Awesome place with a bunch of washing stations with great products. Great service from employees who clearly love what they do. If you have a pet, especially a dog or cat, this is your go-to pet store in Markham/Unionville!

A lot of brands of pets products, but the prices is a bit more than expected. They had a self service pets bath, which is a good idea for the furry owners

CAUTIOUS if you want to go to this location for grooming!

I took my cat to be groomed however surprisingly noticed the groomer has her big dog there, UNLEASHED. (Really small space but two large dogs as well as others three smaller dogs there)

When her dog standing up and sniffing my cat, I told the groomer I was worried about my cat might be scared. She somehow became angry: “don't worry. That is my dog. I know my dog. She's not gonna EAT your cat. ”

I explained to her that I am not worried if my cat will be eaten. I was simply worried about my cat will be scared. However, she became even angrier ~ it’s like I have offended her by telling her that my cat might be scared by her unleashed big dog.

After asked me to come back in 1.5 hours and shut the door, I decided to take my cat home without grooming. I don’t feel comfortable leaving my cat there for about one hour and a half with that angry groomer. I will never go back there for grooming.

Excellent location, always well stocked and friendly staff. They ways have good events a few times a year!

This pet valu has an amazing dog wash! They have the automated system where the shampoo and conditioner is mixed with the water. Super friendly staff and a huge selection of products

Out of all the pet valu stores, this location was one of my favourites to shop at. I've always had a good experience with the staff and I enjoyed how well kept and fully stocked it was. But I'm pretty disappointed that I keep leaving the store annoyed and frustrated these days, just because of one of the female cashiers. I'm confused if her attitude is always rude and stuck up, or if she just has a bad day every time I visit, but I don't understand why she would work in customer service and give off bad vibes when a customer needs help or has an inquiry? As much as I want to keep supporting this store, it's unfortunate how one bad apple can make a simple visit to the pet store a grueling experience.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR GROOMING! TERRIBLE SERVICE AND COMPLETELY RIPPED ME OFF! A few weeks ago, I tried out the service called nails, ears, feet and bum and was told everything was done when I picked up my dog. I only noticed how terrible of a job they did when I got home. They had not plucked my dog's ears when they said they did and did a horribly uneven job on his bum. I could hear my dog screaming very loudly inside when they were cutting his nails which he does not do when he goes to any of the other grooming salons I've been to. Will never go to this location ever again. Save your money and go somewhere else. They wasted both my time and money.

5 stars to crazy salesman that chased down and SCREAMED across the street when I exit through the wrong door. Great service and tactic to treat customer. Keep it up. I think company should review this salesman performance and give him a raise on keeping the door safe, during zero customer hours?

No I did not mix anything up. I was in your store around 5pm, walked around, went out the other door at the back facing Birchmount road. And a staff ran out and shouted across the street at me “YOU CANNOT GO THROUGH THIS DOOR! ”
Like I went into the door to his house. Anything to reply to that? He is about 1.65m, Asian, Male, about 30-40 years old. Don’t deny it. And no, you are not friendly, you don’t even greet people walking into your empty store. ‍️ how friendly is that?

My favorite Pet Value. The store is big and carries a wide selection of food, treats, accessories for all type of pets (dogs, cats, hamster, etc.). The dog wash stations are well equipped from different soaps and a few different scented sprays for your dog. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

I used the pet wash. It was very convenient and they supply shampoo (A gentle puppy formula and a whitening shampoo), towels, aprons and have a cool air dryer.

Came to this location to use the dog wash for the first time ever. Had a great experience and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely come back!

Staff are great here! Also everything is organized very well and the special promotion products are arranged very nicely. Sometimes you can get free treats:) my small dog unfortunately both peed and pooed on the floor: (but the staff were nice and helped me clean it up. I (of course) had to carry the little bigger afterwards though lol.

This place is nice since most of the items are fully stocked. Service was ok. Asked for a sample during checkout and they acted like they didn’t really want to give you when they have sooo many samples stocked behind the counter.

Used to take my dog here to buy food and to take a doggy bath. Owners are super friendly and helpful.

Very well maintained large store, clean, neatly arranged shelves and clutter free aisles. Bonus points for extremely helpful and courteous associates.

Love that you can take your pet and do a self serve wash, oddly fun and when you have 4 dogs, it definately is cost friendly

The most helpful, kind, patient staff.

My dog Ruby has lots of food allergies and the staff spent their time walking me through the best options. Never rushed me or made me feel like I was inconveniencing them with my questions.

Ruby is a 90lbs Doberman so cutting her nails has always been challenging for us and even for her vet who charged us triple the amount. We felt really hopeless, but Rachel (pet value’s groomer) was able to cut her nails without any issues (for only $16).

Their baths are always clean and stocked with shampoos / conditioners / towels. For only $10 it’s completely worth it.

I have other locations closer to me, but I’ll always pick going to this location first.

The pet manicurist, Jane, is very nice and friendly. Not to mention that she is very professional. I'm very satisfied with her surface.

Jinho and his team are always friendly, helpful and bring a great deal of experience from food, vitamins, clothing, toys, treats and grooming. I have been going to Pet Valu since Jinho opened his doors. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Always had good experience in this specific pet valu, staff are knowledgable, and I can browse the food ingredients as long as i can without scrooling eyes or weird face, highly recommand

This is by far my favourite Pet Value location. We actually live live closer to several locations, however go out of our way to attend here. Customer service is always great; all the staff are friendly and clearly very passionate about animals. They have a great self wash station, and a fantastic grooming service we use for nail trimming. The most important factor is that a trip to this store is always a positive and enjoyable experience for our dog.

