over to me with care. Please inform the employees that the floor can carry many impurities leading to contamination too. This store dropped the ball this time.

Very expensive, but friendly and helpful staff. And a pretty (albeit angry/possibly misunderstood/probably rehomed) parrot mascot.

I was third at the cashier, but when my turn came, she suddenly left the cashier and began chatting to the other employees. I was alone in front of the cash register for a while. It took time to understand what happened in front of me. It's so rude.
I never had this kind of bad experience at Petvalu until today.

Amazing variety of products. Especially for small pets such as hamster. This is the only store I’ve been to that has everything I need for my hamster. Affordable, and great customer service!

I called before I went to double check if they had a specific cat food I wanted, and they told me over the phone that they did have it in stock. I immediately went over (took 30 minutes to get there) and when asking again for the same product, they didn’t actually seem to have it. Apparently some other employee answered the phone when I called and mixed up the product I asked for with something else.

The lady at the counter seemed nice, but would have appreciated not trekking over for something that they told me they had in stock.

This is a large store with lots of variety. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable on many topics. One of my fave locations. They have late hours which I like.

Has so many good products. There were multiple things I’ve been running around, checking boutiques/shops for but they never had them. They had everything I was looking for. On the down side, no one wanted to greet me or help out.

Over priced, poor stock, staff that just don't care. I now use Amazon. So long Pet Value.you're done, washed up, it's over and good day.
