This used to be a great store years ago when Russ owned it. It is probably the worst pet store ever now. Staff are not trained at the front worth a darned. No one offers to take food out for you anymore. Thought I'd make things easier this time and bought a bird product online and paid for it with a credit card. Came to store to pick it up and staff didn't know how to process it. I will be happy when petsmart comes.
Super unfriendly staff. Won’t be back. In fact downright rude to me and my puppy. And don’t try to tell.me that my little 8 week old puppy (who I was holding) was scaring the other animals. Not true. Just very unfriendly staff.

Pet Value Huntsville sold me a sick fish that was ill with Ick. It quickly passed away from the parasites along with my 7 year old Goldfish who was very much loved in our family. He is irreplaceable and will be missed.
I went in to ask some questions about hypoallergenic options for my cats because we're not sure if they have food intolerances or environmental allergies. I spoke to Nikita and she was very knowledgeable and made helpful suggestions! I recommend this location!
This store is great, but I'm a little concerned about how the entire old staff disappeared when the new owners took over. That's not usually a good sign. Now that we're out of lockdown and I can go in with my dogs, I'll have to see how things are.
The employee standing out front smoking a cigarette, then coming back into the store coughing all over the store and not wearing her mask properly was very unpleasant to deal with. I will take my business elsewhere.
I went to the store yesterday for my one shopping outing per week per current "lockdown" COVID rules. Upon arrival an employee came out and told me I had to pre-order for curbside pickup and I was told to go to my car and call. I told the employee that I didn't have a cell phone and she said, "sorry, you have to call or order on line". So, I was sent away.
I didn't know about the pre-ordering before and I will do that today (and go out in public a again) but I was standing there at the time - is it not sensible to just ask me what I wanted then? I looked it up and found that the government rules identify pre-ordering as the preference but they do not indicate that a person cannot be served curbside without pre-ordering. The rules only state that there is no in-store shopping. I suggest that, in future, a person who is caught unawares is just served and asked to call ahead next time - doesn't that just make sense?

The staff here are wonderful. I always am treated with kindness and given knowledge readily. Whenever I have unique requests (like calling ahead to pay) they are happy to help and willing to go the extra mile. Even just over the phone they are kind, warm and extremely helpful. I will always go to them for any pet-related purchases and refer others to this store as well!
Limited stock compared to the other stores and the fact that they close at 6pm almost every night! Not convenient at all! Especially when you live out of town.

Love these guys, they're always so helpful. Whenever I come in for dog food with my toddler, they always offer help which makes a bigger difference then I think they know!