This particular pet valu has great variety of products and supplies for all kinds of pets … I visited this store to try the dog self wash. My experience was so nice. The stations were so nice and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Although the location of this is a little far from me but i would definitely go there again.

Please do not leave your pets unsupervised for grooming and other services here.

I visited this store two days ago and left my dog for grooming for about two hours. After bringing him home he was super drowsy and uncoordinated and he was limping for two days. I communicated with the groomer but got no perfect explanation. I hope it doesn’t happen to any other pet families.
And if any sort of sedatives or tranquilizers are being used need to stop please.

Good staff! Well maintained and stocked store. They have a an area where owners can wash their dog etc.

A large modern pet valu in downtown Markham at Birchmount and hwy 7. All you need for your dog, cat and other pets from food, accessories, toys, etc. They also have a unique feature where for 10 bucks, you get to give your dog a bath complete with bath supplies and a dryer. Just watching the dogs being bathed is a great way to past the time and get a few good laughs.

Very clean and cozy store. All the staff are extremely friendly and are knowledgeable. If they don't know something, they go above and beyond to get you an answer!

Bad experience. I picked up some stuff in the store on weekends, when I pick up my stuff, the staff didn’t mention anything about their "return hours". I found i brought wrong thing when i got home, and went back to store, and they refused to do exchange, and then told me they only return from Monday to Thursday. Why you can’t tell your customer earlier, but choose to wait me come back to tell me this? And when I went back to the store on Monday, the staff asked me if I made appointment? Again they didn’t mention about i need appointment before. Are u just come up with ideas randomly and tell customers without notice like this? They screwed up my online order, and offered me a coupon, and i have to go to pick it up by myself cause i don’t have time to wait. And when i pay, THEY TELL ME THE COUPON CANT BE USED IN STORE! Again, no notice on their website, the website said any coupon will be counted in when i pay in the store. Anyway, never come back again.

Probably the best pet valu I've been to. Super friendly service and they are very well organized with their covid/pandemic rules. I went in for my self service dog wash appointment and was thoroughly happy

Large and clean store. Dog grooming available here. Lots of items and services for dogs and cats. There’s also stuff for birds, aquatic pets and small pets too.

Very disappointed with this cat litter box that I just bought.the door won't even close properly which is the whole point of a litter box and the smell gets out! Furthermore I didn't bother keeping the reciept because I highly doubted there would be anything wrong with a simple litter box!

I mean, have you EVER seen a PetValu with this kinda of ratings? Of course not, because typically you don't receive this type of care. My husband and I live downtown Toronto and will go out of our way to come here to order our food / pickup supplies because the staff is so incredible and knowledgeable. The owner/manager is a gem and all of the staff are so kind. This makes for an incredible and loyal following (obviously) as I am review #205!

We used the self service dog wash for the first time today, everything was well organized, clean and working fine. The clean/rinse system is pretty useful and easy to use. The team working at this location was great during this visit.

I took my dog here for groom and after picking up my dog she smelled amazing. Very friendly and nice staff, Good price and good atmosphere.

Fun to bring my little babies sniff around. Also, they provide self - clean for the doggies, especially good for big dogs, or if you don't wanna make a mess at home cleaning your furry, this is a good choice. I also like they give out some snack sample regularly, some my baby like some don't. So at least they could try before I purchase.

Large, well maintained store. Has a bit of everything, plus a self serve dog wash. My dog didn't like how slippery the tile was.

I don’t normally rate business but this is by far the best PetValu I’ve been to. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The staff proactively asked me if I need any assistance and clearly explained different options of raw meat to me. She even offered to carry the 24lb meat to the cash register, which to me is exceptional great customer service. The $10 dog wash is clean, tidy and I never feel rushed by the staff (Yes, only $10).

I recommend everyone to visit this store and experience their 5-star service.

Great selection of dog fashion / clothing. They seem to have every dog and cat food brands you can think of, and good selection of frozen raw food. The self service dog wash charges a reasonable $10. The grooming service seem very thorough and they really seem to care about the welfare of the animals. Location and parking is very convenient also.

Man at front desk with tattoos is very intelligent and gave me the correct food and helped my dog a lot he’s a good man give him a damn raise he actually helps and doesn’t just stand there

I just took my dog in for a wash. $10 and the dog baths are nice and cleaned regularly. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff!

This location now has 3 dog wash stations. It's easy to use, convenient, and relatively inexpensive! Makes is so easy to give your dog a bath!

We love this Pet Valu. The staff are knowledgeable and the owner is honest and hard working. They recently expanded and there are a lot of products on the shelves. Good selection of Frozen Raw. Lots of treats for your fur babies!

The staff were extremely helpful. I purchased a cat tower in the time I went to pull my car up front they had it loaded on a dolly and were waiting outside to load it in my car. There selection was also amazing, 10/10 would shop here again.

This store is my puppies' favorite one!
Clean and tidy, all products well placed and organized. Lots of good quality products (eat, play, wear). They have huge and clean shower area for owners to wash their puppies.

Excellent pet store, always a favourite for me and my dog to come to. Staff are very friendly and always make the experience enjoyable.

I did have an unpleasant experience the last time I visited. I was greeted by a sales lady who asked about my dog's diet. I explained what I fed my dog and she rudely told me that what I was doing was wrong. Felt pretty uncomfortable afterwards. I'd be more inclined to listen to my veterinarian or breeder about the dog's diet over a sales person. I don't think she worked for the store though and was a third-party sales person.

Have my dog showered today at this location. Great service, friendly staff. Definitely the store could improve on the bath towel, suggest to use material that have better water absorption and provide more towels.
