Worst customer service I have had any Pet Value. Not a single staff member spoke to us. The girl at the cash was trimming her hair while we were searching for something. Then when we were ready to pay for our purchase we had to interrupt her scrolling on her phone. After we paid she tossed the receipt at me and told to to keep it in case we needed to exchange. It is also the only Pet Value that didn't ask if I had my phone number on file. Will never use this particular Pet Value again.

Prices so high it's like they buy retail from competitors and tack on 10-15%. Everything is more expensive.

I'd say the customer service was bad but we didn't get any despite being the only customer in the store.

What are you guys doing?

Go ANYWHERE else for a better price.

The customer service at this location is an absolute joke Genie the dog groomer made my dog look like she forgot to cut some of the hair off and when I called and asked why she did that she said it supposed to look like that! She’s been cutting my dogs hair for awhile and she never looked like that before! She offered to fix it so we took the dog back and she fixed it but from now on she won’t see my dog anymore! What a way to be an adult about making a mistake!

We brought our nine month old Bernese Mountain Dog here to use the dog washing facilities. Well worth the $12 to bathe and blow dry, the store personnel were very friendly and helpful, we will certainly be visiting again. Sorry for not having before and after photos this time around, I'll try and get some the next time.

I am so grateful to have luck on my side today! I went into Pet valu with three dogs hoping to use the wash station for two and one is groomed dog. Jeannie was so kind to offer some help in a free few minutes she had. I was beyond grateful and she was so patient with my feisty girl who was a total handful! I look forward to an ongoing relationship with Jeannie for my girl moving forward. She looks great! I learned so much in that short time about my dogs needs and her disdain for being groomed. I had no idea. The store staff were super helpful and friendly with me trying to get two dogs washed and dried and be handling three at once on my own. It was so appreciated to be met with patience and kindness today. I always use this location for my cat food. Today was a full on experience that I saw how great this location is. Thank you!

The drop in nail trimming service is great! I’ve been coming here for years. My dog isn’t too fond of this and often isn’t very cooperative. The patience and composure to deal with the difficult dogs is remarkable. I only come here and can only praise the service.

Very slow service! Only 1 person working, and discussing nothing with someone else while I’m waiting to pay for my stuff. Not the first time the cashier was having a conversation while I was waiting to pay!

Store groomer is known to my 8yr old lab/husky x as 'your girlfriend' and he'll rush to visit. Jeannie's grooming services are excellent however it's the
customer relationship that brightens the 5 stars. I've never had a problem.nor has my large dog.

Worst customer service. Was in twice to look for specific items was not helped each time even when I asked. Did an exchange, asked for my receipt cashier said it was in the bag clearly wasn’t so I asked again for it and said didn’t know where it was. Had our dog groomed here and was happy but with on going circumstances with following visits for products will be going elsewhere

Today at around 3: 30 - 4pm I was at the store and for the first time i was treated terribly by one of your employees. I have never been treated with such disrespect, I am not sure what this employees problem was but she cannot bring it to work and take it out on the store customers. I am a regular customer at this location and in previous days everyone's very professional until today. When I tried to pay she asked my to throw the money on the counter and before I could finish paying she accused me of paying her short, she did not answer my questions, she was angry and rushed with answers as if I was taking her personal time. This ONE STAR rating is not for the store it is specifically because of todays employee. Someone needs to speak with her as she is bad for the business if she treats all the customers with in an unprofessional manner, anger and disrespect.

Staff are super helpful and nice. Love the return rules on pet food. My little guy can be picky sometimes and I'm grateful I'm able to return food if it's already been opened.

I love taking Dexter for his bath at this place. And he's such a large variety of food and clothing I could be in there for hours.

These cows won't let you shop, the staff touch everything without gloves but I'm not allowed to shop. Be like the gerocery stores let people shop if you're open. You guys need to close your doors. Absolutely pathetic

Pet Valu was an absolute life saver today! Went to a different place for my dogs grooming today and was sent home with a soaking wet dog so I went to pet valu to finish my dogs bath. While I was there I asked the groomer, Jeannie, if she would be able to accommodate a nail trim for my Romeo. She went above and beyond for my boy. Not only did she do his nails, she did his pads and dematted him for me, all last minute, I’m so glad I met her! I know where my both my dogs are going for grooming from now on.
Great owner, great staff, great groomers!

The owner was helpful, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to deal with. A well stocked organized clean store. Will definitely shop there again.

Friendly enough guy working, managed to find what I was looking for and the guy working was able to answer my question about a product and offered a return if it didn't work out as planned.

Excellent grooms done here for my dogs! The dogs are actually happy to go there! I haven’t had that experience in other stores for whatever reasons. Would highly recommend!

Petvalu on upper James is the best!

You can make your own dog tags there, they have pet baths, and a huge assortment of pet accessories and foods.

Staff is very kind and helpful!

I love to support my local businesses. A great place to find a lot for your pet. The people who the owner has hired are and very helpful and lovely.

Excellent selection and variety of dog food, treats and accessories at very reasonable prices. Very knowledgeable staff and friendly. There were some urine puddles throughout the store which was disappointing as the store was quiet.

They have a self grooming bathtub area for $10 all the shampoo and towels you need plus brushes and a dryer

I love how this place is set up and organized. Bakery section where I got my puppy a treat for his birthday. A girl there was really nice and shared her story about her dog. I felt welcomed:)

The staff were friendly and efficient. The products are easy to find and come in different price ranges.

Do not take your dog here for grooming. One dog began vomitting from fight when on the grooming table because the set up was totally unsuitable.
Another dog left injured after getting nails clipped all due to groomer pulling the dog's legs.
When I called to inform the owner he blamed the dog. The dog.uh no the dog has more competitive obedience and agility titles than a PhD. So if you love your dog don't have them groomed at this store.

This location is fantastic, the gentleman who owns it is always friendly and helpful as are his staff. The store is meticulously maintained, organized and the "dogwash" is also neat and tidy! Good point pricing and good deals!

Terrible customer service, rude staff, unorganized and unpriced merchandise. I do not recommend.

Just went there and and tried to exchange the frozen raw food I bought 2 days ago.my wife misplaced the receipt.our dog doesnt digest beef aswell as chicken.and I was met with a lot of questions and attitude.wouldnt offer to call the manager to rectify the situation.instead forced me to buy another box and now I'm stuck with a 15$ box of food my dog cant eat.very disappointed seeing as we spend thousands of dollars a yr on stuff from that store. Zero customer service!

I come in regularly and I love using the huge dog bath. The staff are always so friendly and help me with my everything I need for my dogs. This great service makes it easy to go there for what I need. (My favourites are Brittney and Iris. They know their stuff!).

I wish they had carts for carrying out multiple heavier items like bags of cat litter. The employees always offer to help but carts would be very useful

They offered gourmet pet treats that LOOK like bagels, but dont let that fool you, they are not bagels, they are dog treats. For that purpose, well done.
